Happy packing day all!!!

Curt - we rented a few Disney movies this weekend that included characters I have read are on the ship but that Chase doesn't know. Anyway, one was snow white so I'm sure he will now easily spot you at the terminal.

Chase will probably go to Goofy's PJ party, does anyone know what night that is? I was thinking this would be a good night to go to Palo. He will just wear PJs, probably Mickey PJ's.

I hope everyone is having success crossing things off their list of things to do before the trip. Greg and I went out for dinner last night and went over our lengthy list!

I took suitcases out and moved my pile of "stuff that has to go" from our bedroom to the spare room. The sight of it all overwhelmed me and I had to come downstairs to look at our thread! The room upstairs is chaos, stuff everywhere!! Curt, I know how you feel, now that the stuff is in sight, the kids keep sorting through it and carting things off!!!

I am so ready for vacation.

Okay everyone -
I am nearly finished packing - i would say done, but I am one of those if there is room left, i throw in something else!

We leave tomorrow night to drive through the night - so i won't be able to post again unless it is from work tomorrow during the day - I will be so sad to miss everything you all have to say in the next few days - what if curt changes his attire, how will i be able to recognize him?

We should be easy to pick out - one little adorable blond with blue eyes, one little black headed asian beauty and two overgrown adults with smiles! I am redheaded and my hubby is brown headed with an authentic Pooh belly don't tell him i said that!!

I can't wait - just think, next week, we will all be together, enjoying a relaxing sunday afternoon - drinking and getting ready for the tea/mai tai DI celebration . . .

Hi all, needed to take a packing break. I'll make you all feel better. On top of packing and Thanksgiving DH and I have to move everything out of our basement before we leave. We are having it finished while away. It's about 1500 square feet and full of stuff. On top of that the kids won't let us work together while they are awake so we have to work while they are napping.
Thank God I'm so excited about this trip!!!!!

Well wishes to all of you signing off soon to begin your trip! We will pray for safe travel for everyone.

We will be wearing green mickeys on our clothes rather that wearing hats and will put some on our carry ons.

We don't leave til Fri at 12pm central time so I'l be hanging in here on the boards til the end.....

Kim--we'll leave the house Friday at about 12 pm as well, so I'll be on the boards until nearly the last minute (I'm sure some more hardy individuals will stay on later).

Hi guys- trying to pack and get those last minute things done.
Xmas tree went up today but no decorations yet. I truly don't have the energy and I hurt my back while packing. DD 10 isn't easily deterred though, we just got back from DS 13's hockey game and I'm exhausted.

Two more days at work and about 5 days worth of work to do in that time...... Oh well, I'm sure it will be waiting for me when I get back.

We're leaving Friday early morning and driving thru to Savannah then Saturday we'll get to the port, hopefully by 11.

Can't wait to lounge in the sun and have a nice frosty pina colada!
Can't wait to meet you guys!

Kim,
According to some old Navagators that I looked at, the PJ party is Tuesday, the same night as tropical night. It's from 7:30 to 9:30. I don't know if it's inside the kids club or if its held elsewhere. I hope that helps. Matt and Nicole are looking forward to it.

Now, I have a stupid question. I went on the dcltribute wallpaper site and picked out a picture that I want in the background of our door sign. How do I save the picture and edit it to add words? I did a search on "magnetic door signs" and came up with all sorts of info but what I'm looking for.

Anyone know if there's a thread on the technical details??? Sorry to ask such a pathetic question, but I am technically challenged!!

I hope packing is going well for all. I just looked on the St. John and St. Marteen websites and the weather is no less than 80 and sunny every day!!!! yippee I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

*Packing is 95% complete - hate those things you can't pack until the last minute!
*DH & youngest DS put up all the Christmas decorations
*Door Magnets are printed and ready to go
*Cancelled Mail and Newspaper
*Printed out my Lime Green Mickey heads

Things to do yet -
*Parent/Teacher Conference
*Basketball Scrimage tonight
*Doctor appointments
*Drop Murphy off at Kennel - I'm having major guilt...poor guy knows something is up!
*Obsess about things I've forgotten to pack

I'm in my pre-trip obsession mood. I couldn't fall asleep until midnight and was awake by 5:30 AM.

Just found out DS has Basketball practice until 6:00 PM on Wednesday night. So much for getting on the road early! Thank goodness we're just staying overnight at the airport which is about an hour away!

Can't wait to see you all on Saturday and some of you on Friday evening!

okay - weather bugs - help me find out the weather in Orlando for the week - i hope i packed well for that

I dropped the kids off at school today in their Disney Cruise sweat suits - they will wear them in the car, I think they are comfortable enough to travel in -

they told all their teachers they are going to Mickey's house tonight - I hope they are better with the characters they then were last year!

Am sitting at work - getting stood up by a patient, procastinating all my work so i can read our posts - can't wait to meet everyone

Gailyn - scrapbook is done for you! i had fun doing it and hope you don't mind that it is complete - ready for photos and autographs

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! THEY CAME!!!! MY DOCS CAME!!!! The UPS guy just left a little while ago and I now have my docs. Finally, finally, finally. Tonight we'll have a "filling out" party. There was no Bahamas immigration form, but I've seen where a lot of people aren't getting these lately, so I guess it's OK. But they came!!!!!

Disneefun--so glad you got your docs. Nothing is more frustrating or worrisome than getting things at the last minute.

Popovich--on the wallpaper:
1. Right mouse click the wallpaper and you should get a menu. Left mouse click "Save as..." You can name it whatever you want and since most people create their art with wierd names, you'll probably want one you can remember.
2. Try to save the wallpaper as a .bmp or .gif file if you can. You can choose how you save it at the bottom of the "Save as..." box. Put it in a folder where you can find it again. There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to find it unless your cruise docs don't arrive until the Monday before the cruise.
3. I don't know what software you are using to make your sign. I used PowerPoint, so all I had to do was go to "Insert", "Picture from file" and then find the right folder and picture. You should be able to do pretty much the same method if you are using another type of software.

If this doesn't work, let me know and I'll PM you.

Izzy--thank you for the weather update, we'll know what to pack for Friday and the port.

Kim--I wouldn't make fun of it. To me, anything that identifies the room, is sufficient. I did a magnetic sign because I don't have much of a life and have tons of extra time on my hands.

Are you kidding me? I only have two and sometimes have to remind myself to go to the bathroom. I quess that's just what happens when you stay home all day with a baby and 4y/o. OK its not that bad, but I am keeping my kids in the house this week to avoid getting any more viruses and they are bored and making me a bit crazy. Thank God we will all be sailing soon....

OK, the passporter says the wine tasting is usually Sun and Mon on the eastern. You don't need a reservation but need to register with guest services. Since tea is Sunday, lets do Monday. Somebody please show up because DH doesn't drink and I don't want to be sitting there all alone. I believe the cost is $12
