11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

Skylar had his first soccer game Saturday. Won 6 - 1. They were pretty evenly matched but the other team did not have a very good goalee for the first half. Our goalee during the second half watched one roll in the goal. Probably coaches idea--he hates to skunk any team!

Greg glad everything worked out for your vacation! Yeah, I'm almost caught back up. Still have to blow out the pool lines and put on the leaf net, then the pool will be done.

Since you like to research on the computer so much. Want to research Alaskan cruises for me? I don't like to do that much anymore.

Kathy, some of the questions on the driving test are crazy. I remember one the last time I had to take it asked about pulling a trailer and the tires... I had no idea what they were even talking about!

Denise, how did the showing go?

Nope, I have to pay tips OOP but the plan does include App, Entree, Dessert and Drink...much better than the basic plan. Plus you get to have 3 TS and 2 Snacks a day if you want the "free" plan you can only have 1 TS, 1 CS and 1 SN. For the extra $500 I paid it was a much better deal. I am going to get to eat at places I never have so I am really excited about that. Of course all the weight I am losing on WW will be a waste

Morning all,

Didnt take the test yet Greg. It will probably be thursday or next monday. depending on Gregs work schedule. We want to do it this week but he is so busy it may not happen until next week. But all has to be done by the 22nd.
We want to go together so we can pay for everything all at once for vehicles and licenses. Plus since we really dont have a Oregon address we have a special form to fill out and take in. In case they dont like our paper work I want us there together so I can blame it on Greg

I'll let you know when it happens.

Dawn thats great Skylar's team won. That always boosts their confidence for the next game.

Well summer is not over here. By monday we are back in the 90's
Upper 80's the rest of the week.

I worked on my FE gifts and everything accept one thing worked great. So if I can solve one problem it will be ok. I will go to Michaels and ask them about it.


Greg sounds like you got a good deal. We will be expecting a detailed report with photos when you return!!!

How much have you lost?
Everyone i know who has done WW has been successful. It comes off slowly but seems to stay off much better than other methods do.

I am keeping fingers crossed for you.
With all the walking at WDW you will walk off all the great meals, so it should balance it out!

What do you want to know about Alaska? Most of my family has been to Alaska and they all great experiences. Janel is wanting to do an Alaskan cruise....maybe we can all go together?

It should be an interesting cruise. I still really like the itinerary of our NCL cruise going to Barbados, but I was out voted by the rest of the family.

This RCCL cruise is going to Labadee Haiti, Colombia, Panama canal, Costa Rica and Grand Cayman for a total of 10 days....not really my itinerary of choice, but should be interesting.

Christine, I didn't gain a pound! They really are alot of options out there now. Unless you were like my daughter and had to have everything chocolate! Chocolate cake, chocolate shakes, Mickey bars,... But then you walk it off! The fruit desserts were to die for! They even had fruit bars at the BBQ as an option! Christian lost weight!

I think all the cruise lines going to Alaska are good and offer a great experience.
It all boils down to your style of cruising. If the kids are going with us then there are only 3 lines that I would even consider.....Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Disney.
The others are very nice, but don't offer as much for kids.

Depending on how our RCCL cruise goes in March next year...we may be loyal RCCL cruisers? I've been very impressed with how they've treated us so far....they offer 2br family stateroom that sleep 6-8 that fits our family perfectly and its much cheaper then having to book two connecting cabins.

I'd consider DCL if they're prices were comparable to the other cruise lines, but if they're starting out at $949...that's almost twice as much as the others.

Which side of the ship?...they're both going to be equal. Since the ships go up the coast and back down both sides will have the same opportunity to see the same things. Personally I'd like to have a balcony on the back of the ship then I can see both sides at the same time.

Which excursion? Most people go to Alaska to see the wildlife and glaciers and they have a lot of excursions to get you up close and personal to everything.....from helicopter ride to the top of the glaciers to train rides through Denali national park. They even have excursions that take you fishing for crab.

Yeah, we should see if we can plan to go together.

We switched because I was out voted. The rest of the family wants to see the panama canal, Costa Rica, and Grand Cayman. I'd rather be going to Barbados.....but I guess we'll do that one another time.

It actually worked out to be a much better deal for us. We got a 2br suite that will sleep our family of 6 plus its a 10 day cruise instead of the 9 day and it was cheaper!

Yeah, I'm ALL for cruising out of Seattle! I don't want to drive or fly into Vancouver if I don't have to!

I think Dawn did reply to your post earlier......I think she said they stayed in the "Jazz" section?

I think I got my FE gift problem fixed. I hope so anyway.
I have one mroe thing to do and then I will know if its ok for a gift.

But so far it looks like it's a GO!! YEAH!!!

I made pork fried rice for dinner tonight. So easy, all in one pan so very few dishes.

It made it to 88 today. UGH! I cant wait until we get 70 degree weather. This RV is like a furnace when it gets above 70.

Peter bought the Wolverine movie today so guess what we are watching tonight

Just trying to get the kids ready for school. The bus should be here in another 10 minutes.

The weather is starting to cool down around here. Yesterday's high was about 75 and today should be about the same.

Howdy gang,

well we are also cooler at night Greg but our days are way above normal. Going to be upper 7's to 80 until monday then into the 90's after that for a few days. The first day of fall is suppose to be 95? Thats at least 20 degrees hotter than normal.
We have broke records for how many days we were 90 and over this summer and over 100 for consective days too. those records I dont like breaking!!

No kids to get off to school here, but Greg keeps telling the little grandkids that Minnie (our dog) will be 5 next summer so she will start kindergarden next year. He says she can talk too. Then he asks Minnie silly things like, How does sandpaper feel? Ruff But he says she is having trouble counting, so she may have to be in special ed classes at first.

Not much happening here today. I will work on FE gifts, thats about all. That will fill up the entire day

So far I have lost 5.6lbs in the past two weeks, my next weigh in is Saturday.

Usually I don't gain any weight in WDW but man we are going to be eating a lot, we'll see what happens.
