Good morning everyone.

I'm off to another meeting....urrr I mean tend the "candy store" this morning and then I've got an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon at 11am for my shoulder and arm.

Well after 24 hours of labor Rachel headed for the hospital at 1:45 a.m. today.
I am now waiting for the phone to ring and tell me they are both doing good and that it was a girl.

I hate all the waiting but I'm sure Rachel would like to speed it up too.


Cool, nasty rainy day here today.
Both the pups are snuggled under their blankets and snoozing, actually they are both snoring at the moment

Maryann has finally decided to make her debut.
She weighs in at 8 lbs, 9 oz and is 50 cm long, blonde hair

Mom and baby are both doing well, just tired.

will try to get a few photos this weekend and will post them then.

Now I too can get some rest.

Well I have decided not to change my posting name because I would be back to post #1 again. I dont want to do that, so it will stay the same.

People will just be surprized when i say there are 5

Well after doing blood tests, x-rays, ultrasounds, EMG's and scores of other tests.....the doctor said I have rheumatoid arthritis and prescribed me some potent pain pills and arthritis medication.

I guess I'm glad surgery is now off the table, but not feeling like I'm ready to throw in the towel and accept the diagnosis either.

I suppose I'll take the medication he prescribed and see how I feel in a week.

Morning everyone,

Greg my BIL has the same problem accept its all throughout his body. He is disabled for many years now and meds are all that help. Just keep moving it and try your best to keep the muscles strong. It will hurt but it does seem to him in the long run for some people. Joints can sometimes be helped with a cortizone shot too.

We are a bit colder today, low of 40 this morning but thats nothing compared to what others are having this year. Watching the news people where trying to keep livestock from freezing to death as well as crops.

I would think they would be able to put some cows in the barn, they have feed barns if nothing else. Put some in a coral and put heaters or open fires around the corral to help. It would be alot of work but to save their livelyhood it would be worth it. The animals will naturally head for the heated area instinctly.
Once Peter and a friend were camping in Florida and it got below freezing that night. They had a bonfire and they had deer, armadillo and some birds all coming up close to the fire area to stay warm. They said it felt really weird.

We got pretty cold last night. I woke up this morning and it was -11 and its now after 10:30am and the temp is still -7.

The wind is coming out of the north and it is biting cold!! I went out to get the paper this morning and my face was stinging by the time I got back in the house.

The doctor did suggest giving me a cortisone shot, but he said it would probably only last for a few weeks.....since I hate needles I opted to for go the extra pain.

Greg - sorry to hear your diagnosis. That really stinks. Hope you can find some relief.

It's official, Lizzie and i are heading back to Orlando in 2 weeks!!! Daddy-daughter weekend at the Poly for 3 nights. Hopefully it will be a little warmer this time though I have looked at long range forecasts and it doesn't look likely. We'll have fun anyway.

Happy Thursday all. We're preparing for some snow here. Depending on who you listen to, it could be anywhere from one inch to seven. If it has to be seven, I hope it comes late night and the kids get a day off school. It's always fun to have a snowday.

I dont know that we will be doing that cruise, if so it would just be the 3 day but it is for sure we wont be doing this 7 day cruise.

So I feel its not right for me to keep posting here when I know we wont get to go.

Danielle and family I wish you a very Magical cruise
Not sure how many here are booked with you but more will come.

Hope to see some of you nanaheads dropping by to chat there. Hopefully some of you will get to cruise on the Dream on those dates. If not please drop by to say hello, there are several of your old friends posting there.
