Denise, had I known that my snow dance was effecting you I would of stepped it up a couple of notches! :lmao:

Unfortunately I'm not the one you need to plead with about the snow.....that would be the Voodoo Queen of Oregon. :rotfl2:

Greetings all.

Kathy - sorry to hear about Greg's back. Hope he has a quick recovery.

We did get some snow over the weekend - but we were on the edge of the big storm that hit the east coast so it wasn't as bad as DC or Philly. We probably got about 5 inches total. Looks like we'll have a white Christmas here.

Been busy getting ready for Christmas and thinking about our trip that comes just 2 days afterward. I think there was a little too little time between the cruise and this trip this year as we are feeling like we don't have enough time at home for everything. The fact that I had to be in NY and Boston over the past two weeks compressed time even more. I'm sure it will all come together and we'll have a great time. I just hope they turn up the heat a few degrees in Orlando.

Happy Tuesday to all.

Boy Jeff, you are a busy beaver lately:goodvibes
You may hit some rain and cooler weather this time in Orlando. That storm dumped a lot of rain. Our friend had to empty water out of our pool a couple of times from that storm. But I know you'll all have a great time anyway.

Well Greg was up pacing the floor all night again, so today I will drive him to the office so he can sign a few contracts and fax a few papers then brign him back to rest up.
We had snow last night but it didnt get to our elevation but 200 feet higher in the hills around us got snow. Since I am driving today I am happy we didnt get snow this time.

Suppose to be dry after tonght and cold, in the 20's again.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Kathy

Good afternoon everyone!

We've had a lot of excitement around here. There was a murder in the Walmart parking lot in town involving teachers from the elementary school?!

Apparently two teachers were involved (a husband and wife) that both teach at the school. The wife was having an affair with another man and broke the news to her husband over dinner last night at a restaurant. I guess they drove in separate cars to the restaurant and the wife left and the husband followed her in his car. The wife felt threatened so she called the guy she was having the affair with to come and protect her. He showed up in the Walmart parking lot and the husband got out and emptied a 357 magnum into him before he could even get out of his truck!

He must of been really ticked off because he got in his car drove around the block, came back to the parking lot and emptied another couple of rounds into the guy (who was already dead) again!! Then he jumped back in his car drove over to the elementary school with the police in pursuit and got out and shot himself!

I tell ya....not to much happens around this part of Idaho, but when it does it's never small!

Geez Greg that is pretty scary. And so incredibly sad.

I decided today to try to find a reservation for the dinner package and candlelight processional at Epcot since we have never done that before. I called and was shocked to hear we had several choices on our first choice of days. So we are having a late lunch at San Angel Inn, then the CP at 5 and special viewing for Illuminations too. Pretty excited to see the CP for the first time.

Greg, thats terrible. People just dont make sense sometimes. I hope the couple didnt have any kids. How terrible it would be for them to grow up knowing their dad killed someone and then himself.
A few years back my oldest DD's husbands brother found out his wife was having an affair. They had 2 young kids. So he decided to kill himself in front of her at work to teach her a lesson.:confused3 So he did. He was almost 30.
My SIL had a really hard time dealing with what his brother had done.

Hi Denise,
have fun getting ready for the holidays.:goodvibes Nice you have the extra time off to do that.

Jeff, We just read an artiicle that WDW isnt booked up for Christmas like usual. They have lots of room in every resort, tons of restaurant and show reservations open too. People are either trying to save a bit this year or too many are out of work and just cant afford to go there this year.

When we went in November we paid for 2 nights and got 3 free nights, plus the counter service dining plan for free for 6 days. So it was really an inexpensive vacation for us.
Maybe you'll get another magical moment this year:cool1:

Kathy

Well it was a busy day being a chauffer for Greg. He tried to drive but it was still too painful,he could barely sit and just ride today. He did get the stuff done he needed to do while standing up, the chair was too uncomfortable for him. Then I drove him to Eugene to give out paychecks, then back home again. Now he can relax the rest of the week and hopefully feel up to going to Salem for Christmas.

We saw lots of snow on the hills we drove by. They looked really pretty.
Well I am all set for Christmas accept some last minute baking thursday , but the cookies are all mixed up so its a quick bake and frost for me.:thumbsup2

I may make some truffles tomorrow. See how energetic I feel.

Kathy

Yea Kathy 2 tops in a row.......we need to keep Greg at bay!!!!

Hope Greg's back is better soon.....

Well I better get busy and start cleaning around here.

Have a good one all

I was thinking that WDW must not be very busy this Christmas either? We did another timeshare exchange a couple of months ago. We were able to pick up a 2 bedroom at Bay Lake Towers during Christmas, that we rented to a family from New York. :woohoo:

I wish it would of been slow when we were there last year.

Greg sorry to hear your snow didnt stick around. I am pulling for you.

Wea re going back to the 20's at night but dry , so no more snow how ever we are suppose to have heavy fog down our way and it will freeze to the ground in the early morning.

I just baked off some cream wafer cookies and they are cooling on the counter. Pixie is stiing on the couch facing the kitchen with her long nose up in the air sniffing like crazy. It really looks funny. As soon as they finish cooling I will frost them.

Time for a late dinner,

later all,

Kathy

Hey Jeff,

The candlelight processional sounds familiar, but I can't remember if that's something we watched last year or not? What is it?

I haven't given up yet. I think there is still a chance we could get some snow tonight.

If it doesn't snow tonight I don't think we'll be getting any for Christmas because starting tomorrow night its suppose to start getting really cold again...like -10 degrees!

Maybe I'll have to borrow the snow making machine from the ski resort down the road for a day or two?

it's choirs and readers telling the Christmas story at Epcot at the big outdoor amphitheater. We have never done it before but have heard it's beautiful

Ok Greg, I really need to say something here...

You keep hoping/wishing for snow for Christmas....and yes a "white Christmas" is really nice., however, my thought is this. We are hoping/wishing so hard for a white Christmas, that that crazy white stuff decides to come and then stay.......for months....I mean you cant get rid of it till april. Like what is up with that????? So if we "all" quit wishing for the darn stuff....maybe we can all have a decent almost snow free winter!!!:thumbsup2

Well, ok that's my Christmas wish anyway!!!!:confused3:rotfl::rotfl:

Well have to get busy......got baking to do.....

have a good one, stay warm
