11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

Morning all,

Well you can make fun of my voodoo dance but it worked didn't it? So look out I am working on a dance now to drop 6 foot of snow over your house in one night:lmao:

Yes I think the turkey was strange. Never had a tough one before. It was nice and juicy, looked and smelled great but too tough to eat. I don't think I iwll ever figure that one our. Thank goodness for Randys smoked turkey.

I must call and thank him today.

Still cold her but it looks like the civil war game will be around 50, then drop to the 30's later in the night, so it will be a cold one for the players. I think they would rather play in cold than heat. They get warmed up playing so that should help.

I am doing the 2nd load of wash already this morning, then today is house cleaning day so it will be busy here. I need to go and gas up the truck too.

Catch everyone later,

Kathy

Hey, I think you've mixed up your dance?.....the sun is out now and the temperature is starting to rise!

Sounds like we're in a tie for laundry? I'm on the second load now also. :lmao:

Holly and I are going into town to see if we can find her a new bed....she's destroyed her other one by jumping on it! :sad2:

hopefully she was smiling as she was jumping:lmao:

gotta run
later
denise:banana::banana:

yes, my dad was discharged and was able to join us for dinner. thanks for asking

ps we were in Key West one year ago today!!!!!at this very time:sad2:
we all need another cruise and very soon!!!

Greg, my dance has a delayed reaction due to the bad weather here it will take a few days to reach you. So enjoy the sun while you can, it wont last for long;) Do they make solid steel beds? She cant break that one.:lmao:

I am done with the laundry accept the dogs blankets have to hang up over the doors to dry. They take about an hour to dry.

After lunch I will vacuum. Unless I get too lazy.:lmao:

I do need to vacuum before my brother shows up tomorrow.
I also went out just long enough to fill the gas tank on the truck.
Its up to 38 now, a regular heat wave:goodvibes

Denise, thats great your dad could join you for dinner. I was hoping he could.

I would love another cruise right now, but I don't think the budget will allow it considering we just got back from a cruise plus a week at WDW. But mentally I am right there with you.

Now I am saving up excursion and souvenir money for our 2010 cruise. Since its new ports I will want some kind of souvenir, so will Greg. Although he always seems to get billed caps and he does wear them.

Later all,
Kathy

Well the bed she had was steel...one of those white metal princess beds. She broke a lot of the welded joints where the swirls come together. The bed was ready to collapse!

I was going to try and re-weld it, but I don't have the equipment to powder coat the frame again and I don't think painting it will look very good? :confused3

The UPS man just showed up with our new computer. :woohoo:

I guess I'd better take it out of the box and test it to make sure it works before I wrap it and put it under the tree? :rolleyes1

Later......

How about a hammock to sleep in. That way you could put it up until bedtime. Pretty hard to break that way:lmao: Justy spin her about in it a few times and she will be all snug and not be able to fall out.:lmao:

Our high today was 41 and now it's going down again.:sad2:

Peter and I were just talking about the game . He said he is going to get out of class early that evening so he can be home in time to watch it.
His class ends at 6 and thats when the game begins. I'll bet the entire class will want to leave early. If the professor is smart he will just release them all 30 minutes early:thumbsup2

Kathy

I didn't find a bed frame today, so I just put her mattress on the floor. I'll continue the search tomorrow.

I like the hammock idea, but I'm not sure Holly would like it?

It looks like we'll be watching the civil war from our living room. To much going on to try and get over to Eugene this Thursday.

I was checking out prices for Rose Bowl tickets....they start out at $155.00!

Good night. :faint:

Morning all,

well I am going to clean my place after breakfast before my brother shows up although he is a bachelor and his palce shows it so I am not too worried about mine being messed up:worship:

I was going to do more yesterday but the dogs are shedding and I would just have to do it all over again today, so i waited. my mess is mostly dog hair:lmao: I keep telling Greg if we leave all the hair on the floor long enough it will insulate us from the cold.

Got to go,
back this afternoon, Goodluck finding a bed Greg.

The price of those tickets will continue to go up!! Plus we have one more game before we know for sure if the Ducks or Beavers go??
Think possitive ! Think Possitive!!:lmao: QUACK QUACK is our victory call!!

Kathy

QUACK, QUACK....we'll be wearing our green & yellow!! :woohoo::woohoo:

The Duck's will win!! :cool1::cool1:

I hope you have a nice visit with your brother this afternoon. I'm headed back into town to look for beds again.

Later.

Hi all,

had a good 3 hour visit with my brother, then he headed to the coast with his quad to spend the night and ride the dunes some tomorrow.

Now I will be getting ready to start dinner.

Biscuits and sausage gravy for dinner. Onlyhave it a couple timesd a year due to the fat content but its nice to splurge now and then and Greg and Peter love it. I think Peter is coming tonight to have dinner and spend the night,

Good luck with the bed.

Kathy

Evening all:

Not much is going on here. Just that they are predicting the weather getting much colder.:scared: I think I'm going to send it NorthWest.....hmmmmm Idaho sounds good.!!!!

Well nothing much to say......

Have a good one

Denise:banana::banana::banana:

Well I should be sitting pretty....your sending your cold weather my way and Kathy is voodoo dancing up a storm from Oregon.

Once those two storm cells get close to each other it should create a nice ridge of high pressure over Idaho, so I should be expecting nice clear, sunny skies for a while. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good morning!

Yep, that high pressure is holding back the storms.....its a beautiful sunny day here today!

Just about all of our snow is melted....the only place it remains is in the shaded areas that don't get a lot of sun during the day. :thumbsup2

I still haven't been able to find a bed for Holly. Most of the beds we've looked at are like the one she had and it didn't last long. I may have to order one from a catalog or build one myself.

Brayden's class is having a family breakfast over at the school this morning, so I'd better get over there.

Be back later.

Hi Denise,
hope your doing good and not freezing like me:goodvibes
Hows that grandaughter doing?? I bet she is growing like crazy.

Hi Greg,

Greg bulit our kids bunk beds one time. No way could the kids damage those beds. They were heavy sturdy beds. He made them to come apart easily so when the time came each kid could have their own bed when they moved out if needed. Of course we had to make sure the youngest stayed on the bottom bunk until they got older which was a problem now and then but it really worked great over al. When they finally got their own rooms we separated the beds.

Well our lows are in the 20's for the next few days:eek:
They say the game should be 35 at the coldest but lately they have been way off on their predictions. It was suppose to be 37 last night and most places were 29 this morning. So they will have to hustle to keep warm.

I am hoping Peter will stay for a couple of hours this morning so i can sneak out to get a few snacks for the game tomorrow. If i take the dogs I have to take things out of the back seat that Greg keeps forgetting to take to the storage unit after our cruise. I don't want to do that and then put them back again. So I am hoping he will dog sit for about an hour and a half.

Greg dont get too use to all that sunshine, it can change in the blink of an eye ya know.;) You may be jinxing yourself.:lmao:

Hope you have a good breakfast with Brayden.

I once did a Thanksgiving feast with 2 of my grandkids. Their skit was cute but sitting on the hard gym floor for 2 hours then being served kool aid, popcorn, grapes, apple slices and raisins for our dinner was interesting.:lmao:
I really loved it all. The kids made it all and were so proud to serve us.

But my daughter had to help me up from the floor when it was time to leave:rotfl2: I wasnt the only one!!

Kathy

well I am back from the store and Peter is gone until the game tomorrow night.
I have chip n dip, pizza rolls and I am going to experiment with a warm snack.
Never made it before but it sounds good.

Going to roll out crescent rolls pinching them together into one sheet of dough.
spread with warmed refried beans (light coat) sprinkle on taco meat, Taco seasoned cheese, and roll up. Slice like pinwheels and bake.
after baking spread some salsa on the top and diced tomatoes and lshredded lettuce and chunched up taco chips. It wont take much to cover the top of the pinwheel. It sounds good to me. Dont have sour cream or guacamole or that would be good too.

Its still 38 outside. It has stayed the same for the last 3 hours.:confused3

Back when i can,

Kathy

Hey Denise,
I just realized you got the top of the page!!

WAY TO GO!!

Greg was bragging about getting it 2X's in a row so great job dethrowning him;)

Kathy

Yes, I noticed that just now that I did get the top of the page, I guess I unseated the king.....that'd be Greg!!! Or at least he thinks he's the king....:rotfl:

Off work early today, I have to work satuarday:scared: I really am getting to hate working these saturdays.....well lets just say, I'm getting to hate working at all....!!
Not much going on here....
Yes, Isabella is getting big, she just turned 7 months already.....I cant belive she is that "old"....

Wally was here saturday when I had her on....so he bought one also, so he can see her.....Heather is hoping to come home in january, however, there is still a change she will be deployed in January....just keeping my fingers crossed.
Anyway, I will see if I can try and post a few pictures of her.

Stay warm....

Denise:banana::banana:

Nice pictures Denise!

That last one is really cute.

Well, I just got back from town and I found a bed, but it only comes in Queen size.

I'm thinking I'll do some bed rearranging. Maybe I'll get the new Queen size bed for Nicole and move Nicole's bed into Holly's room.

We're trying to get ready for the big game tomorrow night also.

That snack with taco meat sounds yummy! Janel always makes chips n dip with cream cheese, cocktail sauce and crab meat? Not exactly sure what all is in it, but its really good. :thumbsup2
