11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

Just noticed if you get Travel network at 8 west coast time they are playing the Disney cruise line show and several WDW and cruising shows throughout the day today.
I will porbably still be watching a football game but thought i would post it in case someone wants to watch them.

That's because the ship is too big for most ports. It will not tender (too many people) so they can only go to ports that were willing to make room.

I'm not really going for the ports, I'm going to see the ship. Most people say it's a resort at sea, doesn't feel like a cruise at all. Some people have complained that it doesn't focus enough on the ocean (can't really see it from most areas). If you go on a cruise because you love the ocean, this is not the ship for you.

Yeah I agree, the Oasis is definitely a cruise for people who are more interested in the ship then the ports of call.

Sooner or later it will make a trek down south and hopefully I'll be on it. :thumbsup2

Disney is doing a southern Caribbean cruise next year, but at around $4000pp for an inside cabin......we won't be going.

Well if Denise isn't just the sneaky one lately with the top pages?! :rolleyes1

Joanna, we're booked on the Dream in October about Halloween time, but I'm not really sure we'll be able to keep it. We're doing a Mediterranean cruise in December with Bob & Lisa and depending on how expensive airfare is we may have to cancel it.

I really want to cruise on Oasis too, but I'm a patient man....I'll wait until all the people who are willing to pay the higher prices get their fill and then I'll book it once the price comes down.

I don't think it will take to awfully long. Once the Allure of the Seas sets sail in 2010 its going to be very difficult to fill both ships with 5,000+ cruisers each week with out slashing prices.

When in 2010 is the Allure suppose to sail? I hope you are right, those 2 big ships will be hard to fill at premium prices

:cool1::cool1:I booked both
Oasis of the Seas Nov 13th, 2010
Back 2 Back Dream Oct 31st, 2011

I didn't find Oasis to be any more expensive than Disney (except the room is much smaller). I guess I'm just used to paying too much $$$$ for cruises.

I would love to sail the Oasis with you, but DD is still in school. She's a freshman so 3 and a half more years of following a school schedule.

The Allure doesn't set sail until December 2010. After August 2010 the prices for Oasis start going downward until around Thanksgiving & Christmas.

You will be cruising on the Oasis on my birthday. We are sailing out on the 20th on the Carnival Dream. DCL was too expensive because it is Thanksgiving week.

I want to cruise the Oasis some day:)

Hi Joanna:goodvibes-We are in the same boat you are. Jordyn is going to be a freshmen next year, so we have to cruise during her breaks. Next year we will only pull her out of shcool 2 days to sail during Thanksgiving week. It is just too hard to go that week after Thanksgiving.

Hi everyone-I am finally able to post again. For some reason I could not log on. I hope everyone is doing ok. I just wanted to say hi. It has been busy around our house. Tomorrow I have a Christmas party for work. Lots going on this weekend. Talk to you all later.:)

Lorna, nice to see its letting you post again.

Greg, AWESOME game up to half time.:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Just cooked my taco pinwheels, all went well, now back to the game.popcorn::

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek: It is the first heavy snow I have seen this season. It is not suppose to last though.

Good night.

Hi Lorna...Great to see you on again. Yep, Samantha started high school this year and our school district is such a pain with absences. They won't give you work and the newest thing is... 20% of your grade is participation and if you are absent you lose points each day you are out.

But it is what it is and I am tired of talking and toying about it. My older daughter never missed a day of high school for vacations and she got a full academic scholarship, so it pays for itself :)

Hi Lorna! :wave2:

Good to hear from you! :thumbsup2

Kathy, this game is another nail bitter like the Arizona game was! :scared:

I've been chowing down on all the chips n dip, veggie & meat tray and cookies...not because I'm hungry, but because I need something to do with my hands! :rotfl2:

Back to the game!......................

Greg,
I just sent Shell an e-mail and told her to check the boards and the war is on. I didnt say what war.
I figure that way she will check it out here.

We could get a good battle of the Ducks and Buckeyes before the game.;)

I really need to do the dishes and get into bed,

back tomorrow,
Kathy
