Morning all,

another cloudy morning but the sun will peak out soon. Suppose to get very HOT over the weekend.
No plans for the weekend here. Just grocery shopping.

Anybody else have plans??

Morning all, another busy day at work. I thought these 4/10s would be easy but we are all just so exhausted.

My 15 year old nephew is here for the summer so I am taking to the Golden Nugget this weekend. They have the best pool in Vegas. It's his birthday present. I hope he has a good time.

Howdy all,
Happy friday to everyone

Dawn, No special plans here. Tomorrow Greg is spending 3 to 4 hours filling out an application for a good job in Eugene which is about a 45 minute drive from here. Its a very intense application and to make his resume to be like the requirements they have. He does meet all the requirements so we are hopeful of getting an interview. Of course thousands are out of work in his field so not getting our hopes up too much but it pays a lot better and has benefits which we dont have now.

I am going to do a little grocery shopping , but mostly looking for some clothing for my mom.
Of all the things she needs is a light weight sweater
It sounds crazy and it will be extremely hard to find this time of the year, which she cant understand. She wants it to wear in her room and the hallways that feel cool to her in the mornings.

So I will try some stores where older ladies tend to shop a lot, like Pennys or Sears. Maybe I can find a speciality store for women? it will be a challenge. Plus a couple pairs of slacks . Those wont be quite as hard to find. Although she like specific types. They must have pockets and she prefers a solid band in front and elastic in the back. I cant remember the brand or it would be easier and the tags are gone from her old ones.

Thats my weekend.

County fairs will be starting later this month and I hope to go to a couple of them this year or the state fair. 2 of my grandkids will have decorated cakes submitted there this year and I would love to see them. I hope they win a ribbon.

Afternoon:

My plans for the weekend!!!! Going to a "golf outing" not playing just watching other people golf not looking to forward to it....hoping it will rain.......then sunday to my dads and the rest of the "inbetween time" going to be doing a lot of house cleaning.

Nothing to exciting....just wishing that this weather would be dry, sunny and warm....it is summer isnt it???

I went to the doctor today and he said the reason my hands hurt so much is because I've developed arthritis?

Anyone know of a good arthritis remedy?

If your arthritis isn't too bad, there is a cream that might work for you. I'm guessing at the spelling Capizin--I'll look on the web after this and see if I'm close. Otherwise, drink that toddy.

HOLY CRAP!....that last shot of whiskey I took to clear my chest about killed me! I felt like I needed to avoid open flames for about an hour!

I do, i know a cure. Glad you asked.

First take some warm opossum grease and rub it in well. Then add a bit of cayenne pepper. After that stand outside in the moon light at midnight and hold a rubber chicken over your head with your bad hand and chant, Cluck, cluck, cluck I'm a dumb duck three times.

Bring your hand down to your side and spit into the wind 2 times. Turn around a circle with the rubber chicken on your head 4 times then go inside and take Advil every 8 hours and rub Ben Gay into the arthritic hand 3 times a day for 6 months.

You'll feel a lot better . And if that doesnt work go back to a good slug of whiskey as needed all day long.

Guaranteed to make you feel so much better or at least you wont care if the hand still hurts

Good Morning!

Waking up to 64 degrees and sunny in Michigan this morning. These "cooler" summer days have been marvelous! High 70s to low 80s is perfect.

Hi Dawn,

Its much cooler here today. We had to turn on the little heater this morning.
Not sure how warm it will get but I know there is a chance of rain today.

It sure is quie with so many away for their mini meet this weekend.
They better have some good photos when they return .

Well I went to the golf outing yesterday....it was ok...I had a decent time, better than I thought I would....however, I believe with the hills and inclines and all the walking we did....my knees and ankles are killing me today...I kinda feel like greg.....I guess I'm gonna have to try that remedy!!!

Afternoon everyone,

We have had a nasty thunderstorm most of the day today. Lots of thunder and lightning. Its finally getting lighter out and the black clouds have moved on. They are headed for Idaho.

I defrosted the frig today. I didnt do the little freezer, I will do that next week one day. I need to buy some cocktail ice to pack the frozen foods in and put in the sink when I do that. I didnt want to go out in the rain to get the ice today.
