Hello all!!

I have had a FANTASTIC day!!

My almost 12yr son, David, has been in Colorado for the past 18 days!! But came home today I picked him up around 3pm and took him directly to hockey practice ... but now we are home

I have never before had any of the kids gone longer than a scouts campout weekend and once for a week on Catalina (with a group of leaders I know).

He was in Colorado with my family ... hunting, fishing and hiking ... he had a blast but I REALLY MISSED HIM!!

The whole flying unattended minor thing was a little tough for me, but he got to sit in 1st Class both ways and he really had a great time. It helps that we travel (kind of) alot and he is comfortable in airports ... but still ... with no adults ... UGH

I have more than 10 pages to catch up on ... GEESH guys!!

I'll post when I have read some more and find out what everyone's been up to.

having the pros take one and we who are not so much take one would be a great thing to do.

Regarding group shots ...

I have been with several DIS meets groups that had a DCL photographer take a group shot. That way everyone can purchase whatever amount/size they want. You just need to arrange it in advance (1pm on a Sea Day, etc.). It is especially important to arrange the time if you want to use the stairs in front of Lumiere's.

Is everyone wearing their Nannahead shirts to the Port?

We have another matching set that we are planning to wear for the family photo and then change into our yellow shirts onboard.

Wondering who to be on the lookout for when we board!!

Dave and I will wear yellow to the port ... put on matching tropical shirts over the yellow for welcome aboard photo ... and back to yellow once onboard.

The kids are wearing "their own stuff" this time.

What excursions does everyone have planned for St. Maarten??

We are thinking of driving St. Maarten's ourselves ...

visiting Orient Bay/Beach for the view

visiting Pic Paradise

visiting Cactus fields in the North end

visiting Grand Case for a meal/snack and Atlantis semi-submarine

visiting Marigot for shopping/snack

driving around the Dutch side just for fun

... did we miss anything?

Hi Karen

We aren't doing any scheduled excursions. We'll probably putz around St. Maarten and go to a casino or two and then take DD to a beach.

We will probably go to Magens Bay Beach on St. Thomas. We went to Sapphire last year -- gorgeous views, but the restaurant/bar was closed and the facilities were a bit run-down because of the construction.

The rest of the week will be filled with R & R!!

Tonight I was showing Alex the pictures of everybody from the cruise and he informed me that your DH is a fireman.

Didn't know if you knew or not....

I said his name is Joe and he said "yes, he's fireman Joe."
