Good Afternoon Everyone...just got back from dance class with the girls and now we have a Birthday Party on a farm...it is freezing here today...so an outdoor Birthday party is going to be so much fun...

Thanks kim for asking lots of great questions yesterday...really helped with my planning.

Have a great day...

I'm not going to mention my best feature on these boards but trust me you guys will see plenty of them on the ship:rolleyes1 Yes they're real and spectacular:lmao:

Do you guys have vacation riturals? We have a few:

Every vacation we take we always go to CVS the Saturday before we leave and buy all of our toileties.

DH always called the airlines the day before we fly to confirm our flights and seats.

I always call the hotel to confirm.

If we take a red eye we always get pizza before going to the airport.

What's your must do's?

I went over to RObins so we could post together and her computer is down... I missed all the 10,000 excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for this exercise B#LL, here is my shipboard exercise routine.
1. Power walk to breakfast at Topsiders... rest those muscles.
2. Stretch and walk to the Rainforest.... heat on those sore leg muscles
3. Work on upper arms by lifting a margarita every few minutes...
4. Stretch out the back while on the poolside lounge chair.
5. Work out all those tired overworked muscles in the adult hot tub.
so there... that's my plans for exercise.... Anyone want to join in????:rotfl:

Me, me!!

So how do the tips work on DCL? On other cruiselines, they usually charge us automatically at the end of our trip ($10/pp per day) and take care of making sure everyone gets the tips...does DCL do it differently? Do we need to personally hand out our tips? Are there envelopes provided for this purpose or should we plan ahead? Do we need to bring cash for the tips or can we charge them to our shipboard account?

BTW, I always tear up when the Disneyworld commercial comes on TV, and always when boarding & disembarking any cruise ship...happy to board, sad to leave. I've never been to WDW, so I'm sure I'll get all teary when I get that first glimpse. AND all the photos of the ship everyone's been posting have been making me tear up too...what a crybaby I am!

OMG, Lily just ran into the kitchen and slipped and fell on the tile floor...narrowly missing hitting her head on the floor...then she jumped up and kept talking, not missing a beat. Meanwhile, scared the heck out of me. Whew.

Tips are not charged automatically to your account. You'll get envelopes for the head server, your server, your assistant server and your room steward.

While you can simply charge your tips to your account if you want, we normally bring extra cash along specifically for the tips and personally hand them to our attendents and thank them for taking such good care of us.

Our server from our first DCL in 2005 said it didn't matter if you give them cash or charge it, but "it's a nice touch" to receive the envelopes/tips in person, according to him.

You stole my thunder ... :lmao:

What's your must do's?

1. Check the weather every hour of every day for at least a week ahead of time and make sure there are no snow storms brewing that will inhibit travel to the airport.

2. Dream that a huge blizzard hits and we can't get to the airport

3. Wake up in a cold sweat and look outside for snow flakes

4. Leave the house 3 hours early for the 20 minute drive to the airport in the event that it starts snowing on the way there.

I think that about sums it up :rolleyes1

Our must-do's:

1. We print out our boarding passes 24 hours ahead of time.
2. Put together "snack bags" for the flight.
3. Get Starbucks while hanging out in the airport.
4. Have the best intentions of going to bed early but are too excited to sleep and/or have last minute load of laundry/cleaning to do.
5. Panic that we will oversleep and miss our flight.
6. Get up in plenty of time yet always seem to leave late for the airport, causing us to bicker and be stressed out on the 25 minute drive yet somehow end up happy and relaxed while going through security (go figure).
7. Because we are always running late, end up eating McDonald's or buying some goody for the flight at airport to make up for the meal we didn't have time to eat at home.
8. We always forget something and then remember what we forgot as the plane is taking off from the runway.
9. Always bring portable DVD player for in-flight entertainment for Lily and/or iPod with episodes of "The Office" and "Curb your Enthusiasm" for the adults.
10. We always overpack and curse ourselves when trying to drag our overabundance of luggage through the airport after landing.
11. Check & re-check that passports are together and ready for travel (I have nightmares that they will dissappear and we'll be stuck somewhere).

That's the short list. :rotfl:

Okay, so my objectives today is to go to radioshack and find some accessories for my computer. I'll have to wait until my father gets home so I can know what I'm getting... :thumbsup2

Hey, I don't mean to wail on other threads, but the group that's leaving the week before us haven't even 2000 posts yet! (Will I be in trouble for saying this???)

What is the deal with cell phones on board? I read somewhere that the Disney ships now had it arranged for some cell phone usage on board through certian carriers. Do you guys know how it works. We have AT&T (use to be Cingular). I went to make sure we had the international roaming activated and the person said we should not use them on board. She said that it goes through the tower on board and it would be $10.00 per min. I was going to activate them so if any of our family needed to get in touch with us they could just call our cell. What are you guys doing?
