Cheri- About the Huskers is all I can say. This weekend is the Iowa-Iowa State football game so I will be displaying my black & gold tomorrow.

So the state of Iowa will be closed down, huh?? It would be a good day to drive across I-80.

I'm just hoping the Huskers don't get blown out. . .

I had a 5-mile race this morning -- Girl Scouts' "Thin Mint Sprint." Anyone who calls 5 miles a sprint is just sick! I was able to win a whole box of Thin Mint cookies for my efforts!

There was FROST on the ground this morning when I left. But I don't know if we set the record low they were forecasting.

Jess & her aunts went to the local apple orchard. I refuse to go there on weekends because it's way too busy! I can't believe how many people drive out from Chicago just to buy apples & cider donuts. (Of course, they're awesome, but I'm all about convenience!)

Congrats Melanie on your winnings. You and your DH are the complete opposite of Mutt & me. He can take a $20 in the casino and make it last an hour. I'm lucky to get it to last 3 minutes. I think my longest run ever was about 4 minutes 13 seconds.

reporting in on a cold morning in Toronto... been sooooo super busy and trying not to get ahead of myself with my planning. Starting to have spreadsheets - is that NUTS? is anyone having spreadsheets? Wanna share..? hmmph.

Lara's second week of school went well... now if only I can say the same about my housework..boo.

First, spreadsheets are a necessity of life ... you know ... food, shelter, spreadsheets. Never disparage your need to organize

You need to stay away from the one armed bandits. I like roulette. DH plays blackjack. But I was really lucky last night. I sat down and bet Jacksons birthday and it immediately hit and then I just kept betting the boys and my birthdays and I kept right on winning. Birthday luck I think!

Anyway...70 days sounds great to me!!! I think it's gonna come a lot faster than I think it will.

Just sitting around watching HOUSE reruns and I watched our beacutiful ship sail out.... not long until it is US!
Kayla has been battling strep this weekend, lots of antibiotics and rest- Rach auditioned for a Children's Theatre show today.. I did laundry!

Shell - So sorry we missed your call. I left my phone in the room oops. We had a great time today. The game was actually a really really fantastic battle and it was great to be in the stadium. Unfortunately the good guys didn't win...but we had fun anyway. Dinner with Jan & Dave, John & Lorna and their girls was way fun. There was SO much talking going on that I could barely keep up. Jan and Dave are fantastic "hosts." Dave didn't even leave me alone in the stadium after the game to find my way back on my own! Perhaps that is because his team won!

Josh - if you need any advice about your visit to Pitt, let me know.

Good morning, all! Poor Ken is working maniacal hours for the shutdown, so when his alarm went off at 4:15, I busted out, too. So, I'm in hyper-drive having done four loads of laundry and million little chores. If I don't head to Wal Mart soon, I'll be asleep again.

Sounds like the worm got you, Bill. The only time I've really drunk tequila was on my 30th birthday...and on a few other celebratory lapses. I prefer my Crown Royal. After all, aren't we gals Disney princesses? I'll be fifty next summer, so I'll be thinking of fun ways to get closer to the AARP discount. In the meantime, I'll be on the "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy" tour.

I'm off to the World...Wally World that is. Can't wait to see the mouse in 66 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning all. I have some news, but I'll let my mom tell you about at her discretion. Had to work las night, and almost passed out because I was so sick. I made it through though. I got a little excited when I imagined myself sitting in the hottubs on deck 9 watching movies on the big TV. That got me through the night...

I'm working today. Had to do it today since DH shot a wedding yesterday. Sometimes I have to work weekends when I'm on deadline. So I will be working the next 2 weekends. Gotta pay for our cruise, maybe even come up for the next downpayment

DH is possibly going to be opening a 2nd temporary studio in the Oct-Dec at the mall (Oakview, Cheri) so we have a lot on our minds right now making that decision. We are going to go check it out later this afternoon if I can get my act together and get some work done here!!

Question- Kathy, what do they call the family portraits that they do on disney with the white backgrounds?(this is called "high key" by photographers) I know they have a special name for them on the ship don't they?

they do have a specific name for those portraits but i cant think of the name right now.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. I had so many things to do, and so many places to be I decided to none of it Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?

Gorgeous weather here today. Opened the house. Made a cake and followed the directions on the box instead of in the recipe and now I'm P***ed!!! Is it too early for a drink?

DS is in a golf tournament today with his dad. Hope he does well..........

Ok....last load of laundry is in.... tomatos have cooked down and are well on their way to being sauce (see ya next year, garden....R.I.P.). Time to get after that run I've been putting off.....

Welcome to Michigan! I had to turn the HEAT ON this morning! Kathy, truly I would give anything to have your heat!

After Soccer yesterday, we went to Michigan City, IN shopping for cold weather items. Still have to find a winter coat for Christian.

I would think that Oct to Dec would be a great time for a picture studio. Promote those Christmas cards! Good Luck if you decide to go for it!
