Oh that would be so nice. Too bad you were being so nice Suzy Mouse. This could have been all set up.:rotfl2:
Yay for the 5 month mark.

I would've taken any suite if one were to become available. :rotfl2: Can't someone in a suite have second thoughts for crying out loud?

Yes...I decided to put aside the usual "It's all about ME" attitude and suffer as I allowed another family an incredible opportunity to live it up in life of luxury in the Walt Disney Suite.

So who is the family that owes their thanks to ME!!!:rotfl:

That would be the same family who is not going to make eye contact with any of us (just keep swimming, :fish: just keep swimming)so that they don't have a ton of kids and folks hanging out in their suite.

If I had the suite I would welcome y'all with open arms. However my category 12 inside stateroom won't hold many of us. Sorry.

Does dreaming I'm in the Walt Suite count? I can have a grand DIS party in my imagination. My only recommendation is somewhere indoors. The DIS meet on my first cruise was cancelled because of rain. We had no back up.

Now, wait a minute. I'm sure you can fit more people than you think in the Cat 12. The Cat 11 I was in was pretty darn roomy if you ask me. It was the larger than the balcony room my MIL had on the Princess ship we were on -at least it felt that way. :thumbsup2 No worries, we can use the hallways for overflow. Right? ;)

All kidding aside - The promenade lounge is large enough to hold a decent size crowd. I don't know about noise there. I guess it depends on when you plan to hold the meet. It's probably better than poolside. What about one of the other lounges like Diversions? Again, that'd depend on when you wanted to meet, but they could be options.

I e-mailed DCL about holding a meet in Studio Sea, here is the e-mail I got back:

I have your request for meeting space for your cruise on Nov 22. I am
sure we can find a place for your group of 120 to meet from 2:30 to 3:30
on embarkation day. I just will not be able to confirm which venue
until closer to the sail date. Were you needing anything special or
just the room? I will keep this request on file and get back to you at
a later date. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have until
then.

Take care,

Dorothy

I will keep you posted on what I hear. Do we need anything besides the room?

The promenade lounge sounds good. My cat 9 is probably out of the question:rotfl2: .

120 people?!? Forget the cat 12!!

I don't know how many will show up for the meet, maybe that is expecting too much. There are at least 14 families that have been active on this thread in the last couple months and that doesn't include everyone that they are traveling with.

Last year at our DIS Meet, I organized a grab bag. Everybody that came to the meet brought an item to put in the bag and when they left they got to pick something from the bag. Just a small item, no more than $5. Would anybody be interested in participating this year? I'll be in charge of the grab bag if everybody wants to participate.:cool1:

Good morning! I was just wondering if any of you that are booked directly with DCL have ever received notice about the itinerary change for our cruise. I haven't and it's not a big deal, but if I hadn't been on the DIS, I still wouldn't know. I wonder when they are going to officially let everyone know?:confused3 All I can say is "Thank Goodness for the DIS!":worship:

No, but when you log in you see the change. Just no notification by DCL.

I treated myself this morning!! I've taken up running with some friends in the neighborhood. We get up and out at 6:10 in the morning and run/walk for 3 miles.

This morning I remembered a little stash of the Disney Cruise spa shampoos, conditioners and body soaps I had taken from the last trip. So I treated myself to a little reminder of the Disney cruise!! It smelled so good!!

Now this brings a question up... ethics aside and no bashing here....Do you bring anything home to remind you of your Disney cruise? Our Cabin Steward (no I didn't take him home) made us a washcloth duck and we took that home with us.

Another question....what makes it feel like you're home on the ship?
When we're sitting outside at the Topsiders' Buffet I know I'm home!

Anyone else??popcorn::

I believe the only things I take (rather than buy) are things that DCL expects me to use or take.... shampoo, soap, stationary, the cabin steward... oh wait, I had to leave him too.

I don't mean to derail Suzy Mouse's question, but does anyone know when Southwest opens their system to start booking the next block. Their website says that they will start booking througjh 9 Jan on 26 Jun, but we were up at midnight, 0500, 0630, and 0730 but it still only shows bookings through 31 Oct. I'm still hoping for reasonable prices so we can fly.

What a great idea! I run every day, and I had never thought about using the stuff from our last cruise. In fact, it's never been used. I think I'll have to break it out....:rolleyes1 Lately it's been so hot that I'm not sure even the toiletries from DCL can get the stink off of me after I've run!:rotfl: It's worth a try though!

As for what reminds me of being on the cruise ship at home--the DIS. That's why I try to get on here every day!:goodvibes
