10th Anniversary...should i tell them?

We are going to stay at POR for 5 nights, and AKL for 2 nights in May. We are taking the kids, but this is our 10th anniversary trip as well.
Does Disney do anything special if you tell them it's your ann.? Should I mention it on my reservations?????????

We went to Disney on our 10th anniversary. We stayed at the GF. When we checked in, we told our CM it was our anniversary, hoping to get a better room. Didn't work.....we went into our regular room - nothing special at all. Within 15 minutes we realized that the screaming family next door would spoil our getaway. Kids yelling and running around, parents yelling at the kids - it was awful.

So, we went back downstairs to a different CM and pleaded our case. She gave us a great room with a beautiful King bed, dormer room with balcony and lagoon view. It was peaceful and we rarely saw anyone.

I guess it's luck of the draw on your CM. I hope it works out. We have stayed at both resorts, PO and AKL. Our favorite is AKL and we have always been upgraded here. I know it doesn't mean we will next time, but it is great. Make sure you eat at Bomas! Yum!

You should definately tell them. It doesn't hurt to "casually" mention it.

DH and I just celbrated our 10th at a non-Disney hotel (we went to NYC) and I mentioned it when I made the reservations and we got a bottle of champagne sent to the room.

You never know....

When we celebrated our anniversary in WDW, I told them everytime I called to make ps and again when I confirmed room ressies. When we arrived our room had balloons, disposible camera alone with autographed picture of Pooh in a very nice picture frame. We got glass of champaign (free) for dinner the actual night of our anniversary. I think it's definately work telling them, you never know!

Can't hurt to try - For our 30th anniversary we stayed at the Beach Club, had booked a standard room and got upgraded to a jr. suite. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary!

We're celebrating our 20th anninversary this June in WDW. I mentioned it also, we'll be staying at CBR.

I was wondering, besides the re-hitching ceremony at the Garden Grill, do any other restaurants have anything similar to this?

We are also planning to stay at the Beach Club during our 18th anniversary. I was wondering if I should say anthing. I think that I will mention it. We have been planning and saving to stay at the Beach club, and we would really like to make this trip special. Unfortunately, we will be arriving on our anniversary date and really have no reservations for dinner since we are not sure when we will arrive.
