101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

We had a hard day yesterday. One of our two kitties, my baby, has been sick. She finished her meds from last week and still seemed sick. I took her into the vet yesterday and they did an x-ray. It revealed she had a tumor in her bladder that was inoperable. The doctor said she's in an extreme amount of pain and it was time to talk about putting her to sleep. :sad1: :sad1:

My hubby came home and we took the kids to say goodbye to her. The kids had drawn pictures for her, so we gave her those. I stayed with her as they gave her a sedative. She was so angry with the vet and in so much pain they could barely hold her still. It was hard to watch. I just wanted to know she had peace. She fell "asleep" quickly and I was allowed to stay with her as long as I wanted.

It was so hard walking out of that room and leaving her there. :guilty: :sad1: It's funny, but the other kitty has been with me every since I got home yesterday. She's normally antisocial, but I guess she "knows" something's up and is taking her place as the head kitty now. It's so strange... It's helping me a lot to have furry therapy right now though.

Anyway, that's what's up. I'm hoping to write soon. There are so many good TRs out there that I think people just don't have time for reading PTRs. I think in about a month, things will pick up more. With all this crazy stuff inour family, I'm a little burnt out on planning too. I know I need to get busy and do it though. It's mostly done, it's just a matter of finalizing stuff.

Thanks for the hugs. We've done okay today. I just can't let myself think about it. The kids saw my cry (a lot) yesterday, but I can't allow myself to continue to do so, or it'll be really hard on them.
My son wants to know if we can have a dog now...:sad2: My oldest wants to find a webkinz that looks like our kitty (none of them do so far) and name her after the kitty. My younger daughter hasn't really said much about it at all.

So, thanks for thinking of us. I just bought something cute for the trip, so I'm going to post about it now. :woohoo:

I an trying to catch up on all my boards and posts from the last two days... :scared1: It may take me all of tomorrow too!
Anyway, I was reading DM's report and all the questions about her lanyard thingy reminded me that I've been wanting one. I have a few buck$ in Paypal burning a hole in my pocket, so I went looking for a lanyard/fastpass holder.

Looky what I bought!!!! It's so cute and I got it on sale too! With shipping it was $9. I like this one because it has a zipper so I can keep more than just my KTTW in it. So fun!

I bought it on eBay. If you search "Disney Fastpass Lanyard", it should come up. If you go to her store, she has lots of cute characters. The store is Disney Smiles, I think. :)

So sorry about your kitty

Love the lanyard :goodvibes:

BTW we want to hear all about all your planning :yay:

What was the Epcot book like?

Also I know you're going to CR do you have anything to celebrate as you could try and get a diver to hold up a sign it's really cool :thumbsup2

Oh that's so sad about your kitty :sad1:
How old was she? There was no way they could do surgery?
:grouphug: to you and your family.

Animals have a sixth sense about when you need them. When my kitty went to the Rainbow Bridge, my other kitty was always close by and let me hold him without squirming.

Anyhooo

Love the Lanyard, way cute! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Jo. I want to start writing about the trip again, but these next few days are crazy busy. I'll try to get something in soon!

Sophie was 8. She couldn't be operated on because it was a large bladder tumor. You can't take a bladder out and the vet said it was the only thing to do. She didn't get better on meds and she was in severe pain.
My other kitty has been free "kitty therapy". It's really been helpful. I'm hoping later to announce something special here... Check back later!

our newest family member.... Riley!

We have wanted to get a puppy for the kids for a while, but A was so young and then our kitty was sick... It just wasn't the right timing. But now it is! He's super cute and was such a good boy in his crate last night. Okay... now I need to go read up on puppy training! We've been a kitty family for 12 years!

They didn't give me much info on him at the shelter. They did say he is a Shepherd mix. We go to the vet this morning, and I plan on asking what she thinks. I'm not sure how big he'll get- I'm hoping he'll be medium. But without knowing what type of Shepherd he is or what the mix is, I'm not sure. He's got some big paws on him, that's for sure!

Anyone good with dogs? What kind of doggie do we have here? :confused3

Oh my goodness he is adorable!!!

I'm a cat person myself, but I absolutely love puppies too. He looks like a German Shepherd, what he's mixed with I have no clue. Shepherd's are one of my 2 favorite kinds of dogs though.

Awwww, I just wanna hug him. :goodvibes

Congrats! He is adorable..

He is a cutie... He's pretty good so far too. The only thing I'm really working hard at is the house training. I think that just takes time.
I'm a cat person too. This is our first dog, so it's been interesting. :)
