2026 Travel

Happy new year everybody! Thought I'd do another re-cap of 2025 travel and see what everyone else has planned for 2026.

We did a week in Aulani this past November-December. Weather felt more humid than May, which is when we usually visit, but no rain which was great. Was the in-laws as their first Hawaii trip and they loved it while we drove them around the Island, and we shared a 2-bed villa. Requested a room facing the Luau. which we got, so we got to see the Luau every other night for free

For 2026 we are doing 2 weeks in South Africa in May, and then 2 weeks in Orlando/WDW late Oct-early Nov, taking our eldest this time. Youngest is finishing Y12 (woohoo) and we need to be back before her graduation, so will squeeze in the end of the Halloween season. Plan to attend a MNSSHP (if we can get tickets), will be staying at SSR then hop over to Portofino a few days for Universal. Will be visiting Epic for the first time as well.

June: Paris and Normandy with the family
August: West coast (visiting family and then heading to a national park)

We had originally planned Paris for spring break, but between ODS, YDS, and me, we realized that we each have our breaks during different weeks.

2025 recap: Paris, and Strasbourg/Colmar but just DH and I in March The entire family took a road trip to NY state to see state parks and Niagara Falls over the summer.

2025 recap - We did a month travelling around the Canadian Rockies and a Disney cruise to Alaska. We also went to NZ a couple of times, but that was technically for work

So far for 2026 we don't actually have any plans, but I'm very seriously considering booking the Adventure in the April holidays and seeing some of Singapore while we're over there. If I say it enough that's called manifesting, right?
