101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

Love the site, wish I would've known about it before P&PP that a little bit Princess a little bit Pirate shirt was cute.

Wooohooo on CRT! princess:

You probably won't have that much time to kill at the Poly, maybe 2 hours. I think most dinners take about 2-2 1/2 hours. Good choice on Ohana.:thumbsup2

You for sure didn't start this TR too early! It's never too early;) Well o kay...maybe there are some instances.:)

You have done a great job with your no sew projects:thumbsup2 On a budget even::cool1:

I am looking forward to reading more.

Thanks for visiting... I'm hoping to do a craft night for the trip on Friday since my girls will be gone (nosey girls!) and the boys will play Gamecube all night! :thumbsup2

Luckily, you have plenty of trips this year and can make a shirt for next time, right? :goodvibes
So, I'm happy that it sounds like the extra time will be a forced "slow down" time that we can chill and shop until Wishes.

Thanks everyone for helping me with that question! :goodvibes

Yeah! A second day at the Magic Kingdom!!! Now you see why I didn't want to go back to MK after 'Ohana to watch Wishes. We plan on watching it tonight at the Magic Kingdom. :cool1:

Today is an EMH day at MK, so it's not going to be a green day as far as TMG is concerned, but it's the day we can see Spectromagic. So, we're going. Plus, it's January, so hopefully it won't be too crowded. :woohoo:

The general plan is to go to Fantasyland right away. At 9:45 a.m., I want to be in line to meet Ariel. She's my favorite! Then I want to head over to Mickey and Minnie's houses and the Judges' Tent. Then we'll head over to Tomorrowland.

Next is lunch, but I have a small problem with lunch. We were going to go to Cosmic Ray's, but it will be closed when we visit. So, once again, I'm asking for help. Anyone have a suggestion for a good CS meal in MK?

After lunch I want to head over to the front of the castle to see Dream Along with Mickey, then visit Adventureland. We have an ADR at the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner.

Spectromagic is at 8p.m., then Wishes is at 9p.m. I have planned out the spot I plan on watching Wishes from, but I was reading a TR (who was that? My memory is "duh"... Miz Diz, I think) and she mentioned that she likes to be in front of the castle so she can see Tink and the magic of the fireworks over the castle. So, that's my last question today... Should I just go where TGM says, or chance going to the front? I'm hoping it's not too crowded in January. The lack of crowds (and heat!) is why I picked this time period to go. I'm hoping it makes things less hectic, can you tell? ;)

To recap: I need a CS in MK and where should we sit for Wishes? popcorn::

OK my 2 pence worth, we viewed Wishes from the Tomorrowland bridge and had a great view of Tink flying that was our 05 trip before TGM, Jen and Tera did the TGM spot and said it was fantastic, I think you should have both potions and decide once you see the crowds or hopefully the lack of them :)

Columbia Harbour House was nice, they did some sandwiches too which was a good change from always eating burgers!

Oh a few final tips, if you're on the DDP always ask for a large drink otherwise you'll get a regular, also if you ask the CM's at CS restaurants they will always give you a cup of water free :yay:

::yes:: I agree with Jo...although we did LOVE our TGM spot!

Thanks for the tips. I just want to be able to see Tink. I think we'll get the view of the castle with the fireworks over them at the Poly, don't you think?
I have heard about Columbia Harbor House. I'll look over their menu today. Thanks for the drink tip! That's a good one.

I second CHH! That was some YUMMY tuna!
What in the world is so great about it? :confused3 I've read on several trip reports that it's really good. I do like tunafish sandwiches though. :thumbsup2

::yes:: I agree with Jo...although we did LOVE our TGM spot!
Like I said, as long as we see Tink, that's the main thing. I need to get back over to TMG. I haven't read about anything in a while. Thanks for visiting!!! :yay:

Yesterday I called and made a reservation for our Carriage Ride.
So that would make today...
89 days until our trip!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yes, low crowds are why we are going in Jan too! :thumbsup2 (well, that and my need for a Disney fix ASAP!)
We love CHH--DH would not miss it, and we often go twice. The sandwiches are great and it is relaxing going upstairs to eat and look out the windows. It's like a haven in the storm.....or something like that!:rotfl2:
And once I made everyone watch Wishes from near the ferryboat cause it was not crowded--and we could not see the front of the castle and missed Tink and the show. So we were bummed. So we will be front and center! (I think the shows are really early too--? 7 pm some nites)

OK my 2 pence worth,
Do 2 pence=2 cents?? :confused3

Where at??

(we are planning to ride one at POR)

I totally understood your calm in the storm reference. It sounds wonderful. We'll go there, then. I know a sandwich will probably sit better than greasy foods that most CS serve. :thumbsup2

We're doing the one at POR too. BTW- I read in the Magically Speaking newsletter that POR will have a smores/campfire through Feb 15th on Sundays and Thursdays. Fun! I don't think it'll work out with my plans, but it sounds fun.

:rotfl2: Yes 2 pence is 2 cents, well with the exchange rate it's 4 cents :rotfl2:

Wooohoooo 89 days, the carriage ride sounds great :)

So--who did you call to get a reservation?? Wow--I thought I knew EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING! :rotfl2:
(course, this staying on site is new to me so I'm listening and learning! :thumbsup2 )

Yes, the dollar is down so I guess that makes the cents pretty much worthless!

I called the Tour department. Their number is 407 939-TOUR. It's $35 for 25 minutes and will fit up to 3 adults and 2 children. They take reservations 90 days out.
We've never stayed at POR either. Well, I guess in '92 it was Dixie Landings when I stayed there. I can't remember much about it though since it was right after graduation! It wasn't a priority to look at the grounds, you know. ;)

CS at MK: Agreeing with everyone else about CHH. Second runner up for me would be a burger from Pecos Bill.

:woohoo: on the carriage ride. Where is this carriage ride? I've never heard of it. :confused3

Oh That carriage ride sounds GREAT!! I wish I would've looked into stuff like that. I know you will enjoy!!:goodvibes

I think I've decided to go to CHH. It sounds yummy. Who doesn't like a decent sandwich in this greasy burger world, you know? :thumbsup2

The carriage rides are out of POR or the Wilderness Camping place. I'm blanking on the name suddenly... They are $35 for 25 minutes and from like 5-9p.m. every 30 mintues. We're doing ours late so we can... hey! I can't reveal those plans yet! :rotfl: I almost told too much!

Anywasy, I think it will be lots of fun. The kids saw a carriage and horse a month ago and they said they wish they could go on one, and I didn't tell them. Lots of this stuff is a secret still. :yay: :yay:

Well, I think I will schedule a carriage ride.

I gotta get back to planning. I told BA we would lay everything out this weekend and look at it. :thumbsup2

Do it! Doooo it! :lmao: I am planning my weekend of projects for the trip this weekend too. I'm going to snap pics and post them (when my nosey kids aren't looking) Monday! Have a productive weekend! :thumbsup2
