Noticed that they didn't get a first prize for finishing first but maybe that was because they were so busy high fiving that that they beat Rob and Amber. Please eliminate this team quickly. Also I was so hoping the Mom/son team would be eliminated as they are also annoying.

Rob is playing the game well that's for sure. It seemed to take the teams who did eat a long time because I don't think Rob and Amber were that far behind. I think the thing I like best about Rob and Amber is that I haven't heard either of them call the other names. Ray? and Deanna -- I think next week he has her in tears. It's like Jonathan and Victoria all over again. Not needed.

Not spring here yet either. Nice and sunny out but lots of snow on the ground (with more to come tonight if you believe the weatherman) and it's only going up to 1C (about 34F) today.

Back to work.

NOPE!! Not spring here yet! Enjoy the nice weather Eric! Make a run in the ragtop just for me!

Michele,
we don't have a ragtop, we have a retractable hardtop like the Mercedes SLK - Don't forget: This is the 21st Century :rotfl:

BTW,
the temps reached 22°C/72°F today in Frankfurt

Ragtop, hardtop...it's a convertable, isn't it!? :smooth: 72...must be nice! I can't WAIT for those temps to hit here! We are below normal, as I think we should be in the 60's. That I can handle! Enjoy your beautiful day!! :moped:

Over on the AR thread on the community board, someone posted that on the first season they did not give out a prize at each pit stop. All the prizes in the past had been coroporation sponsors. So maybe there just aren't as many sponsors this year especially since American Airlines isn't one and they give away most of the trips.

I enjoy the AR thread, most people are Rob and Amber fans but those who do not like him are very vocal.

Yes, it is a convertible, but we 'Hardtoppers' like to make fun of the 'Flapping Hats' :rotfl2:
Yes, 72°F is nice :teeth: Even all the Biergärten (Outdoor pubs) and street-cafes are already open :drinking1

72F?? Are you trying to rub it in Eric?? :goodvibes

March is half over so hopefully spring will be here eventually.

Fiona,
you will soon have 22°C as well: 11°in the morning, and another 11° in the afternoon, which adds to 22° as well :rotfl:

I'd just take 11C at this point Eric. Light dusting of snow again last night. Ugh.

Couldn't get into the boards earlier this morning. Anyone else have this problem?

Survivor was interesting although I was sorry to see Angie go. I guess they had to do something to have Kokor vote off a member and I wasn't surprised that they voted off Willard. I keep wondering if the two people that didn't get a chance to play the game will come back at some point.

Back to work.

Fiona

Without any intention to tease you, Fiona: Today the temperature dropped to
21°C/70°F :teeth:

Great news......we're coming up to NYC the weekend after we close on the house. My son is having one of his film's screened at the Gen Art Film Festival and so we're coming up for the big event. This will be the first time one of his works will be screened at a location other than NYU or AFI (his schools). It is all very exciting for us. If anyone in the area is interested, I will get you the info. His film is a "short" feature so it's being paired with a full length film. I don't know the order but they will run at 5:00pm on Friday 4/8 ($5 admission) and then again on Saturday 4/9 at 7:30 pm which is the official premiere. Tickets to that event are $25 but include admission to the opening night party with an open bar. As far as I know, the event is open to anyone who purchases a ticket. We will only attend the Saturday screening since John has been taking lots of time off from work lately and really can't afford to be out of the office again. I think we're going to fly up and stay in the city since it's the easiest way to get around. We'd love to catch a matinee on B'way, but don't know if we'll be able to fit it in.
All this and the move.......I'm truly going nuts, but a good nuts!
I too was sorry to see Angie go......she really worked her butt off and deserved to go further in the game. Fiona, i think you're right......those 2 people from the beginning are coming back at some point. Does anyone know if they were interviewed on the morning show the day after they got the boot? What about that lady who wore the cub scout uniform? When she got voted off, did she appear on the show the next day? I'm just thinking she would have known she was coming back into the game but wouldn't be able to say anything. That show is televised when I'm at the Y and so I never get to see it.
Mary: what's happening with all the offers? Is something in the works?

Jeanne:

Andy and I would love to get together with you and John but unfortunetely I dont think that its fated to be. That weekend is the science fiction conference(Icon) at Suny stonybrook and it is something that Andy either just goes to every year or as in the last few years has worked at(volunteered). He even went there one year on our anniversary(how dare he-only kidding I encourage him to go-we can celebrate any time).

Congrats though on your sons accomplishments-you both have to be extremely proud..

Happy St. Patrick's Day

It's cold and wet here in central FL. It's definitely a wet St. Patrick's Day, but my corned beef & cabbage is on the stove cooking.

We're all sick down here with a cold that Emily brought home from preschool. Poor Madison isn't getting any sleep lately since she's coughing like crazy. So, I brought her to the doctor today only to find out that she not only has a cold, but another ear infection. (We just got over having one for a month) Hopefully it will be over soon.

I hope everyone is doing well!!!

Amy, I hope you and the family are feeling well again soon. :wizard: Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Later, Avé

Jeanne - congrats on your son's movie. That would be exciting.

Amy - hope everyone is feeling better. Can remember the days when DS got (it seemed) one ear infection after another. Thought at one point that he was living on amoxil. Hope you all feel better soon.

Office is going to be practically empty tomorrow so it will be really, really quiet. It's the Friday of March Break here so lots of people are taking it off.

Snow flurries are floating in the air here as I write this so hopefully the drive home won't be too bad.

Fiona

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY
We had to take Katie to the pediatrician today also for another ear infection. Amoxicillian also along with some cough medicine.

Loved the twist on survivor. I was tired of seeing Angie in that too small black bikini bottom. Mike

Jean..congrats to your son! How exciting to go see one of his films :cheer2:

Home sale update: We have had the inspection, and the buyers have until tomorrow to withdraw their offer. I talked with our agent today, and the buyer wants to come by for a "walk through" tomorrow. There is some issue with our electical "panel box" the inspector has pointed out, but according to the agent is is not a "deal breaker". So I am keeping my fingers crossed. In the meantime, several other offers have come in, so we have at least 2 other potential buyers IF for some reason, the first one falls through.

I have also done the recurrent ear infection routine with DS. He finally have to have the tubes put in the ears, which put an end to the ear infections (finally!)
I hope all who are not feeling well get better very soon.

Survivor: I was also sad to see Angie go. I think she is one of the more interesting contestants. I agree about her "bikini" but I think it is really her underware, as none of the suvivors have a bathing suite.
If Rob and Amber can make it though, without being "yeilded" I think they will win. They have amazing team work, and Rob can sell ice to Eskimos! :rotfl2:

Pixie Dust ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ to all in need of it.

Mary,
we're keeping our fingers crossed for you.

Weather is great again, according to Amy's post even betetr than in FLA :cool1: I even drove with the top down TO work this morning :smooth:

Got the dentist's estimate yesterday: Nearly €3000 :scared1: , but I guess my insurance will cover about 40% of it. Usually they cover more, but only for the 'functional' part. As I will take the best quality available, which is porcelain, they consider this 'cosmetic' and so I have to come up with about €1700-1800. But as our dentist offers interest-free installments for six months, it would be stupid to pay it at once. This way I pay €300 a month for half a year, while letting MY money gain interest in the bank ;)

Talking about the List:
as Gramps returned from hospital on Tuesday and Anja has to work the lateshift today I will spend the evening with him. Depending upon how late Anja will be finished tonight I may or may not be able to do an update.
There's another addition: It's not only Tracey and her family to be added, there's also some veterans rejoining us: Windermere, Nancy & George, will probably come with us. They will be put in Status RED as they have to wait till November to book (DVC).

What a "SWEET",delightful surprise !! :)

Really,it was so thoughtful and timing was great!!
