1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

I'm glad to hear Mama is home safe and sound. With the kids I think this is the hard part not helping them to much. I know you will miss them on your vacation.

Wow 7.25 sounds like a winner to me.

I've never picked a pearl, but I've always wanted to. Maybe next time! Looks like you got a beauty! I didn't realize you can pick your settings right there. Cool!

Dang it why do I get behind!

I'm a huge fan of the Maelstrom! Over the falls, Over the falls! I may or may not have chanted that constently on our Norweigan cruise. :lmao:

Glad your mama made it home safe from her cruise, but sorry you all had to cancel a fun weekend in the city.

We were watching the weather up there, all of the ice on the bridges makes it very dangerous driving. It seems like the Northshore got hit hard. (I'm a transplant from Indiana to New Orleans and then moved to Hammond in Livingston Parish but now in Orlando. I keep running south from the cold weather)

Hate that Lacey and Jesse had to cancel their trip, it bites being a grownup sometimes!

Okay that was pretty ballsy (can I say that on here?) that the woman wanted a picture of your bag so she could make one. She could have at least snapped a picture from a distance.

Awsome Home Depot trip!

***Okay Louisiana Off topic here I'm excited to go home today because friends just got home from New Orleans and brought me a King Cake!!! Breakfast tomorrow shall be coffee and king cake! Okay dinner tonight might be coffee and king cake! You don't know how much you miss something until you can't get it.****:joker::joker::joker:

That's too bad that Lacey and Jesse won't be able to make the trip this year. After Jasmyne's graduation trip next year I want to save up for DVC. And do some sprucing up around the house. So I foresee no trip in 2016 and if any a small one on 2017. :sad2:
I've always wanted to do the pick a pearl. Maybe with Jazz on her graduation trip. :scratchin

I think Pick a Pearl is so much fun. It's something everyone needs to do at least once. Those girls just get so over the top enthusiastic. It's really fun! And it looks like you got the perfect pearl. :thumbsup2

Well, crazy goings on - sorry New Orleans got canceled b/c of the weather, glad you got to meet Mama and she got home safely.
Cool deal for you at Home Depot with the appliances - I'd like to do that!!

Sorry Lacey and Jessie have to sit out the next WDW trip with you - sometimes it sucks being all adult and practical. But they do have their heads on straight. It will serve them well in life!

Pick a pearl is a lot of fun! The girls and I did that and have necklaces. Good memory!

:cool1: on your great discount for your new appliances!

It's a good thing you were there to pick mama up after that long trip I'm sure she really appreciated it.

We got a little snow here but we got a lot of ice. They cancelled school Tues.-Friday. River thinks he's on vacation again. I had to break it to him that he would have to make up those days.

I'm sorry to hear that Lacey and Jesse won't be able to go with you this year. Maybe they'll be able to make it next year.

Way to go on your pearl!

Wow your weekend sounded crazy, I'm glad your Mama got home safely!

Congrats on your pearl, my DD is desperate to do it but she wants the shell rather than the pearl :rotfl2:

Enjoying this report!:goodvibes

Thank you! I hope to get another installment posted soon. Gotta finish up the work on my desk first.

I would absolutely love to help them pay for the trip this year but I also know that they need to be independent.

I've never picked a pearl, but I've always wanted to. Maybe next time! Looks like you got a beauty! I didn't realize you can pick your settings right there. Cool!

Yep, there are settings there in the case. They range from about $15 to waaaaay up in the $$$$.

Wow, what a weekend!

Sounds like you are having a kitchen makeover thanks to some great deals at Home Depot.

:rotfl2: about the "no dent" place!

I think you made a wise choice about staying home. I can't believe the news stories I saw about the driving conditions down south.

That's a bummer about Lacey and Jesse not being able to join you, but you are right. They are being responsible and you should be proud. And Lacey has a new Jeep :woohoo:

******************************************

The only time I have done the Pick-A-Pearl was in Sea World a gazillion years ago and I still haven't set the two pearls I have. I don't wear much for jewelry. But I watched the Pearl ceremony in EPCOT a couple of years ago and you are right. It is really something!

HI Lisa!

I have a lot to get caught up on, but I'm looking forward to the fun that is you and your family!

Just wanted to let you know I was subbin! Your crazy family description reeled me in and now I can't wait to here about your adventures at the World! :cool1:

Dang it why do I get behind!

I seem to be behind all the dang time.:faint:

I'm a huge fan of the Maelstrom! Over the falls, Over the falls! I may or may not have chanted that constently on our Norweigan cruise. :lmao:

Hilarious and totally sounds like something that we'd do.

Glad your mama made it home safe from her cruise, but sorry you all had to cancel a fun weekend in the city.

We are going to plan another weekend trip there soon. Gonna let Mardi Gras be over and one with first.

The weather was crazy! Usually we get the ice up here in North Louisiana but this time NO got hit.

Hate that Lacey and Jesse had to cancel their trip, it bites being a grownup sometimes!

They wanted to go but knew that it wasn't in the budget this year. Oh well, they'll just plan a trip to Louisiana instead.

Okay that was pretty ballsy (can I say that on here?) that the woman wanted a picture of your bag so she could make one. She could have at least snapped a picture from a distance.

Yeah, like I would have done...taken a picture without letting them know it.

Awsome Home Depot trip!

Yay for King Cake! I need to stop in the bakery on the way home one day and get one. They are already making them.

Great pics! :)

Thank you!

We will have to do the pick a pearl sometime. We never have :thumbsup2

It's a fun thing to do and makes a nice reusable souvenir.

Ain't it tough being a grown up and all responsible? I know about the sprucing up around the house too. Yeah, we started it last June and are still working on it. :faint:

I hope that you'll get to go back to Disney sooner rather than later.

I think Pick a Pearl is so much fun. It's something everyone needs to do at least once. Those girls just get so over the top enthusiastic. It's really fun! And it looks like you got the perfect pearl. :thumbsup2

They are definitely enthusiastic! I think that I may do pick a pearl one more time and have a ring made. We had one done for Lacey when she graduated.

Well, crazy goings on - sorry New Orleans got canceled b/c of the weather, glad you got to meet Mama and she got home safely.

It was all sorts of crazy! New Orleans hardly ever gets weather like that.

Cool deal for you at Home Depot with the appliances - I'd like to do that!!

Our appliances were so mismatched before and it looks so nice now.

Sorry Lacey and Jessie have to sit out the next WDW trip with you - sometimes it sucks being all adult and practical. But they do have their heads on straight. It will serve them well in life!

They really do have their heads on straight and I'm proud that they have their priorities in order.

Pick a pearl is a lot of fun! The girls and I did that and have necklaces. Good memory!

It's a lot of fun to do.

Do they not factor in "snow days"? I know that they do here. So far, they have missed just two or three days so there won't be any make up days here. Thank goodness since we are leaving the day after school lets out.

Lacey and Jesse were disappointed as were we but they always know that the invitation is open to go to Disney with us.

Wow your weekend sounded crazy, I'm glad your Mama got home safely!

Congrats on your pearl, my DD is desperate to do it but she wants the shell rather than the pearl :rotfl2:

It was definitely a crazy weekend and odd. Never thought that we'd be snowed out of New Orleans.

It's funny that you said that. Someone actually asked if they could keep the shell and they were told no because of health issues.

Wow, what a weekend!

Sounds like you are having a kitchen makeover thanks to some great deals at Home Depot.

I am so happy to have new appliances that actually match. My others were all mismatched.

:rotfl2: about the "no dent" place!

I'm telling ya, Grandma must have been blind when she said "where's the dent?".

I think you made a wise choice about staying home. I can't believe the news stories I saw about the driving conditions down south.

Mama said that traffic coming out of New Orleans was super crazy! Just one lane is a lot of places and 18 wheelers lined up on the side of the road because they couldn't go anywhere the night before and had to stop along the interstate.

That's a bummer about Lacey and Jesse not being able to join you, but you are right. They are being responsible and you should be proud. And Lacey has a new Jeep :woohoo:

I am very proud of their decision. They have good heads on their shoulders.

I didn't think that I'd wear the pearl because, well, they are pearls and when I think of pearls, I think of the whole strand of pearls on a grandma. Sorry grandmas out there! But, I really like the settings that I chose for each pearl. Not super girly/fancy.

Hey! Good to see you back on the Dis!

Just wanted to let you know I was subbin! Your crazy family description reeled me in and now I can't wait to here about your adventures at the World! :cool1:

Welcome aboard! We are a wild and crazy family who loves to have fun. I hope that you'll continue to read along and post your thoughts!

Hey ya'll! Just wanted to pop in and tell you that I've working on an update. I've been searching the world over for what I think are missing Epcot pictures. Maybe I'm crazy and there aren't more to be found? :sad2: I don't know. :confused3 I also had to upload pictures from our last day in the parks and I believe that's all done. Anyway, I'm going to write the installment using the pictures that I have of so that I can get something posted. Be back after while ya'll!
