Finally the humidity has subsided. It was so hot I was afraid to try and do too much on my puter ... don't have central air cause we generally don't need it where I live.

Hope everybody had a nice weekend. UGH back to work. Only good thing is that it is closer to the sail-away.

I started a new needlepoint idea and Art said "so how many of them are you making" ... guess after all these years he kows me!

Cathy girl, it would be hard to live down south without central air conditioning since we have gotten accustomed to it. It is not the heat, but the humidity that gets you. I kept Katie last night and babies cannot tell time. She wanted to be awake all hours of the night Doesn't she know that her grandpa is an old fat man that needs his rest Mike

Canada - Mike .... Just wondering if any of the fires in Canada are near you? Believe it or not we have had the smoke from them are there are even advisories for people with COPD to stay indoors. It's amazing that the smoke can travel so far.

Tennessee - Mike .... Thought of you today cause there was a trash tractor trailor on it's side across two lanes of one of our main highways. The garbage was all over and I was thinking "wonder how many diapers were in that mess to pick up" HeHeHe.

I do have a question -- the Radisson everyone is staying at -- is that the Radisson Resort at the Port, Cape Canaveral?

Beth ... YES that is the Raddison we are staying at. It is beautiful with a really great pool if you get there early afternoon/evening. There are restaurants around that you can walk to. It is almost right across from the port ... some rooms can see the Disney ships when they are at the port! You will be happy you stay there.
Last year some of us got together around the pool to get acquainted before we sailed. They are really nice to you and there is a free shuttle to get to the ship.

If this DIS Cruisear is anything like Cruisetoberfest last year you are in for a realllllly good time.

Mary or Ave --- dumb ?, Do we need beach towels for the Captain Marvin StingRay thingy? When we did Orient Beach by ourselves last year we smuggled out Disney towels to use.

The green gang will not be joining you on the 9/28/02 cruise, nor will we be using the reservations that I have at the Contemporary for those dates. Mr. Green says he will NOT give up hunting this year, and opening week for Elk hunting is the same week, (which is why the kids have a two day break on that week from School) It was nice getting to know all of you. I had a feeling that this would turn out this way. Hopefully I will have a chance to meet some of you in the future.

The most serious fires are east of James Bay in northern Quebec, we're down in southern Ontario - if you draw a straight line between Detroit and Buffalo our home of London is roughly halfway between the two. Areas just north of us did get a little smoke over the weekend, but the prevailing winds have carried most of it to the east and south. I saw on the news last night that even Washington was getting blanketed by the smoke. This is just our way of getting even for all the acid rain and smog Ohio dumps on us.

Sorry that you could not make it Patty. Cathy when my partner and I were working in fort lauderdale they were expecting the temperature to drop down to lower 50's. They were telling everyone to be sure and bring the animals in due to cold temps

Wouldn't you know that they would announce the LS rates today. I just opened my e-mail and there it was.
Maybe I just need a new husband. One that doesn't HUNT. One that LOVES all things MICKEY. One that LOVES ME enough to realize that I need a MICKEY fix on a regular basis.

DH agreed on this one. Would any of you care to join me...?

At least I have something to look forward to.

I am just back from a wonderful trip to NY. We stayed with baby brother on Long Island, visited sister in Manhattan, and sailed in Jamacia Bay with big brother. I also got to visit a former cruisemate Rosemary and Richard (Tulirose), and had a wonderful visit with them! I think baby brother and his wife may join us in Oct 2003.

I would love to join you on your cruise, but, I really want to do the Western. When I saw the dates (this date is over my birthday too) I knew it was meant to be when it was a Western Cruise. Currently have a hold on a cabin. Will have to check and see if I can swap my dates at work. Of course the guys that I work with are Hunters, and they were furious that I've had opening week off two years in a row. Especially since I'm the only GURL! So I'm sure that I can work something out.

Hey GBG! Did you see, I may be back learning Korean again!!!!

Now i must see who else will be going on my date......

Okay....I also have bad/good news. I too am bowing out. I have been on this thread ever since it started after they closed down the 9/22 and 9/29-ers.

But, we are going Patty's way. Well, not exactly. We couldn't get on the 11/9/02. So, we are going on the 10/26/02. (The Halloween cruise!!!)

We tried to get with Patty. But couldn't as it was full...and that week would back us right into deer season here.

And like RT said...at least Patty is going!

It has been so great getting to know you guys on this thread. I mean, we knew you when we were competing, but we have been through babies and deaths and trips and holidays. (tear, sniffle)

I will still keep us with you guys as well.

And just like Patty, I must now go and find the Halloween cruising group.

(Can I just keep my Cruisears stuff anyway? )

Well, the votes are in....my team won team of the month!! Yeah Starfish!!!!! We each get a $10 bonus, plus the office will buy us lunch. But most importantly it puts us in the running for Team of the Year. That will be announced Aug. 3rd at our Employee Dinner. The winners get $150. plus 2 extra vacation days!
