Today was such a good day. I received an email today to join Beta Gamma Sigma. Its an honor society and joining is by invitation only. Eligiblity is being in the top 10% of your class.

I was floored that I am in the top 10% of my class :)

Pretty amazing and walking on cloud 9 right now!
Congratulations! That is great! What field is Beta Gamma Sigma for? I had the same thing happen in graduate school for Kappa Delta Phi which is for education. These things have to look good on a resume, right?! Way to go! Keep on keepin' on!

Its for business. My husband teased me yesterday, calling me a nerd (all in good fun). He said I will be so decked out at graduation they will wonder where my gown is.

I will have cords for BGS, and cords for Beta Alpha Psi (national honor society for accounting majors) and I am currently on track to graduate Magna Cum Laude. And here I complain about school :rotfl:

How many are extending your trip after the cruise at WDW?? We are going to through the weekend because of F/W.

Also how many are going to try the Expedition Everest challenge??

HERE

I signed hubby and myself up yesterday. We are going to put the kids in a kids club so we can do this and have some fun together :)

Mandy - that is amazing. You will have to share a graduation photo with us!

We're staying Thursday and Friday after the cruise. Since we are driving home we'll be leaving early Saturday morning, visiting family in TN and then get home on Sunday.

We don't know what we are doing after. How do you guys who go all the time to WDW keep it fun? Do you not get bored going every year? Last year we went to universal & did the halloween night at magic kingdom. That was fun.

Annette and I will be staying until monday am. We are also doing the Everest Challenge.

Mandy congratulations on your awards.

Amanda

We do different things every time and stay at different places. For example if you look at my stays in my signature, you will notice only a couple of same resort stays, the rest are at all different resorts. That makes it fun because it is neat to try out a new place.

We also try to eat at different places too. Now that we have gone quite a few times, we haven't done any of the more expensive restaurants, i.e. Citricos, V&A, Narcossee's and the like because of the boys. So now we go with a few favorites and revisit some others that we hadn't been to in a while.

We also try to do different things. This year is our first year at Flower and Garden, or going in April/May period, so that makes it exciting. We experienced food and wine for the first time in 2005 and last year did a little bit more to get more involved in it to make it fun as well.

We've also done Segway tours for something neat, hubby has done horseback riding, we have done Illuminations cruises, P&P party, MNSSHP, and MVMCP. I have also taken the kids to the petting farm at Fort Wilderness. We have walked from FW to WL. This year we are also going to try to go to Celebration to check that out. We have done resort tours at Christmas to check out the different trees and decorations. We are going to try a water park, we have never been, and some mini golf sometime.

I would like to do the snorkeling type thing in the Living Seas.

So it's all about variety. We also don't visit every park every trip. We usually hit MK and Epcot every trip but we alternate MGM and AK. We are also doing some of the races to mix it up a bit.

Plus we take a more relaxing approach, if we don't get to the park until 11am - fine. If we get there early and leave at noon - fine. We also spend one full day hanging out at the resort, relaxing by the pool, which the boys love and checking out the resort activities and such.

I hope that helps

We do much like Mandy. We try to do something new and different each trip. Like our trip in December we ate at Chefs de France for the first time and also did the Segway tour at Ft. Wilderness.

Of course we have our favorite things to do as well. Like we always try to see Illuminations at least once each trip.

Good morning Member Cruisers
We sail in 31 weeks!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

That is Great news Mandy. So you are majoring in Accounting. Does you school have a concentration? Is it Computerized Accounting/Auditing. Do you want to move to Tennessee when you graduate? All fun aside - Good luck. I know with both Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma on your resume, you should have quite a few opportunities.

No it doesn't have a concentration just accounting. Although our required courses are Intermediate 1 and 2, Auditing (either internal or external), Accouting information systems, Tax (Individual or corporate) and Cost (either strategy and decision or cost and control).

Na, can't say I want to move to TN, I am a yankee at heart ;)

Giving us a bump up as we were almost on page 2!

Hope everyone is having a great day. We're at home watching the Daytona 500. :drive:

Well I'm a yankee born and bred but would love to move to Robin's area! If for no other reason than to be one days drive from WDW. :)

have only read about half of posts this week so far. got home and was sick and have been in bed all weekend. glad tomorrow is a holiday and I don't have to do anything. haven't been on computer at all.

Lots of rain here and we really need it.

Hope all are well.

Mandy...congrats!!! Isnt it wonderful to get good news from school!Kay...hope you are feeling well soon!* We are finally caught up on our mail, and things around the house so I have a few minutes to post! We really enjoyed both of the cruises.* I think the only things that were negative for us was the dining servers on the 1st cruise, they had a very unfriendly attitude, and the weather on the last 2 nights of the 2nd cruise.* Otherwise we enjoyed every minute of our trip!* I promise to post some pics and highlights soon!* One thing that we did, was the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK...We really had a blast.* We learned alot of new things, and got to see alot of backstage things that we never had seen before.* I have pics of the shuttle launch, I will post a few of those also!* Hope everyone had a great weekend!*

Good morning everyone! Welcome back Tina. Sounds like you had a mix of good and bad but still managed to have a great time. I can only begin to imagine how awesome it would be to see a shuttle launch from the ship. Would love to see those pictures.

Good morning everybody.Well Nanc and I made it back from our PEE WEE Hockey in Bangor. The boys didn,t do as well as we thought they would. They only one of three games. Our first game was against the team that hadn't lost all year. They were a team that should have been what they call teir 1.,because they were that good . For some reason the association let them stay teir 2 because the coach didn't want to split them up and of course he knew by staying teir 2 he wouldn,t get beat NOT FAIR for the other teams. Needless to say they won all there games by huge margins and won it all.
Well enought of that we still had a great time .We ate to much so this morning its back to counting pointsand treadmill because its raining. both Nanc and I were real bad this weekend. To much Fried shrimp,Beer, Pastry and what ever. It was very cold up noth but we had fun shopping and being with all the kids.
Hope everybody else had a great weekend.

Good morning Dan - welcome home! Sorry to hear the boys didn't do as well as hoped. I totally understand about having to get back to eating better and exercise. Didn't have the best weekend for that. :)

Have a great day and stay safe and warm.

Yeah, I know that does make it awfully appealing. :) I don't think I could handle the south though, except Atlanta. Then it's only about 8 hours to WDW, talk about quick weekend trips :rotfl: Compared to the 20 hours from here, 8 hours would be so easy.

Of course I say that but it wouldn't really happen. I mean I love Chicago and that is only 3 hours from here yet somedays it feels like a world away.

Dan - I was the queen of eating bad this weekend. I have to cut out the sugar and pop because I can see it is getting addicting again. Sigh.
