, except Atlanta. Then it's only about 8 hours to WDW, talk about quick weekend trips :rotfl: Compared to the 20 hours from here, 8 hours would be so easy.
Perhaps we aren't as young as we used to be, but 8 hours is not a hop, skip, or jump for us. With gas prices the way they are and our bodies recovering differently from long trips in the car - 8 hours is a world away. It does make a once in while 4 day weekend trip doable, but even then, we find ourselves recuperating all week from it. Dh wants ot move there for retirement.

Good Morning all,

Dan welcome back- just think we were three hours north of there!!!

It was a bad diet week end here also. Scott was home to I cooked too much.

Kay- I thought you were missing for too many days- hope you are feeling better.

Mandy- we are only 6 hours aways and we still don't get there enough. Life is just too busy.... Maybe when the kids are all settled and we are retired!!!!

I also am a Yankee born & bred and the south isn't so bad- I used to say if my kids ever said- "fixin" we were going back to NY. But the beaches are beautiful here and there is no shoveling!!!!!

happy Monday all.

No it doesn't have a concentration just accounting. Although our required courses are Intermediate 1 and 2, Auditing (either internal or external), Accouting information systems, Tax (Individual or corporate) and Cost (either strategy and decision or cost and control).

Na, can't say I want to move to TN, I am a yankee at heart ;)

Rats, looks like I will have to advertise again. Anyone know an Auditor with a caat knowledge and/or experience (computer-assisted auditing techniques for those who wondered). CPA or CISA preferred. Oh yeah- they have to move to Nashville. ;) ;) ;)

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Another cold one here in Chicagoland. Brrrrr. I'm really looking forward to Spring getting here.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everybody.Well Nanc and I made it back from our PEE WEE Hockey in Bangor. danandnan

Dan - I have been to Bangor quite a few times and it is beautiful in that area. Have a beautiful painting of a lagoon w/a shunken ship from that area and I adore it. On one of our trips we had a huge seafood feast on one of the beaches - I look at those pics and remember the good times we had there.

Hope everyone has a great day

Good Morning from freezing Chicago!!! I really was hoping we were done with the single digit temps, but I guess someone had something else in mind!!! Spring needs to get here very fast! I am not a cold weather person at all, I would love to move to Florida, but would miss my family way too much! So how is everyone this Tuesday morning?
Things are pretty quiet around our house, the girls are hoping for warmer weather so they go outside and play. I am hoping its a little warmer this weekend, I have to go downtown Friday-Sunday for the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting. Its usually alot of fun. Lots of giveaways, toothbrushes, paste, floss, sonicare, waterpics, gloves, you name it and then some! I am taking the girls down with me on Sunday, they always enjoy going with me to see the new products that are out, (or thats what they say, I think its for the free things they get).
Send some warmer weather our way!!!!

Well, I did it. We are booked on the 3-day cruise immediately following the members cruise. Can't have the same cabin as we have a Cat 7 on the Member cruise and 4 people won't fit in a cat 7. DS (13) and his DF (also 13) will be flying down that AM. We will leave the ship and drive to MCO, pick them up and drive back to Canaveral.

Weather here in Nashville is weird as usually. Big giant flakes of snow all morning, but no accumulation. It was a pretty drive to work.

Just got back from a nice 40 min walk while Nanc went to eat lunch with her sister and Mom and Dad. I was invited but I told Nanc to go enjoy being with Mom and Dad and sister. Just the family thing.
Yes Kay we had a great time in Bangor. We ate to much so I have to get rid of some of it and walking will do it. Those fried shrimp and deserts and beer will do it Ha Ha. Just like being on the Cruise.
Nanc will get her exersize tonight when she goes to water arobics. She has it twice a week and has been doing it for 10 years.
I hope everybody has a great day.

Congrats Robin - I know you guys will have a great time. Hey since you won't be using your house in Nashville can we use it on the way home? :lmao: I'm kidding of course. :)

The demon cat - Riku - may get you.

Yes I named my cat after a Disney video game character. The next will be either Roxas or Axel if DS has anything to do with it.

One of our local weathermen works with me part time. He said the cold will last until the weekend and then we should have a nice weekend.

This cold is hard on me because i do outside sales(going business to business). Today my feet were freezing.

Kay are you feeling better? I've missed chatting with you.

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been away, but I was in Daytona covering the 500 for work. We were there Friday-Sunday. Long hours is all I can say, but I did get to watch the last 10 laps from Victory Lane overlooking the start/finish line. Plus I got to stay in Victory Lane for the ceremony and such. It was an awesome experience even for someone like me who is not a huge NASCAR Fan. At the end of the day I was able to walk on the track and we got the nuts that came off the car tires, I got one of the Coolers that were in Victory Lane, and I even grabbed some of the Confetti which had the 50th anniversary emblem on it. We worked really hard and had long hours, but it was a cool experience. Sometimes as tough as the job is being in TV has it's perks.;)

It was great!!! Like I said not a huge fan, but it was awesome to be part of the 50th anniversary!
