Who is the Palo specialist? We did a girls only in the big room on our doouble dip in 2006. It was a lot of fun.

Keep warm up there.

Have a great Wednesday.

I know spring is around the corner but it sure doesn't feel like it.

We are in for another winter storm tomorrow night and no where in the next 7 days does it look like it will get above 30.

It better be hot this summer.

We were awakened this morning by a phone call from the School System's Automatic Call Service. Schools were closed due to the weather. I was thinking "man, I don't want to drive in the snow." Well I get outside and there is no snow and no ice. Just a light dusting here and there. It is still snowing, but not really bad. I am guessing that they are using the "weather" as an excuse to close as they are just shy of the % of absences necessary to close school for the flu. Matt is at home doing the Happy Dance (i.e. glued to the PS3 and Wii)

If you are ever in South Florida during the spring, you really sure go to spring training. It is a lot of fun. The parks are smaller and the players will come out and take pictures and sign autographs. One spring we followed the Yankees and red Sox around. It's too hard to get tickets in their parks but you can catch them as an away team. DH loved the Toronto park cause they sell canadian beer! The boys were younger and had a blast. Especially since we are a split household.

Robin- Snow in Nashville? It's only 41 here so I guess anything is possible and it was so nice last week end.

Welcome frome Snowy State of Maine. Last night we had another 9 inches. Im getting sick of it.
As far as Parlo's Joan Mary gave some dates to call so we could go together.
We arn't sure what seating we have I think they have assinged us as first seating but we didn,t really request it? maybe we can get it changed. Do you know if we can Joan?
If Nancy or I call you at work would that be hindering your work? Let me know and Nanc will give you a call.

Dan, you and me both! We had to get a bobcat in to move the snow mountains as I couln't plow them back enough any longer, they were much bigger than the truck, it's 1979 all over again. Hopefully it'll all go away soon!

Our doorbell rang at 430am this morning. It was the neighbor lady, she was plowed in during the night and got stuck. Hubby had to pull her out. Of course this happens just as I had fallen asleep. I had been tossing and turning since midnight. I have a not so nice cold.

 Mandy - nothing worse than just getting some rest and then something like that happens. A great big :thumbsup2 to your DH for being a good neighbor.

Hey everybody,

We just got back to our house a little bit ago after our quick trip to WDW. I felt really tired both days due to lack of sleep before and during the trip. We went out Sat night bowling with my co workers for my and my friend Alicia's bday and didn't get home until 330am Sunday. Got up at 8am Sunday for work. Went to bed around midnight Monday and had to be up at 4am to get ready to leave for the airport. So going to WDW I only had about 8 hours of sleep in two days. We took Amanda's boss(Sally) with us, so Amanda and I shared a full size bed. Too Pooh sized people in a little bed! Not much sleeping! :scared: Now back to what a wonderful time we had.

Arrived at Port Orleans Riverside around 12pm. Check in was smooth. Our room was ready, so we dropped off the luggage and off we went. Magic Kingdom was our first stop. First stop-City Hall for a bday pin for me. We were checking out the times on the board and the cast member Matthew noticed my bday pin and gave me a pass for one ride so that we didn't have to stand in line as the wait for the etickets rides was 70 min. long. We choose first to due Pirates then used the pass on Big Thunder Mountain. By the time we finished those rides it was time for our Crystal Palace lunch. Service was bad. We didn't receice our drinks until we were finished with our cold plates and getting our hot food. The characters didn't interact with us much. It might have been because we were three adults. But we did get some pictures. From there we went to DHS (which will always be MGM to me)
Star Tours, Great Movie Ride and Rock n Roller Coaster - no wait.
Epcot was next. Walked in the back door. First stop France. Grey Goose slushie-yummy. Found a great spot in Morroco for Illuminations. After that we walked to BCV and boarded the bus for Downtown. Did a little shopping, then back to our resort. By the time we went to bed it was 1230am. That was a long day!
Tuesday morning, slept in to about nine. Then went for breakfast at the resort. Amanda and Sally left about 1145 for their meeting and I took a nap. When they got back, we left for AK. Walked on Everest. Did the Bats, Tigers and Deer. Hightailed past the parade to Africa for the Sarfari, to find out the sarfari was shut down due to technical difficulties. What could that have been :confused3 So we off to Dawa for adult beverages. Got on the Sarafari-no wait. As it was close to closing time, the animals were really active. So not one, but two Cheetahs! WOW!! Next up Epcot!

Sorry this is so long, but I am trying to use you guys as a guniea pigs in case I ever want to write a trip report...

I forgot to write that it was raining buckets when we got off the Sarfari!!
Hopped the bus to Epcot. Walked through the front so at least Sally could see it. We didn't have time for attractions due to the 715 adr in Italy. We got the the new Italy resturant. It was only about a 10 minute wait once we checked in. Our server Ceasar was great. The food was amazing! I highly recommend this place. After dinner, we went to Soarin'. No wait. Sally loved it. Back to the resort after that.

Today we got up at 545 am (Sally had 7am Magical Express). We called bell services to pick us up at 630. It didn't happen. We made the long walk to the front and got her all checked in. Amanda & I didn't communicate our plan well, so I went to guest relations and to get our bill and let them know we were out of our room. I wasn't suppose to check us out as Amanda wanted to go back to the room because we weren't leaving the resort until around 830 for MK. So we had breakfast at the resort. After that we waited for the bus to MK (20 min). I didn't realize what time it was when we got there and we had a 45 minute wait for the park to open. When we got there, we were the second family to approach the turnstiles that didn't have breakfast adr. The family before us got to ride the train with the characters to open the park. Amanda was not happy that. When the parked open, we headed for Tomorrowland. Buzz Lightyear- no wait. Then Space Mountain, again no wait. Then back to Downtown for more shopping. Around 1145 we left DTD for the resort. Did some shopping at the resort. Then lunch. After lunch it was time for our Magical Express. Now we are back to the cold and snow. Thanks for reading all this!

Good morning everyone!

:love:Happy Valentine's Day!

Annette - sounds lke you and Amanda had a fun, but short trip. Thanks for sharing!

I'm off to work a little early. Some of the senior manages and I made little goody bags for everyone in the company and I'm heading in to put them on everyones' desks before they get in.

Dan,

Keep youearly dinner- I know you guys like that. We should just book the same time at palo's and we can sit together.

happy Valentines all.

A & A- sounds like you had a great but quick trip.

I hope all you snow bound people get some relief. It was below freezing here today. Funny to see all the neighbors scraping windows with credit cards!!!! We don't own any ice scrappers any more. I just went out early and warmed it up.

Have a great Thursday.

Hi all,

I have a dilema, I don't want any one here to know so I thought I ould ask my internet buddies.

In 2004 the company I worked for was bought out by Gaylord Ent(Grand old Opry). In 2005 they decided to move the accounting Dept from florida to nashville. So we were all laid off. I actually went to Nashville for two weeks to train all our replacements. Well in 2007 gaylord sold it again and they have moved the accounting dept back down here. Well they have been struggling since then. So Wednesday I get a call wanting to know if I would come back. So today I have an interview for my old job-----is that possible?

I am not sure I want to get back in the big corporate world. I love this job, but with the market who can tell how long we will be here. At the last job I killed myself for them. Here I work 7-4 and am out of here. No stress, no hassle and I really like the people.

So what do you think? I am going to interview and see what they offer. I would love any opinions.

Joanne,
Seems to me you know what's in store if you do get the job. Make them give you a huge salary. You've got nothing to lose. Here's a little magic to inspire you. :wizard:

Hmm... it really is your decision, but I do have exactly one question to maybe help you decide.

How hard will the work be to let you enjoy the increase in salary or benefits? In other words are you going to come home so burned out that all your time will be spent in just unwinding/re-energizing from the hard workday? You need to see what kind of balance it strikes - there is a point that the dollar figure becomes irrelevant if you don't have anything left at the end of the workday.

That's exacting what I swore I would never do again- work so hard and not enjoy what's around. I will let you know how it goes.

Joannel,

That is one of the reason why when i lost my paying job in July i decided to stay with the company i work for and take the commission only position. I love the fact that i can enjoy life and dont have to worry every time there is a change in mgt that i could lose my job. Let us know what you decide and good luck with the interview. When they offer you the job if the enviroment is not what you are looking for you can always say no.

Amanda

Did anyone who was on the member cruise last year and bought more points receive the Huge Etched Glass Dish yet?
