I have just changed my family's vacation to this DCL sailing and thought
I may introduce ourselves to your group.
We have sailed on the magic before (5 times in the last 2 yrs) and are
looking forward to our 6th time.
We live in Northern Virginia (about 20 miles from Washington DC) and have
lived here on and off for 30+ years.

Welcome. I will add you to the roster. If you read post 978 it will explain what information that is being collected for the roster. Also some about some of our plans. I will provide more info later but my bed is calling me now. Night

DMIL is doing better. She just gets trampled on by her other kids and grandkids. They move in and out with her and don't respect her or her house. Kevin had a nice long talk with her and she knows she needs to put her foot down. I felt so bad for her because they only do it because she is so nice and wants to help everyone. I hope it gets better soon, thanks for the thoughts.

I am SO ready for this cruise! Dh and I are having major withdrawals. We haven't cruised OR been to WDW since lasted September.

Hey all we are fresh back from the pirates 3 premier in Disneyland!!!!! I have tons of pics being developed, but my son got to meet Johnny Depp in New Orleans Square and got his picture with him. #1. He is very small maybe 5 foot 6. Very small frame, very soft spoken, and was very nice to my son. We met: Orlando Bloom (Super nice guy!), Naomie Hariss (Tia Dalma), Janice Dickinson, Ian Zering, Mark Cooper, Mark Lawerence, Kyle Massey, Tommy Lee, Keith Richards, Geoffrey Rush, Bill Nighy, Jerry Bruckheimer, Gore Verbinski, The president of the Disneyland Resort, We got to see and take pics of Roy DIsney ( I actually cried), Kobe Bryant, Johnny Depp for the 2nd time, Leeza Gibbons, Wilmer Valderama, Cheetah Girls, And YES Barbossa Aka Geoffrey Rush walked the red carpet with "Jack" The monkey who was in his little pirate costume. I will post pics very soon. On another note....One more day closer to the cruise, and meeting all of you!!!!

PIT... Im sitting on pins and needles waiting for the answer if we get AP tickets to the new Nemo ride at DL. I should know that answer by the end of the month... since I requested the tickets for the 7th! It gives me only 6 days to find a cheap hotel accross the street from DL.
Im in so need of a mini vacation... just to tie me over till the cruise

****We got a great deal at Carousel Inn and Suites directly accross the street seriously 5 minute walk. I think for 3 nights we paid $402.89 Book online for the cheaper rate. It was clean and nice and we booked last week, and stayed Fri. - Sun.

Mcourtney- We checked on rates for a 4 day cruise for mid june 07. $2500. NO THANKYOU! I couldn't believe they were charging $400 more for a 4 day than a 7 day. INSANE.

We are currently in Macon, Georgia area heading to Miami, FL. Oh, how nice it would be to break down somewhere near.....oh.......I don't know.........ORLANDO! I don't think our company would believe us, they know we are Disney nuts!

I was sent down by my job for meetings in West Hollywood last Tuesday - Thursday. I told my boss there was the premier of Pirates 3 in Disneyland that Saturday, and how bad I wanted to go. Lucky for me I have a great boss who said "Well if your going, so am I". So I asked her if I could fly in my Son and my Mom since my husband had to work, and she said yes. So We went into Anaheim on Thursday Night. On Friday afternoon my mom arrived with my son, and into the park we went. About then my bosses daughter and husband arrived as well. And about 8p.m. in new orleans square we just got off pirates, and were waiting by the pieces of 8 store, when out comes Johnny Depp from CLub 33. He was trying not to be seen , keeping his head down, and back to us all. But My bosses duaghter got a look at him and whispered to me "Oh My God that's JOhnny Depp right there". Sure enough by then everyone was surrounding him and he looked nervous. He was telling people to please let him go, he can't sign autographs, no pictures please. Then my favorite he said he was his stuntman, and to please leave him alone. But I figured I'd give it a shot. As the Disney people were wisking him by, I touched his arm and said "Johnny, my son is a huge fan of yours, it would mean the world to him to meet you". ANd he stopped and smiled at me, and bent down to him and said "Hey buddy, what's your name?" My son was so starstruck, he just starred at him. So I told him "His name is Johnny, just like yours". Then I said is there any way you would take a picture with him, no one will ever believe this"? To my surprise he said "Sure". And there you have it. We met Johnny Depp. Right after the picture they wisked him thru a door and he was gone. And we had a lot of angry teenage girls around us, yelling "Why would he stop for that kid and not us". Oh well, at least we have the picture. The next night at the premier we also video tapped him, and got his autograph. He is very nice, soft spoken, and little. Maybe 5 foot 6. Very nice guy.

I got a stupid sinus infection, nasal cavity infection and the infection made it's way into my upper gums. So I finally meet him, and looked like crap. I don't think he cared, he only paid attention to my DS. Well here's the picture. Enjoy.

I read on some 2 year old menus that Palos also served lobster the same night but it was broiled instead of the way they served it in the regular dining rooms.
Do you know if that is still true?

I read that too Bill.
The lobster is listed as baked lobster tail served with lemon butter with green beans and baked rice. I prefer my lobster broiled.

A CM spent a few days with us a few weeks ago and she said that the menus were the same before she left for vacation. They will also have some changes while they are in the Med. So there might be a slight change using some of the Med's menus.

Hi all! We are currently in.......get ready for it............MIAMI, FLORIDA! It is BEAUTIFUL here today, slightly overcast, but breezy and nice. I took our pooch for a walk earlier and enjoyed it thoroughly. We will be here until about 4pm so we will enjoy the sunshine all afternoon. Ironically, where we are is RIGHT across the street from the Carnival Cruise main headquarters. Wish it was Disney! I could toss a stone and hit the building, we are so close.

All this talk about Lobster and what night is what got me thinking too! What night are we going to do Palo? Kevin and I discussed it and we are thinking pirate night. That way we can still go to the show, dinner, and then the pirate paprty. I love being in the dining room on pirate night but the menu is not the best IMO. So that's what we are thinking. I have been dreaming about the palo souffle since last September. Love that stuff!

Well, I'll check back in in a little while to see if anyone posts, as I will be online most of the afternoon. Have a great afternoon!

We are visiting family in Tampa but will be driving over to Typhoon Lagoon this Friday for a little fun in the sun to be followed by dinner at Boma. Yum! I need my Disney-fixx! This should tide me over until the cruise. (pun intended)

Have fun Stina! We drove through Orlando last night on the way to Miami and I got a little teary eyed! I want so badly to go to WDW. It was really cool last night too. Would've been a great night to watch Wishes. Ahhhhhhhh, September where are you..........

Yeah yeah yeah, rub it in...lol.
That is our dream to move to Florida someday when we no longer have to worry about working.
