What am I missing here? I've never gotten anything for free when it comes to WDW but I can't see or think of any catches... we're going in July and with the trainwreck of Genie+ I'm thinking this is a nice plan B if we cannot deal with the new system. Do they not value their waterparks anymore? :confused3

Did your dates change? If you moved from more expensive to less expensive dates, it could happen.
Just lock it in before they notice!😁

Nope... I did move from June to July when the maiden voyage of the Wish was pushed out, but that was a few weeks ago (and also was a $0 change).

I just looked at ours for August and we have the 10 day hopper. It is $60 more total for the three of us to add the plus option. We will be there for 12 days with 10 day park hoppers. If we switch to plus, can we go to the water parks on our two non park days? Is the mini golf admission valid for the fairways more difficult course as well?

Yes, you could go to one of the waterparks, OR a miniature golf course before 4pm OR have a round at Oaks Trail on those days. You could also go on one of your park days as well if you wanted, a 10 day hopper would get 10 entries.

Just adding to this. Unless they’ve changed it, you get 10 entries and you can use more than one a day. So you could do say a water park AND mini-golf (before 4) on an off day.

It is possible that the July tickets were less expensive---Disney does not give you a refund when you make that change. But, you retain the credit for what you paid, and if that credit is more than then $30ish it costs to go from PH to PHP, that would explain it.

That was a great suggestion...! I went back and looked, my original dates were $647.29 and the new dates are saying $649.66. We did originally buy our tickets at some point in 2019 and I've moved them six (!!!) times now... I'm certain I paid less than they're charging for them today originally, and the first four changes all cost $50-100 each time as we kept pushing them back. Maybe they decided to throw me a bone? :tilt:

My guess is that one of these changes were to dates that were more expensive than the new tickets, and you have accumulated enough credit to cover them.

You nailed it; tickets in March are far more expensive, even with the upgrade we're leaving money on the table apparently. Clearly Disney isn't forthright about it - I think someone mentioned getting the remainder on a gift card if we call maybe? Is that common practice?
