ºoº "Epcot's Candlelight Processional 2005 F.A.Q. & Information,let's share our info.

DW got the following for us.

5:00 CP
8:00 Rose & Crown (shooting for the patio)

We just booked yesterday for dec 24
6:45 show
8:15 dinner japan

6:45 show dinner at 8:15 at mitsukoshi teppanyaki.

I just booked today.

I got the 6:45 show on Sunday 12/11 with a 4:30 dinner at Rose & Crown.

Can't wait! The trip is for my birthday which is on 12/9, my recovery from reconstructive knee surgery, and it's just DH and I! :cool1:

I'm getting impatient :rolleyes1 Dec 22-27 still shows as "OPEN". Who's it going to be? Should we start a *wish* list? :goodvibes

I called yesterday, got the time, day and restaurant that I wanted, with no problem...CP at 6:45pm on November 28th with dinner at Alfredo's at 8:15pm. I asked about the week of Christmas and was told it was still "open".

Has anyone ever been able to meet the guest speaker? (sorry if this has been asked and answered-I didn't read the whole thread  )
We will be there when Haley Joel Osmet will be there and I know my kids would like to meet him.

We have 4:40 reservations at LeCellier on 12/6. Does anyone have an opinion on if we can eat, see the tree lighting at 6pm and make the 6:45 showing of the candlelight processional?

Thanks :flower:

We have 4:30 ressies at Biergarten, then will do the 6:45 CP. Here's the question, is it possible to go out the back, get on the water taxi to MGM, and have time for the Osborne family lights as well? Is MGM open that late on 12/7? I'm taking 8 people pre-cruise to DW who have never seen either the CP or the lights, and I'm hoping to jam it all in that evening. If it's not possible, I'll just forego the lights.

MGM closes at 7:00p that night.

I think you'd be cutting it a little too close. They will probably start seating for that 6:45 showing at around 6:15. If you watching the tree lighting and then have to walk all the way to the back of WS to the theater, you might not get in at all!

Thanks! We would really like to see CP but I'm not sure our boys (5 & 3) will really sit thru it. So if we make it great; if not then we will try and catch it next year :teeth:

Thanks again :flower:

We are going to the processional (dinner package) on Friday December 16th. I chose the 5PM show with dinner at LeCellier at 7PM. Figuring by the time dinner was over we would go find a spot for illuminations. Does anyone know of a good spot in Canada to view Illuminations? Has anyone gone to the 5pm candlelight processional? Is it as beautiful at 5pm as it is when it is darker? Any thoughts on better times?

Thanks eveyone :disrocks:

We always go to the 5pm show because we like to have dinner after, at around 7 (like you! :teeth: )

The show is still beautiful, and the sun starts to set as you're watching, which kind of adds to the beauty, I think. Don't worry!

Where is a good spot to view Illuminations in Canada or United Kingdom? We will be at the 5PM candlelight processional then we will have dinner at Lecellier at 7PM. I figured after dinner we would find a spot to view Illuminations. Any help would be appreciated.

I am also going to attempt to "see it all" at Epcot (Wed 11/30) - or at least try to as long as DS (20 months) lasts (though I'm trying not to have too high of expectations)! Ray Sharpton posted earlier in this thread about going to the tree lighting and then taking a friendship boat across the lagoon and trying to get in for the 6:45 CP. He didn't have young kids though!

We have late lunch ressies at Nine Dragons (3:45) - to serve as an early dinner. Then we'll go to the Character Tree Lighting, as I'm pretty sure DS will like that. Then we'll try the boat across and try to make it in the standby line for the Candlelight Processional (a lot of people seemed to be avoiding the Phil Donahue shows, so maybe it won't be super crowded). If we don't get in, it's no big deal.

*Questions: I read that you hear the earlier show while standing in line for the later shows. If we don't get into the theater, can you hear it from anywhere around the area or just really close? I thought if we can't get a seat, we could maybe get a bite to eat and sit near the American pavilion and at least listen to it. Does that sound doable?

The big IF is IF DS is hanging in there, and we make it through the CP (in or out of the theater), I'd kind of like to try to see Illuminations, but that's not till 9:30. If he doesn't make it, and we get out of Epcot early enough, I thought maybe we could take the monorail to MK and try to catch Wishes. It's one of only 2 probable nights that it will be early at 8:00. I know it's off-original-topic, but...

*Questions: When entering MK by monorail, where do you show your tickets for admission to MK? Can you get off the monorail there but not enter the park (we will have hopper passes, so it's not that huge of a deal, but wondering)? Would you be able to hear the music for Wishes there? If the park is scheduled to close at 8:00 and Wishes is at 8:00, how late will they let you enter? Is it likely to be mobbed just inside the park entrance - can you see well from there?

If we don't get to see/hear CP and/or see Illuminations and Wishes, it's not the end of the world, I'd just really like to see them if possible - otherwise I guess there's always next time (if there is a next time during a Christmas season). I'm hoping DS will make it till the 9:15 Christmas Wishes when we do the MVMCP. I have one more afternoon/evening as a possible Epcot day, and we could try to make the 5:00 CP then if we want to.

Thanks for any advice and answers (and for reading my long-winded post)! The DIS boards have been SOOOO helpful - both for info and for an outlet for my Disney excitement!!! :Pinkbounc (I made my ADR's last night, and finally got DH to listen to my current tentative outline schedule! He's just not as into it!)

If you're going to try to catch Wishes, may I suggest you take the monorail to the Contemporary and view it from the 4th floor observation deck? The view is fantastic, they pipe the sound in so you really get the full effect with lots less people! Might be something to consider rather than the crowds at MK. :goodvibes
