Any word yet on who is replacing Gary Sinese?

No, darn it! I called on Wednesday to book my CP package for 12/22 and they know nothing. They said that Gary Sinese was never confirmed for the this year and they have never had anyone lined up for those dates. I'm dying to know though because 12/22 is the only night CP will fit in my schedule so I'm stuck with whoever is there!

Speaking of 12/22, I made ressies for the 5:00 pm CP and then dinner at Le Cellier at 7:50 pm. It's not what I originally wanted but I have warmed up to it now. I wanted late CP and early dinner at Le Cellier but it was a no-go. I'm glad to hear that you at least get the effect of the sunset at the 5:00 pm show.

I believe our night is also the 22nd - only night we could do it too. We are having dinner at China at 5:15 and then have the 8:15 CP (without pulling out my information and looking at exact times.)

'I just got off the phone with Disney and they advise me that Jim Caviezel will now be the Narrator on Dec 22,23,24. Jackie Velasquez will be the narrator on Dec 7,8,and9, and John Stamos will be the narrator on the 25th, 26th and 27th!'

I am really thinking of cancelling my CP reservation. I changed my whole itinerary to see Jim C on Dec. 7th.

Anyone else think they may cancel?

I called. That information is correct. Who is Jackie Velasquez and why would I want to hear her? Is everything else about candlelight worth spending twice as much money for a meal than if we just went with an ADR and ate at the same restaurant?

We can cancel up to 48 hours in advance, so plenty of time to hopefully have Gary Sinese decide he can come afterall and put him there instead! LOL

Yes, that would be a suitable replacement, but I think I will talk to my DH tonight and see what he wants to do.

Ok, isn't John Stamos the guy who played Jesse on Full House? I guess I get him, then. I really wish Gary Sinise had decided to come, but at least my kids know who John Stamos is...I guess the "story" is the "story" no matter who tells it.
Besides, I'm really there for the music and the pageantry, not so much to see a celebrity.

Yes, but the story will still be the story if I read it and it won't cost $110. To me, I was going specifically because of who was going to be reading it. Maybe this singer won't be able to fulfill her commitment and someone else will be there. I'm going to wait and see before I go and cancel it. I wanted 8:00pm Rose & Crown ADR and can only get it with the CP package, at this point.

I decided to cancel my Dec. 7th and go on Dec. 5th, I was torn between Cicely Tyson and Jim Caviezel anyways so now I'll go to see Cicely. I don't want to see Eartha Kitt, saw her last year and did not enjoy her performance at all.

I am going to cancel my reservation for 12/08,I am doing 2 other CP packages but was making a special trip back to see Jim Caviezel after I change to a Universal resort but now I will definetely cancel this reservation(I really wish John Stamos was his replacement).I already had cancelled one CP package and I had no problem getting my CC credited so as long as you cancel within 48 hours you should not have any problems

UGH!!
I changed my schedule to see Caviezel on the 7th! My first reaction was to cancel, but by now, I have ADRs all the other nights that it wouldn't make a difference. The plans are together with another family, so they are not that easy to change!

Why do they do this to us?

I am the original poster of the information about the new narrrator schedule. Not a rumor...the information had just come out when I called and I posted it on two DIS boards. I now have a choice between John Stamos and Steven Curtis Chapman. Think I am going with John because we all know who he is. I am unfamiliar with the other person. Did anyone see him last year ?

BOO! I love love love Jaqi Valesquez (beautiful, talented youg Christian artist) and my Dsis loves her even more.

And John Stamos, that would have been a treat as well!

Why oh why aren't OUR dates switching around?! Bummer.

If you're going to try to catch Wishes, may I suggest you take the monorail to the Contemporary and view it from the 4th floor observation deck? The view is fantastic, they pipe the sound in so you really get the full effect with lots less people! Might be something to consider rather than the crowds at MK.

In the same boat here... considering canceling and going back to my original plan of CP on Monday the 5th... what to do! what to do!

why didnt they just put Jaqi Valesquez in the Gary Sinise spot and leave the rest alone? I have decided since Jim C was the main reason for doing the CP dinner package, that I will cancel.

Before I cancel I will post here first if anyone would like to try to get my reservation.
I had a table for 2 at LeCellier at 4:00 for the 8:15 show.
