    Pre-Park Opening ADR party size?

Thanks for the heads up on the one year old needing a reservation! Is this the case with every dining reservation we make, or just BOG? I hadn’t even thought about him needing to be accounted for since he’s still in a high chair, but maybe it’s for an accurate count for fire codes or something...

    Pre-Park Opening ADR party size?

Hello, everyone! I unexpectedly managed to snag an 8:05 ADR for Be Our Guest on a day the park opens at 9:00. We’re excited about maybe snagging some semi-empty park castle photos with our 1-year-old to mimic those taken on our honeymoon 7 years ago! The only problem? The reservation is only...

Goodbye Wishes! Hello Happily Ever After!

I just about started bawling with the Lion King "Remember....." overlaid onto "I Can Go the Distance." I was glad to see Hercules continue to get so much love--those intro trumpets are just made for a big fireworks show.

    Jiko or Artist Point?

Jiko and Artist Point were our two favorites restaurants of our trip! I'd recommend Artist Point if you love salmon--it was by far the best salmon I've ever had. We also loved the mushroom soup and thought the berry cobbler was great. Jiko was great for trying some flavors/spices a bit...

A TS newbie takes on ADRs & TiW for 10 days of Disney Dining COMPLETE

I love the big comfy seat in movie theaters like that! I like to curl up when I'm watching a movie, and I feel like I'm at home! That's odd that your server checked in/had you pay during the movie--in my experience at similar places, you've always prepaid either before entering the theater or...

Question about in-park character meals before park opens

We did pre-park opening breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace in MK last year, and I was so glad we did! We were able to take pictures in a rather empty park AND we were able to walk on to Space Mountain because we were done eating by Rope Drop. :) Have fun!

    Upgrading free dining.

You can upgrade your dining plan to a more expensive plan for a fee. Another post on the boards gave this info: Quick Service to Regular Adult: $19.02 per night Child: $3.13 per night Quick Service to Deluxe Adult: $65.30 per night Child: $13.76 per night Regular to Deluxe Adult: $46.28...

I Will NEVER Eat At _______ In WDW Again!!

Tutto Italia. It wasn't terrible, but for the price ($26 for a rather dull bowl of pasta), it should have been much better than it was. My husband was really looking forward to the lasagna, but thought it was only so-so. We've enjoyed meals at Olive Garden just as much or more. Our service...

Moderate Vs. Deluxe - Delayed Honeymoon

Congratulations on 7 years of marriage and your upcoming honeymoon! We honeymooned at Disney last summer and loved it. I don't know what your budget looks like, but here are my thoughts. We chose to stay in a moderate resort (Coronado Springs, we got a preferred King room in the Casitas...

wilderness lodge 60$ more than Por? Is it that much better?

I'm glad you're going to try it! If nothing else, it will be fun to do something different, and you can always go back to POR for your next visit. :)

    We finally pulled the plug!

My husband and I are 23 and we don't have cable either, mostly to save money. We got an antenna so we could pick up local channels, so we get all the basics. If there's something I REALLY want to see on cable I can go to our campus gym, which is super swanky and has TVs in the elliptical...

    Which moderate???

I'd go with POR, personally. CBR is a little outdated, as others have said, and can be quite spread out. I think it might seem like a step down in comparison to your previous stay at CSR. I think POR is adorable, and the grounds are awesome. You can use the pools at both POR an POFQ.

Those with HS kids that do not have a p/t job..

I'm 23, for a time/perspective reference. When I first started high school my I asked my parents for money as I needed it--$20 for food for a weekend tennis tournament, $10 to go to the movies with friends, etc. Within a couple of months my parents decided to give me $50/month to cover...

Dinner @ Be Our Guest - Told Food Is Bad!

Like others, we enjoyed lunch, and the theming inside the restaurant was a big draw for me, as Beauty and the Beast was my favorite movie growing up. Maybe consider switching your dinner ADR for lunch?

    At Coronado and love it!

We honeymooned at CSR and loved it! It's such a beautiful resort. I think we had a preferred room (or maybe just got lucky) in the casitas, so our walk was probably shorter than most, but we often walked around the resort in the evenings anyway just to enjoy the view!

    Holy Crap!! Tux Rental

It really is shocking how little some people think about the cost to their bridal party. My best friend was recently in a wedding where her bridesmaid dress was $300 (and quite ugly, not something one could rewear), shoes were another $100, and she also had to pay for own hair and for a hotel...

Any PIN codes out right now?

This may just be coincidence, but I hadn't gotten any pin codes since signing up for a Disney account in prep for our honeymoon last May. Yesterday I priced out a couple of trips, thinking ahead for F&W, and I got a pin today (the same up to 30% off room and free Park Hopper upgrade others have...

Did Anyone Actually Save Money Using the Dining Plan?

Another important piece that often gets left out of the discussion is TIPS. You may be getting more "money's worth" out of a dining plan in that you get appetizers or desserts or more expensive entrees than you might get if you were paying OOP, but you'll also be responsible for the tip on...

If money was not an issue,

I think it would depend a bit on the time of year. For F&W, definitely a Club Level Yacht Club Suite. For other times of year I'd love to stay in an AKL Grand Villa. Love those savannah views!
