    No towel animals for us

Last time we were at DW, we camped at FW, so it's been a while since we got towel animals. Two things: 1. People are taking these home?!? :rolleyes2 2. I rather prefer the ones that we used to get, without the eyes and glue and stuff. It was just a cool way to present your bath towel...

    Fort Wilderness Haunted Wagon Ride?

I'm curious if the dates listed are set in stone ...I had planned for us to do this, but the 14th is our last night and I was saving it for MNSSHP. :confused3 Oh well...it seems a little pricey for a half hour.

    ? about hidden mickeys

I like the idea of taking pictures of them. I plan on doing the same with my digital camera. You might try searching the web for other lists of hidden mickeys. I only browsed the book, but it left out some of the ones that I remember seeing.

    DisneyQuest

There was one ride...I think Aladdin's Flying Carpets, which is a 3D ride where you put on a helmet and watch the screen in your helmet. That ride did me in. And I rarely get motion sickness. It was at the end of our trip though, so being tired was probably part of the problem.

    Dilemma: Cirque, MSSHP, or both?

I really need to contribute more to other threads. :earboy2: We have 5 nights. Actually, we're definitely doing MNSSHP, I'm just trying to figure out if I should try to fit in Cirque as well. I know I will LOVE IT! (I've seen Quidam), but we have two newbies in our party, and willl...

    Tips on not going commando...

Thanks for all the advice, and I'm glad you enjoyed my gaff. :p I entirely forgot that we picked DW as our vacation spot because it is accomodating to everyone. I guess when I got started on the planning, I started to panic about fitting it all in. But it really is the atmosphere that draws...

    Tips on not going commando...

In the past, we've only gone commando. But this trip, we have a vacationer who's got a bad knee. I'd like to keep the walking and standing in line at a minimum. Do y'all have any good tips? So far, I'm going to focus on getting us there early, and taking a long afternoon break. Also, maybe...

uk school holls a rip of

We have the same issues with school holidays here in the US. We don't get fined for taking the kids out of school, but it is looked down on, and can be hard for the kids to miss the info. What can you do? It's a tough decision. We're taking our kids out of school for 4 days and accepting the...

How big are the sites at FW?

So, with a bigger rig, do you recommend reserving a full site rather than preferred?

Trailer storage rental? Help? - OR security in unfenced yard??

Well, nothing except for the trailer hitch lock. :teeth: It's not much concern to me, I guess. We stored it in our driveway by the alley for 5 years, and no one messed with it. There is the possibility of vandalism, but that's a risk I'm willing to live with (and it's not that common around...

Trailer storage rental? Help? - OR security in unfenced yard??

We stored ours in our driveway for 5 years... it was a tight fit getting into the garage, but eh, what can you do. :p You can get a lock for the hitch part...I think it's called a trailer hitch lock and it costs around $30. We've got them on both the boat and the camper. Also, what we're...

    Can Anyone Answer this Question

Maybe they are reserved, but the people reserving them had a change of schedule? We haven't been camping at Fort Wilderness yet, but we do go camping at the lake quite a bit. Often my husband's work schedule will change at the last minute, and we miss a night or two of camping. And since we...

    child sexually molested in orlando

I, for one, don't hold the parents fully responsible. The child was 12 years old, and he was just in the elevator. You have to let them be independent eventually, and I'm in the camp that slowly lets them build confidence by going out on their own. It's tragic, it could happen anywhere, and I...

More people going to DW this year?

We were at the bookstore last night (waiting for Harry Potter ;), and browsing through the Unofficial Guide. I was excited to see the Crowd Level Calendar that guesses the Crowd Level for each day of 2005, and that on a scale of 1-10, every day of our trip had a 2. :goodvibes Now this...

    Decorate camp site December

We'll be there in October. It's our first time in FW, so I don't really know what to expect. I'm planning on bringing our regular Halloween decorations, esp. the blinky ones that stick in the window. I'd guess that for Christmas, there will be a lot of those blow-up, light-up decorations...

    2 Bike Questions

I know that obssessive planning phase only too well! :D We're bringing in-laws who never camp, never vacation, and have never been to DW, so I'm anxious to make this a really nice trip for them. Back on topic; bicyclemark has convinced me I need a helmet. Any recommendations for helmets for a...

    Which ticket would you buy?

Yes, it made perfect sense. ::yes:: And thank you for adding it up; I think I needed some one to say I was doing the right thing as much as I needed the math help. Woohoo! And we've never used the water parks or other perks...so it's good all around. :cool1:
