How Many Actually Dress Formal At Dinner?

We do not dress formal. My husband wears nice pants and a sweater or a nice top and I wear a nice pant outfit. We were considered actually middle of the road as there were a lot more people dressed not as nice and some dressed much nicer. We had told our waiter that we would not be there for...

$100 dollar credit per person in state room

If you book through a TA does the TA notify you or does Disney? I am hoping this is something they will continue to do as we are not sailing until December but booked 11 months in advance.

    kids' dress code for dinner

On the two cruises we went on with Disney(both ships) I would say I saw about half the kids in khaki or nicer shorts. Once we saw that, we allowed our kids to wear nice shorts except for on the more formal nights.

    Wonder compared to Magic

The only thing that was truely noticeable, and only to my 8 year old, was that the wonder did not have this certain gaming room where there was a full screen gaming program. Other than that, the nicer restaurant had a different name and theme but we really found no other differences

what time do you have to be off the boat?

I cannot remember what is the latest you have to leave? We will have quite a bit of time to kill and are not taking Disney buses to the airport. Also, I cannot remember if the buffet is open that morning for breakfast or if you have to go to the dining room. Thank so much.

    Ron Jon Deals???

Not sure when in fall you are going but I booked there without codes or discounts and got a very very low rate. I was pretty pleased with it.

    What would you do?

4 hours is not a huge amount of time...you might just want to head for the airport. They have a ton of great places to eat and shops. That is what we did for a 1pm flight.

Whats The Best 7 Night Cruise??

I went on the Eastern as well. The early morning wake up was not the greatest but it was only one day. The ports were amazing. But, that said, I would go on either one, I usually have to plan things on what the date is.

Am I the only one that does not get the appeal of the swimming pools?

My kids loved the Mickey pool(but I could not believe they did as it is so crowded). The goofy pool was very surprising to me how small it was. The pools were the only thing I was not at all impressed with.

    to verandah or not?

We had both on the same cruise. On the second day we had water leaking a tiny tiny drip from the bathroom light. I called maintance and they insisted we had to leave the room. They moved us to a verendah. My kids were 7 and 5. They actually liked the room with the window without the...

    Dinner Wear

I never wore anything nicer than capris and nice tops, even on the formal nights. Our waiter told us to come to dinner on the formal night when we told him we would not be there due to no nice clothes. He said people would be in all ranges of dress. I am glad we did not skip the meal as...

    Anybody NOT Gain Weight?

Did not gain weight, did not work out. The portions in the restaurants are not overly huge. It seems to all work out. I was worried though! My sister worked out everyday and lost a pound.

do most DCL cruisers get the insurance

We have bought the disney both times. Seemed like too big of a risk without it. I did not realize you could buy it from other places. Amazing all of the stuff I learn on these boards!:goodvibes

    Ron Jon Resort Cancellation Policy?

We are staying there after our cruise, have not stayed there yet. I do believe it was a pretty standard cancellation but I am not sure. I do know that they are not the easiest to get ahold of. Either no one answers or the line is busy. I did finally get someone though, not on weekends.

    upgrades...how does it happen?

Ok, so getting to the pier early has no advantages in an upgrade? You are either already plugged for one when you get there or not? Did not get one on our last cruise and did not even know that they existed.

    upgrades...how does it happen?

Do you need to be in a specific category for an upgrade? We are in category nine. I had not realized you could get an upgrade until I saw people discussing it here. Do you need to let Disney know you are interested or does it just happen?:confused3

    complimentary upgrade

Do you have the opportunity to be automatically upgraded no matter what category you are in? Or when you book do you have to be in a specific category? I remember them saying something about this. Do you need to call and ask?
