Swine Flu - General Discussion and how it affects Disney

Not exactly... "Michigan's first case of the H1N1 virus was confirmed Wednesday. A 34-year-old woman in Livingston County who returned last week from a vacation in Texas was recovering at home from the H1N1 virus. Livingston County is 45 miles northwest of Detroit. Health officials said...

What are the crowds like this week?

I'm not shoving an opinion on anyone. I'm commenting on a subject being discussed. It's what's done on a discussion board... Whatever, it's no big deal. Let me know when we start to talk about the "I'm with the Retard" or "My Kid's an AIDS Patient" shirts–that'll be really funny:rotfl2...

What are the crowds like this week?

A little sensitive today, eh? By the way, I'm fine, thanks–I really didn't need your help. Things are going pretty well for me today. I'm generally as far from a PC individual as you'll ever find. That said, regardless of the degree that the media may be hyping the story, there is a very...

What are the crowds like this week?

This entire thread thus far is quite disturbing. I'm disappointed to see that so many of you think a potentially deadly disease is something to joke about. Classy, folks!

    Wait times?

We were there from the 11th through the 17th. For the most part, with the exception of Soarin' and TSMM, most attractions were walk-on (or pretty darn near it). Some exceptions, of course, but for the most part actual wait times were AT LEAST half as short as the posted times. Rode TSMM 5...

Easiest way to get to Hess station...

Thanks folks! I'd say that looks pretty darn "walkable"...

Easiest way to get to Hess station...

Regarding the Hess stations... How "walkable" is the location near DTD? Are there crosswalks? Traffic signals?

Football on TV: where to watch a game?

During my September trip, there will be two football games I'm quite interested in catching.:happytv: Aside from the obvious (ESPN/Boardwalk, my resort room), are there any other suggestions for "in WORLD" viewing?

    September Trip - Avoid Weekends?

Looking for advice/opinions.:confused3 We're considering a 6 night - 7 day trip in mid-September. We were planning on flying in early Sunday, the 14th, with a return the following Saturday. While looking at flight prices and resort availability we have developed plan B - flying out...

    Swimming Pool hours?

I'm primarily concerned with the mods (POR/FQ and CBR) So, is it safe to assume that if I can physically "access" the pool area - and am reasonably quiet about it - I should be safe in having my moonlight swim?

    Swimming Pool hours?

In general, what are the hours of pool operation at the resorts? Also, how firm are these stated hours? In other words, if I were in serious need of a late-night dip, would I be risking sirens, bells, whistles and an escort to the main gate..?

    photo pass access expired

Photo pass access expired earlier than we thought it would. My wife didn't realize that pictures expired 30 days after first claimed. This wasn't explained by photo pass personnel at that time and since family accessed while we were still at WDW to see our progress the expiration came earlier...

What has anyone else received from the "DREAM TEAM"

We were chosen as Grand Marshals for the Stars and Motor Cars parade at MGM - I assumed at the time that this was a "dream" as I did not realize that this was something that pre-dated the YOAMD promotion... Also, my daughter received a "dream" certificate after playing a game of "simon Says"...

    Down Town Disney Strategy

As far as restaurants are concerned: We were less than impressed with Cap'n Jacks for TS, but I strongly recommend Wolfgang Puck's Express for a Counter Service meal - two thumbs up for the Rotisserie Chicken and the Creme Brulée.

How many men are wearing crocs?

...just back from a week at the world. All but one day was spent with Crocs on my feet - feet that gave me NO problems despite an aggressive touring schedule. As far as "manliness" issues are concerned, if the subject of footwear causes you to worry about your masculinity, you might need to...
