you'd never want to live there. Name a state you've visited and now know you'd never, ever live there. What are your reasons?

For me it would be Oregon. Absolutely beautiful country but having lived most of my life in Massachusetts, I found all that empty space somewhat intimidating. It was just so BIG. :scared1:

New York and New Jersey...both stinky and crowded.

Hey! South Jersey doesn't stink!

New Orleans. It smelled like stale beer and urine. (And that wasn't even during Mardi Gras.)

LOL :) You haven't seen too much of New Jersey if you think it's crowded :)

For me it woudl be West Virginia - too dang remote for me.

California would be the place. I love the weather and I love the diversity.
Why I would not live there?
The cost of living is very high, the traffic is awful, and the EARTHQUAKES.

Arizona - it's too brown and dry.

Yeah ditto that for me too. It felt so dead there - up north is nice but from about mid state down it was too bland for me :)

Minnesota. The extreme northern area of Minnesota. Our home office/factory is in Warroad...I went stir-crazy there. It's one of those towns where if you blink, you'll miss it. I can't live in a town like that. I was only there for four days and by the second day, I'd called my husband and said, "Get me to a mall!" I hate shopping, too.

One of the guys in our group said, "If I had to live here, I'd be an alcoholic." Seriously...the only thing to do at night is go to the bar. There was a casino, though...four slot machines and a roulette table in a tent. No way...

New York City
I love to visit and would all the time, if I could get someone to go with me. I couldn't live there because its crowed and noisy.

California, Texas
I currently reside in Arizona but would love to move back to Long Island.
AZ is a lovely place to visit, it just doesn't feel like home.

Wyoming.

We drove through there and came across a drive-through cigarettes, liquor and fireworks store. And since they didn't *also* sell guns, we knew it wasn't our type of state. :lmao:

New York. Love to visit but I don't want to live there :)

Alaska....couldnt take the dark winter days.

Hawaii....I get island fever

Ahem. I think Angel and I just added someone else to our trip to visit RickNYC. Seriously, you can go with us. We've been trying to plan a day trip, but can't seem to narrow it down yet. I agree with you, too. I like visiting NYC, but couldn't live there.
