You've Been There But...

I'm in AZ right now for school, but couldn't imagine living here forever. I can't wait to go home next weekend to see the leaves change. I was also in Iowa this summer and couldn't imagine living there - it was sooo spread out!

California, Texas
I currently reside in Arizona but would love to move back to Long Island.
AZ is a lovely place to visit, it just doesn't feel like home.
What's wrong with Texas? I live here and don't want to move anywhere else. Of course this could be because all my family lives in Texas.

Indiana....Does already living here count? Seriously though,I don't want to live anywhere that isn't south of Kentucky. It's a whole different way of life in the south and I miss it :guilty:

Never said there was anything wrong w/ Texas, I just have no desire to live there, different strokes......
Several poster have indicated they wouldn't want to live in NY (I love Ny, it's my home state) I won't be rude and ask them why, I assume it's just a personal preference.

Arizona--I gotta be near water!! Must have trees!

Indiana--visited an old boyfriend at Purdue, went for a drive in the country, nothing to see except miles and miles of corn. Gotta have trees & water!

HEY,I resent that,we have miles and miles of beans to :p :rotfl:

Mississippi.

I don't mean to offend anyone who lives there. My experience is limited to the fact that from the moment we got off the interstate, a police car chose to folllow us everywhere we went, even though we were not violating any laws. He was obviously following us because we had out-of-state plates. It was weird.

Also, I am just going to go out there and say that frankly, North Dakota just doesn't do it for me.

I would have to go with areas of states 'cause there are a lot that I wouldn't discount the whole state. For instance WY. Man there is a LOT of boring scenery there (and very few Starbucks might I add which would really help while dealing with the boring scenery.) However, the Grand Teton area is awesome. Then there is CA--I grew up there and would never move back although if I could afford to live at the beach or in northern CA then that would be okey dokey.

Now, Illinois--I wouldn't live there. Basically the climate is the same as I am stuck with here but the roads are terrible and there aren't anywhere near as many trees or lakes.

For the person who didn't like MN--come to Minneapolis and St Paul before you totally write us off. I think very few people want to live in Warroad. Even the people who live there! :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: Yeah, I missed that one. Me either.

Florida! Oops...too late, I'm already here. Heat and humidity does me in. :guilty:

Nebraska:

I Hate the Wake Up Sober in Nebraska

Free Hot Lunch (Jeff Corning)

As you travel through this world
Many roads you will ride
Some are long, some are steep
Many will not treat you kind.
But the longest and most boring stretch is 500 miles
From Omaha Nebraska to that Colorado line

chorus:
I hate to wake up sober in Nebraska
The miles and miles of empty range
shake my sense of time.
So pass me up a cool one, light the pipe, turn up the stereo
It's still 5 hours more to Ogallala
And 300 miles to that Colorado line

From Omaha to Lincoln
Grand Island to Lexington
It's the flattest piece of highway
man or God has ever made
No trees to block the sunrise
no hills to mar the landscape
Except for liqour stores and truck stops
every mile looks just the same

chorus

Now if I had a beer for every time I drove I-80
I might get drunk enough to pack my bags
and leave tonight
But I'd probably wake up red-eyed
just the other side of Omaha
With a case of empty bottles (Point beer!)
and the sun about to rise

chorus

I've got Jack Daniels on the dashboard
in case my Jesus lets me down.

I would never live in Missouri. We stopped in a little town in Missouri at a gas station & DH went inside, I waited in the car. As I looked at my surroundings all I saw were pickup trucks with gun racks in them. Very scary. I can't think of many occasions when you need a gun while driving. :confused3

Ohhh, I'll trade you! I'd take heat and humidity every day over cool and overcast anytime!

I would have to say Florida. DH would say anywhere on the east coast(too many people)I think he likes to be by himself.

I've lived a lot of different places and always ended up finding SOMETHING I liked about each one.

However, I would say that California is a definite no for me. Too many people, too much traffic, ridiculous housing prices. Ick.

Oregon-I have a pretty good southern drawl. The looks and comments I got there left me with the impression that there are nothing but rude people there.

Mississippi-economy is HORRIBLE and I would DIE in the summer.

Louisiana-see Mississippi

:rotfl: I have to agree with you there. Also add ALABAMA to that list.

Nevada - would hate to see slot machines all over the place.
