Hello - can some please give me a link to the Your Ride website? I lot all my favs when my comp had a breakdown, and Google didn't find them. Thanks

I don't know if this will help you or not but i found out that rabbit has sold his comany "yourride" he only had two or three vans and may be one town car. rest of the drivers of the company are sub contractors (which means someone else or some other company is going to transport you instead) this is going on behind the scene or the inside story. I come to orlando almost every month, and limo drivers gives me the gossip! I have been using happy limo for the past five years and i am very happy. when you call to make the reservations with your ride, ask them how many cars they have and how long have they been doing business? (may be two years) rabbit who used to work as taxi driver and then worked for tiffany, finally sold the company, coz they had too many problems and also got kicked off this dis site i believe... also try mousesavers.com for discounts.

alpha..
Before you start to talk about something you don't know any about "CHECK IT OUT FIRST"
I also told all of our Clint's that I used driver that own there own cars! Happy Limo also has so many BAD reviews that they can't get on the BBB.And 2nd. Happy Limo does use sud contractors because they us the same drivers that I was us back then.
Have a nice day...

Rabbit,

Apparently you are the one that NEEDS TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK because your quote below was totally inaccurate.

Alpha
You do "YOUR HOME WORK" Happy dose use sub contractors like all of the other Company's in Orlando do! NOW as far as Yourride having problem before. All company's have some problem BUT we were the ONLY Company in Orlando that was in good standings with the Better Business Bureau. And Happy Limo CAN"T even think about getting on the BBB because of so many BAD post.
Have a nice day!

Have you forgotten about your former employer Mears Transportation which has been in business since 1939 and is also a member of the Better Business Bureau? Why do you think that Disney uses Mears limousines for their Fairytale Weddings? Because they value professionalism and reliability. Why do you think that the new Ritz Carlton/JW Marriott at the Grande Lakes Resort uses Mears towncars and limousines? Apparently because they want to ensure guest satisfaction; they even went as far as requesting "black towncars" for their resort and Mears went out and purchased new black towncars. How many other transportation companies in Orlando could fulfill that request?

Anyone who is contemplating making reservations with a transportation company should seriously consider the following:

1) does the company drug test their drivers?
2) do they require medical examinations for their drivers?
3) do they do background checks on their employees?
4) do they check their employee's driving records?
5) and most importantly what kind of insurance do some of these gypsy companies carry?

All too often people tend to look for the best bargain; however cheaper is not always better. As the old saying goes....you get what you pay for.

I am sure that we will be hearing more from Rabbit in the future. Watch for his reincarnation with another transportation company. Rumor has it that he has already been seen at the airport although he stated in another post that he has nothing to do with transportation anymore.

Wow Linda, that was pretty unprofessional. Now I remember why I only used Mears once and won't again.

I don't want any thing to do with the Transportation Business any more and I not getting back in the Business.(that a joke) Now as me being at the airport Yes I have a lot of friends that work there. I was saying HELLO to them!(if that's OK with you) Some of my friends are at G.O.A.A. Which ask to see me about a job with they! Do you know what G.O.A.A. is Linda?? I was not talking about gypsy Companies. I was talking about legal Companies that work in Orlando. ALL Companies that are legal and work the City of Orlando (and that's the Orlando airport too) have to Carrie 1 MILLION dollars of Insurance on all of there vehicles! Linda...Yes I did work for MEAR for about 6 years. And I do know a lot about them!!(like you know about me) Mears also pay ALL of the hotels and Disney a kick-back from $25,000 to over $100,000 a years did you know that? That is why Disney and the hotels are using Mears!!! And because there the big's company in Orlando NOT FOR THERE SERVICE!! Disney also uses a lot of other companies other then Mears that gives better Service then Mears does!! If you ask most of the Disney hotel people they don't like Mears and they all think that Mears give every bad service!! Mears doesn't do any of your 5 thing that you were asking about. The City of Orlando does most of that! On all companies in Orlando that get permits for Orlando. If Mears did do there own back ground check maybe then one of there drivers wouldn't be in jail (for the least 3 years now) for some bombing agents the U.S.A. Linda your right about people looking for the best price and not the best Service. And you do get what you pay for. There are a lot of very good drivers out there that work for not to good of companies. And that make the drivers look bad. Sorry this was so long. Have a nice day!! (I guess its your turn)

I am not looking for an argument with you. I was simply stating that you should not tell others on these boards to do their homework when you are mistating information. In your reply you failed to acknowledge the fact that Mears Transportation is also a member of the Better Business Bureau. Simply go online to the BBB website and see for yourself. Sure Mears gets a lot of complaints regarding their SHUTTLE VANS, but like I said you get what you pay for. As we have all stated before all of the companies have problems from time to time and that is to be expected. It is how one deals with problem situations that sets you apart from the rest. I do not see complaints about their limousine or towncar service on these boards. I am also not going to get involved with the DOT requirements of transportation companies either. I could go on forever.

I also noticed that you also did not acknowledge the relationship between Mears and the new Ritz Carlton/JW Marriott. Apparently the high end properties look to the leader in the transportation industry.

And I do know that G.O.A.A. is the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. Good luck to you in your job search....

The Ritz Carlton/jw Marriott do get very big Kick-Back from Mears just like The Peabody hotel on I-Dr.(very,very big kick-back) That's why a lot of littler companies are having a hard time making it in Orlando Transportation business. Mears tries to lock up every thing in Orlando just ask any driver in Orlando.About 45% of the complaints are about the Town Cars and Limos. Linda I'm also not looking for a argument from you or any one else. BUT a fact is a fact. There are a lot of law suites agents Mears for accidents like all of these people killed on 417. And thanks about the Job search, But this time I said No. I'm working..Have a Good Day......

Rabbit- Would you still recommend Yourride? It just seems like there are alot more negatives about the company since you left. We used your service last Sept and had a good experience. Its very hard to make a decision about with which company to go with (for our upcoming trip). Thanks.

I have used YourRide several times with no problems at all and have ressies for Oct., Dec. and Jan. with them. Thom is just great!

Regarding Mears, a few years ago, I used a different towncar service (prior to my YourRide ressies). The driver was just terrible--ran a few red lights, went way too fast, then to top it off, he tried to drop me off at the wrong resort. :(
I called the towncer service before I headed home and told them NO WAY again with that driver! They told me not to worry--he had left was working for Mears.

I'll stick with YourRide!

If so! Some of the old drivers are still doing work with the new owners and that the only ones I would us. Dennis, Dave, And the other Jim from Tx. (the old white hair Jim) That's 3 very good drivers still giving good service. They care about there Clients and how there being taking care of!!! They own there own Town Cars. And the other Jim that has is own S/Limo. You can request them...
