My husband's dog, a chihuahua, was named "Leche du chocolate" (I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong) since his markings are like frothy chocolate milk. That morphed over the years to Eechie. He is also a very FAT little sausage dog, so he gets Chubby, Chubs, the Chubster. If there is food involved, he responds. If not, he ignores you totally.
My dog, a shih-tzu, on paper is called Rufus Romeo. He goes by Rufus. Over the years he has been nicknamed with Rufie, Pookie, Pookie Dookie Doozles, Stinkbutt, Bubby, and Fuzzbutt. Since getting married, my husband has added to these by calling him Rufie Tuesday or Rufus Maximus. He responds to all of them!
My daughter's dog, miniature yorkie, is named Jasper. I started calling him JazzyMaTazzy or JazzMaTaz since he's such a proper little gentleman. He also gets called Yoda Ears and Peanut (from Jeff Dunham since he does that "what?" look that Peanut gives Jeff in his routines).
I won't even go into the names we have for the chickens! LOL Mostly, we just call them "the ladies or the girls" as a group. When they're being especially rowdy, we sometimes call them the "chicken and dumplings".
