Your opinion on this ladies watch

Since she is asian isn't she more petite so the watch is very beautiful but maybe too big.

I'm a tad over 30, and I have a watch very similar to it, but mine has swarovski crystals around the face. I LOVE mother of pearl facs on watches, it gives them a little something different. Big watches for women are in right now, and it's a pretty timeless style.

Hi OP,
I'm an Asian woman just a bit older than your wife ;)

This is a very nice looking watch, classic styling and will hold it's value.
I think she will really like it.

This style of Omega watch has been around for years. I have had this same watch for almost 20 years and still love it. Just a warning that the batteries are expensive and the last time I had the watch cleaned it was $250, but worth every penny. I love the watch as much today as the day it was given to me.

Eh, I'm not a big fan. I don't like the two-toned watches, and if she has small wrists, I think something a bit more delicate would look nicer. I feel like it's a very practical looking watch, but if I was getting a watch as a gift, I would like a more special looking watch. Everyone has different tastes and styles though. I'm 24 btw, so maybe I'm not quite in the demographic you're asking about.

BTW, it is supposed to be bad luck to give watches and shoes as gifts. Watches because it's like you're counting down the rest of your time together, and shoes because the recipient will use them to walk away from you. Although my dad did give my mom a gorgeous watch for their anniversary, she just "paid" for it by giving him a quarter, and then it's all good.

I think its beautifuland exactly what I would want in a watch. I am 36, a little older than your wife but not too old ;)
I think when you make that kind of investment in a watch you want it to be something that will last, and that style is classic and while it may not always be *in* and *trendy* it is a style with staying power. I'm not sure what other type of jewelry your wife wears, I wear only yellow gold and prefer my watches to be two-toned. If I only wore white gold, or silver I would not want a two-tone watch. I also wouldn't worry about the size, judging my the term mini in the description the face is probably proportioned for a small wrist. I have very petite wrists and find that any watch I have that is mini fits me perfectly. If you looked at it and thought this is definitely the watch for her, then you are probably right.

While I'm not a fan of metal watch bands, the face of this watch is beautiful!

I'm 31 and I would definitely wear that watch, I would be happy if my fiance got me a Tag or Omega. It's very classic and will give your wife years of good use. It's not too trendy, not too large or too dainty, and won't go out of style. If your wife doesn't like it, you can send it my way. ;)

I love it! I think you made a very nice choice.

I've worn that 2 tone for many years, but in a Seiko. It's a beautiful gift, and very classic. At that price point, I'd veer more toward classic than trendy.

My thoughts exactly. It's a very nice watch and it isn't isn't going to look dated in a few years. I like the two-tone look; it's very practical.

I have tiny wrists - I always have to remove a few links from bracelet watches - and I've worn similar watches since I was in high school. I don't think it's likely to look too clunky on a smaller person.

Beside, OP, you know your wife. No one else here does. If you think she'll like it, I'm sure she will.

Totally not my style. But I'm not a watch person, and my taste in jewelry is more funky, not elegant at all.

I'd also have real problems with the cost. I too would rather have a vacation. But that's our family. If jewelry is something important to her and something she values, then it's not crazy. It's just not a priority for us.
:thumbsup2
I don't wear good, either. It is nice, though, for some, since it does have gold and silver. GL!

How about this watch? It is two tone with diamonds. It is smaller and less expensive. Personally I like it better too. Although I'm more white gold/platinum/sterling silver look.

That Omega is a classic, it has been around for years and has stood the test of time.

It's nice, although I am not a big fan of two-tone watches myself. Ican't tell by this picture how big it is exactly but I'm sure she will like it. I LOVE watches, they are the only jewelry I wear besides my wedding rings. A good jeweler will be able to take the links out so it fits her well, they will also change the battery and it should only cost about $8 or $10 when it needs it. Movado stores used to change mine for $5 and re-seal it but they stopped doing it in-store. The clasp should stay shut tight unless it is cheaply made so she shouldn't worry about wearing it everywhere. I have quite a few ESQ watches by Movado and love them all.

I love it! FWIW, I am 40. I love the classic look, and the two-tone style is pretty and practical!
