You just lost 80 pounds! What are you Going to do next? Ending TR

Sorry I've been MIA for the last few days, been waiting on some test news for my mom. They thought they found something else in her spin through a bone scan.
Good news, all is well. Well, as far as that goes for someone who is living with cancer. She's actually doing pretty good, considering. ::yes:: :thumbsup2

Hope to get back here and get a post in soon. I'm just a bit wiped out today, hope you understand. :)

I just got caught up on your trip report. I will need to go back and read your PTR to get more background.

Congrats on your weight loss and your trip.

I need to lose a considerable amount of weight (around 50 lbs) to get to my ideal weight. I have felt really miserable with the extra weight the past few years. What is sad, is that I can barely stand to look at my pictures from last year's trip to WDW because of how terrible I think that I looked. That embarrassment was a real eye opener for me. I don't want to feel like that again. So, my goal is to lose 50 lbs and reward myself with a trip to celebrate. It would be awesome to have a "reveal" like you did. (You look a great by the way).

I know its going to be a struggle, but I know in the end, I will be better for it!

Thank you Miss Manda!! :welcome:!! :dance3: :yay: :dance3:

Sounds like the weight challenge you are dealing with is totally doable!! ::yes:: :thumbsup2 And yes, being in front of a camera and see yourself in those pictures really is eye opening, but it can go both ways!! :goodvibes It also took me seeing myself thinner in a picture to realize how far I had come!! :)

Do yourself a favor and don't allow any more years to go by and start hiding from the camera all together. :sad2: My kids will miss out on soooo many years of me not being in the pictures because of that in the past. :worried:

Take this moment of clarity and really use it to your advantage, put pictures up of you now and pictures up of you when you really loved the way you looked, put them aaaaall over the house where you will see them. This will be a great reminder of what you don't want stay like, and the other will help motivate you to get on the ball to get where you loved your body best!! You can so do this, girl!! If you stay motivated and stick with it, you should be able to lose most if not all of that weight in about a year.
If you want any help getting started just say the word, you can PM me if you want. Some times just getting started is all it takes to be motivated to go the rest of the distance!! :thumbsup2

Glad you got good news on your Mom's tests!

Great updates, Camille. And, again, congratulations on the awesome job!

Thank you Ms. Kat. I'm so glad to see you back on here. :goodvibes Hope you are feeling better.

Thank you, Jill. It was a bit of relief to say the least. I just keep praying and hoping for God to heal her.

I didn't realize the cakes you made were in Kansas! You are such a good Sister and Aunt to go all the way to Kansas to see your family. :thumbsup2 I did not like going back there, that's why I had my family move to Texas.
Naaa, more like they followed me here.

Aaaah! Okay, another state I don't care too much for. Use to have spend summers there bored out of our minds. Although a much less flat and much more interesting state to look at as you drive through. :) Ever been to Silver Dollar City? Use to be a pretty fun place to go.

Michele, what a great article!! Your boy really is a hero!! ::yes:: It's amazing how quickly he got y'all out, and right before you could have been really hurt! :scared: I'm so sorry you are going through this craziness, but you are so blessed to have everyone safe. I will continue to pray for this time to go quickly and for the process to come out smoothly.

Camille, we have been blessed. The whole process with the rebuild is going really well. They are right on schedule for us to be home by the end of October. It looks we will finally going to get some content money.

I was born and raised in Missouri but headed to Colorado first time with the Army and then moved here permanantly 5 years ago. I don't miss Missouri much. :) I used to go to SDC all the time...It was a good weekend trip...loved the fall Crafts festival.

Oh that's right!! I totally forgot!! I think I told you my mom was born in Missouri. We have all kinds of places we've lived/grew up in, in common! :)
I miss Colorado still to this day, I haven't been there since the year I graduated high school. June of 1989, Estes was the last place I remember being in Colorado, my dad and I went hiking up the trails and waaaay past, waaaay up into the Mts. :lovestruc I would love to do that again, soon! I'm thinking a Colorado trip is starting to brew!! :woohoo: Since John graduated from the AFA, and I grew up part of my childhood there, I think it's a place we need to go back to for a couple of weeks. :)

So happy to hear good news about your moms tests! :)

Thank you Cynthia. I'm still holding out for total healing of the cancer. :thumbsup2

Day 1.....Still-again!!

Still teary eyed, excited and happy as could be, we finally got on ME. Finally!! I was so elated to be there!! I even took pictures of Palm Trees just for Brook!

Sounds corny but this was starting to be the best ride of my life!! I was seeing all the beautiful sights and taking in the feel of FL. (mind you I've never been anywhere in FL outside of Disney) and what all it had to offer in that 40 min. drive. Not to mention.....WE WERE GOING TO BE IN DISNEY WORLD in a few short minutes!!

I, seeing how I never meet a stranger, started talking with the different people around me as they posed questions to other members of their family, I of course would try to politely chime in and tell them what they needed to know.  It soon became a game of a 1000 questions once they realized I knew some things about being in WDW.
I'm sure they all thought I was nuts, but I didn't care, I was having fun, especially with the two year old little guy in front of us who kept looking back and flirting with me.
Great! I lose 80 lbs. and all I get are two year olds flirting with me!! :rotfl: What's a girl to do?!? :confused3 You be grateful, you speak two-ese,and you flirt back!! :thumbsup2

I actually had one lady asked me all kinds of questions about where to eat and what to do, she was there with her kids for four days. I tried not to look like that and just gave her the best info I could. She asked me where I was staying and I gave her the low down of all the magical spots we would be bunking at for the next several nights.
You should have seen her face. This poor woman hadn't planned anything and to see her reactions as to how much planning (little really-but not to her)I had put into the trip I think she was thinking she had messed up big time. Other than booking the trip, she had nothing, and I mean NOTHING in her arsenal of preparation, bless her heart.

Her teenage son drank in every bit of information he could manage as I rattled of things she could do and places she might get a walk up ressie for, since she had the dining plan and no ressies. :scared: I reassured her she would have a great time and not to worry about a thing. Truthfully, I was wishing serious extra pixie dust on her and hoping her trip turned out well. No matter how much planning we know we put into our trips, you never want someone to have a bad trip just because they didn't.

We finally made it to POP....

Once off the bus I was shocked by how chilly and breezy it was. I actually thought I would need a jacket once the sun started going down. This was a new experience for me in FL. I expected to get off the bus and be smacked with a wall of humidity and heat. :sad2: But there was none to be had, nope, none, nada, zilch! I was loooooving it!! You would have thought I noticed this when we were getting on ME, but I was wrapped up in my emotional moment I didn't notice anything except how excited I was to be there.

We were checked in by the cutest Englishman named Dom. Now, I don't go around eyeing men to tell you whether or not they are cute, I stopped that a loooong time ago when I got married, but I know how cute they are currently because this is what I'm hearing from the mouth of my baby, my little girl, my little macka-doodle, my little bug....."Oooh, the boys are cute. Dom, the guy checking us in is cute! Those boys in the Hollister shirts were cute!"
So now I find myself on the lookout for cute boys for my daughter.
There's a really interesting story to go along with this topic as we get further into the trip, I'll just say it involved a really handsome Italian man, in Epcot's Italy.

Okay!! So we were all checked in and they actually had our room already ready for us!! Room 5416.
I requested....well, actually Brook requested for us, the back side of the 70's building facing Hour Glass lake and AofA. I wanted to be able to walk across Generation Gap Bridge and experience AofA as soon as we got checked into our room. After all, this was Mackie's request before we left for the trip. The girl didn't want to participate much in the planning of the trip, not without it being like pulling eye teeth to get her to do so, so when she spoke up about things she wanted to do, I made sure I listened! :listen:

Once we were checked in we made our way out back of the Classic Hall building to this.....

This would be where I would hear about the cute boys in Hollister shirts, needless to say I realized this trip was going to be veeeery different than any other trip with my daughter.  BIIIG differences from ages 10 to almost 14. BIG

Oh well, I was just so happy to see this beautiful sight and to be able to take in this exhilaratingly, cool, breeze we were experiencing for the first time while at Disney World.
We kept walking and take pictures, well, I kept taking pictures.
Mackie was walking and annoyed by the fact I was taking pictures.

There never ceases to be enjoyment for the parent of a teenager, especially when you find out there are endless ways to annoy them. :teeth:
Whyyyy, just today I danced Pee-Wee Herman style to the song Tequila in our local grocery store, worked like a charm!! :rotfl2: For those who are unfamiliar as to what this is, allow me to enlighten you to this classic method of teenage annoyance....

http://youtu.be/BodXwAYeTfM

Your life will never be the same, will it? :rotfl: Your welcome!

Any whoooo, as I was saying we were making our way to our building to see what kisses from God we were in store for. For those who aren't familiar with this, when ever something good happens and it's the little details that you notice being taken care of, I call those kisses from God. The over and above anything He ever needs to do to show me He loves me. :lovestruc You know when they happen because it's always over and above what you think may happen. Many of you on the Dis know it as pixie dust.

We finally get here....

Of course more annoying pictures were taken, much to the chagrin of my daughter.
We manage our way up the elevator and find this amazing view when we got off....

I left it big so you could get a feel of what we were seeing. Of course seeing this Mackie wants to go swimming. I told her it's a good thing she brought her carry on with her swimming suit in it, she promptly says, I didn't bring it with me, I put it in my suitcase. <big heavy sigh> You know what's commin, don't ya?
"Child! What was the point of me hearing you complain about how you didn't want to be carrying that big ol' bag if the whole point was to bring things you would need before ME dropped off our bags?!? I guess you are out of luck, girl. Next time listen to your mother and bring the things I tell you to pack."
Rant over.

continued in the next post......

continued from last post.....

We didn't stay pissy with one another for long. Nope, once we got to our room we looked over the railing and saw this beautiful sight....

Pretty, huh? It does a heart good to see such imagination made real, someone had a vision and there were a whole lot of other someone's who help make it happen. :lovestruc :cloud9: I know I sound like a huge sap, but I truly love seeing how people, with their talents, make things come together. Probably why I love Disney so much.
Especially when I've watched it all come together over the few years it was being built. Just a few short years ago this was some abandoned buildings and lots of undeveloped land, and now look at it!!

This sight almost made me want to stay here the whole trip, it such a pretty view from our room. A view we've never had any other time we've stayed on property, we usually get what we get and don't throw a fit about it. This time....we truly felt the kisses. :lovestruc

We manage to tear ourselves away from the railing and into our room...

I won't bore you with too many, it's not like you haven't seen a POP room before.
I wiped everything down we would be touching with Lysol wipes, and then we headed out to see this beautiful view and to take a few pics in front of it as we headed over to AofA...

Oops! I guess there was too much sunlight in her eyes.

So pretty.

This was our view if you walked just the few feet from our room to the end of the building right before heading down the stairs.

We were finally making our way over to AofA by way of Generation Gap bridge....

You could smell the flowers in the breeze, this is also where Mackie fell in love with Magnolia trees. :cloud9: She said we had to plant one in our back yard. Poor kid doesn't realize we live between two really large quarries and literally have to jack hammer the ground in order to put anything into it.

As we finally make our way over we start to fall in love with the resort right away...

How can you not love something like this?!?

And this is where we'll have to leave it my fellow Dis friends....

Nice view! Too bad Mackie didn't listen to her mama so she could swim! :goodvibes I love the nemo scenery - so cute. Too funny about you helping everyone on the bus. I really try not to interject into someone else's conversations but sometimes I can't help myself. I'm thinking these people were greatful to hear from you!

Wow!! Congratulations on your success!! Super inspiring!! :worship: You look amazing!! And how extra special to get to celebrate it in WDW! I was a bit teary reading about it. :goodvibes

Looking forward to hearing more about your trip! :)
