It does make a difference when someone identifies with the journey!
I'm at the halfway point. I'm down 40 and want to lose 40 more. My doctor says 50 more, but with my height, I feel it's too much. But I've hit a major plateau, so I've kicked up my workouts and made some adjustments to my diet. It's all a waiting game for the plateau to end, and I'm patient. It took me this long to gain the weight, it's not going to come off overnight.
That is so amazing Danielle, keep at it!!
The plateau's are a pain, but can be easily gotten around by changing up the routine of what you are doing.
When I first started out and I would hit one I'd change up the routine of my workouts and then have a cheat meal that I'd normally wouldn't have, this last one would usually tip the scales for me and in a downward motion no less! If you are eating the same over and over the body get's use to it, same with the exercise, the body likes consistency to maintain the weight it's already at.
Alcohol was also something I had to avoid in order to not hit plateau's, even the occasional drink (not wine) would throw me off for a couple of weeks from being able to lose. It wasn't something I had often, and I do love my occasional glass of wine, I just realized I had to save the wine for my plateau breaker meals.
Most of the time it was that plateau breaker meal that would do it for me, but only if I was eating really clean for a long stretch of time, the exercise I kept consistently different (once I hit a few plateau's in the first year) so the body would never become use to what I was doing, it really helped a lot. I noticed my body went on a big rebellion after my trip, it's not use to eating all that food that isn't good for me, and I can honestly say I tried to eat fairly healthy, but again I was pretty strict with it before the trip so anything not on the same lines of what it's use to, the body is going to do a double take and say (in the words of Si, from Duck Dynasty......"SAY WHAT!! JACK!!"
I have been running a 5k regularly though as my nightly jog three times a week. I can jog the whole three miles now, which is huge for me! I even have a 10k on Saturday.
I'm giving myself a year to reach my final goal. I want to do it healthy and right.
You do look amazing! ;-)
