Yes you can check the status of your orders (I just found it myself). At the top of the page, click on my account, sign in, and then choose, order history, find the one that you are "missing" and click on details, it should show if it has been shipped. It doesn't show when it was shipped but it shows if it has been shipped or not.

Oh Lord, I just checked mine and I have no orders in history. I must have done something wrong!

edited: I just re-did my order and noticed that the confirmation page states that shipping will be 10 - 14 days at no charge. So I guess we'll see how correct that is.

For the first person who responds on the board (please don't send to my PM box..aol doesn't tell me where I have PM mail, and I dont' want to keep checking), I have a coupon drink book from Southwest, good through end of December with 16 coupons (that would be 4 mixed drinks or 5 beers or wine).
Respond on the board that you want it, and once I say you were first..then you can PM me. Trying not to fill my box.

I'll stick it in the mail to the first person who could use it (not for eBay..I coulda done that!)

If that were 5 cups of Folger's "high test" I would take you up on it - LOL.. :)

But then again, I'm not even GOING in December now - am I ????

Can you tell it's been a REALLY long day?? Been sorting through boxes and boxes and boxes of junk trying to find the very best to get listed on Sunday.............

Nice offer though! :)

Shipped my first Priority Mail package using Shipping Assistant today. It worked beautifully! :D

I ordered a 30# electronic scale from eBay earlier this week and it arrived today via UPS ground. :bounce: Terrific service! I thought I was going to have to go to the Post Office tomorrow morning to weigh this week's listings!

This afternoon I needed to ship something overnight for Monday delivery via FedEx, so I was on my way out the door when I heard an announcer say "There is a police blockade at Thunderbird and Scottsdale due to a man with a rifle, possibly an AK47".

Oh, joy! The FedEx office is less than .5 miles from there and I couldn't find out exactly what area was blocked off! Needless to say, I decided that I did not need to ship it today. Monday will do nicely, thank you! :o Maturity does have its benefits!

As it turned out, a young man, possibly on drugs, had a rifle in his family home and was negotiatating with police for nearly two hours. In the end, he apparently threatened officers with the rifle and was shot by an officer. The last I heard, he was being transported to a trauma center for care. Hopefully he will recover and will receive help for his problem.

Question: I have some WDW resort Mickey toiletries that I was going to use as gifts, but have decided they won't be appreciated by the intended recipients. I am thinking about listing sets on eBay. Does anyone know if I will be stepping on The Mouse's toes if I do this? They aren't intended for resale, but they are cute! I have five sets of toothbrushes with toothpaste, face and body soap, and bottles of shampoo/conditioner and lotion. I love the graphics on the boxes for the toothbrushes, toothpaste and soaps.

Please let me know what you think!

Taja :sunny:

If you decide not to list them (and I can't see why you couldn't) keep in mind woman and child's centers. Our local Salvation Army loves to get the stuff I bring back....they just had a grand opening of the new shleter in our city, and the kids were drawn to the soap they put out. They each got their very own bar!

I've seen the Mickey soaps/lotions/shampoos sold on ebay before. I have a ton of them myself that I'm going to take to the kids shelter for Christmas.

DMRick - if they expired in January, I'd take them. We fly Southwest on 1/3/04 and return on 1/9/04.
Thanks for the offer though!

I know this will not be new information for some, but since it was new (and useful) information for me I thought I'd share it. I just went to the usps site to check on a delivery confirmation. Upon reading the clickable links I learned that you can sign up to have the delivery information automatically sent to your email.

Isn't that great?

Geez - is everyone getting 'looks' but no bites? My sparedollar counters tell me that people are looking, but I have not had a SINGLE auction with a bid on this week. I have over 100 counts on 8 or 9 auctions and if you deduct the initial one when I was checking, and calc in a few more when I forgot to include 3 of them on the counter for a day or two, its probably still close to that. SO WHY WON'T SOMEBODY BUY THIS STUFF!!!!! I feel it is priced fairly, I am not gouging on shipping and I really just needed to whine to you guys...........................

I know how you feel. I was sweating the same thing at the beginning of my auctions but it turned out to be a good week at the end. I think everyone just checks out things at first and then bids at the end.

Just want to give everyone the heads up on a new (or new to me) spoof email that I received tonight.

I emailed ebay about it and it's a hoax.

I am coming here for help again:

I have a bunch of bulky toys that I am trying to list on E-bay. After the high chair incident, I don't want to end up paying someone to take my stuff away. How do you figure out the shipping?

Do you go out and get the boxes that will fit these, measure and weigh them, before you list it?

Where do you get your boxes and how do you fill up the box?

What if the product does not sell and then you end up with extra boxes?

Thanks

:D

I would love to know where people get boxes too (aside from the size boxes that can be freely had from liquor stores. What about small boxes especially?

We newbies sure need a lot of tips! Thanks everyone.

Size box, is the actual boxes that the liquor comes in...

You could look at say dumpsters or office parks.. now I get the people at work to save them for me.

You could easily go into the grocery store, and get boxes as well.. dairy product boxes are nice.. and they have limited amount of writing on it.

I've got over 400 "looks" on my counters and only 5 bids! I'm hoping that everyone is just waiting until the end of the auctions. A lot of this stuff is seasonal and I felt positive that they would sell.

lat, what I normally do, after being burnt a few times with shipping fees, I get the item, put it in the box I'm going to ship it in, if its clothes I'll put it in a large zip lock type bag, or if its a coat I'll put it in a bigger plastic bag(garbage bag or any type of plastic bag) first. If its another type of item and theres too much room in the box, that the item moves around in alot, I'll fill the box with crumbled up newspaper. After its packed, without sealing it, I'll weigh it. I've been using ebays calculator alot and the bidder can figure out their own shipping fees. Alittle while ago, I used a flat rate shipping fee on an item having a 9.00 fee. It turned out that the person who won the item lived in Cal. and it cost me an additional 9.00 out of my own pocket to ship. I learned my lesson with that and when the item is heavy or if I can't decide on a flat rate I use ebays calculator. Its easy to use and this way it takes the guessing how much shipping will cost out of the picture. Then when the item sells I'll just put in the packing slip from paypal(if they use paypal), seal the box and ship the next morning. I REALLY learned my lesson, on weighing the item in the box it will be shipped in FIRST before listing it.

I have always been curious about that Paypal shipping slip when I see the option there. What is it? I always assumed it was an alternative to the shipping assistant one.

Its paypals packing slip. I always use it and include it in with the item. It has the sellers name, address, the buyers name, address, email address, a message from the seller and says thank your for your purchase, this is not a bill. It also has the item number and description of the purchased item along with the amount, shipping amount and ins. amt. with a total. I print one to keep with my records and include one with the item in the box. Thats how I get the buyers address. I thought everyone uses this? If you don't, how do you get the buyers address?
