I need some help on shipping to Australia. I have a lot of 5 magazines and a bidder wants to know the shipping cost and exchange rate if she wins and sends a money order. How do I figure this out? I went to the USPS site, but I'm wondering which way do I ship it? Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any help!
As of today, the exchange rate was 1 Australian Dollar = $.70 USD...the exchange rate changes daily, you really cannot quote her a rate...so if you choose to sell to your potential bidder she will have to do the exchange rate at her bank the day that she purchases her money order. One thing you may want to do before you give her an okay to bid is call your bank and find out what type of money orders are cashable. (I have only done overseas through Paypal, so I can't help you with the type of money orders)
If your magazines weigh in at 4 lbs 1 oz. or more the shipping goes through the roof...if it is under that weight you can probably ship by Global Priority mail box for $27.00, or if they are thin enough to slip into a Large flat rate envelope about $9.00. You can call 1-800-275-8777 to get exact rates once you have a weight and size of shipping container that you will need...I would get accurate and exact info before you quote you potential bidder though....this kind of mistake could cost you a fortune!!
