If you have a personal account to begin with you could refuse this payment and ask them to pay with available funds. If you have already signed up for a premier account, you are probably too late. I believe the fees (for ANY transaction) on a premier account are about .30 or .35 plus about 3% of the transaction. The unfortunate part of this is that it is regardless of the type of payment method they use. In the real world, a merchant only pays those fees on the CC transactions he processes. In the paypal world, once you accept CC's, you are charged those fees on EVERY transaction. Part of how PP makes $$$. I just have all of that calculated in my handling fee, although on a bigger item like that I am normally still losing $$. I add between .75 and $1.50 for handling fee on my auctions to cover time (and shhh don't tell!!! - ebay and paypal fees).
You can however have 2 paypal accts as long as you have 2 checking accounts behind them. We have a free checking at our bank so it is not a big deal for me. (I work there so if it was fee based, I would still be ok!!). I use the one for coupon swapping, etc with no fees. I put the other one w/cc's in my ebay stuff. If I can get the invoice out before they pay me first I always include - 'if paying via available funds, use @@@@, if paying via credit card, use @@@@". Normally they still use the CC one but I had a $100 transaction that made sure he sent it to the personal one - saved me several dollars!!! (sorry - think I have told this all before but it's somewhat relevant).
