You HAVE to try this!! EBAY your way to DISNEY Part 2!!!!

For priority and express the cost is FREE. For eveyrthing else there is a .20 cent lablel generation fee.

I thought that was pretty pricey for the amount of items I do : )

Yes, for us our magic total is $10 a month.

We do some priority/expres, so that is wonderful for us. We usually do priority for items that are within our zone. Our zone covers a multitude of states, so that works out well for us.

I wish it was less as well, because if you are a volume seller, that .20 label charge can add up quick. Since we are lately doing high weight, heavy packages, (PCs and laptops), the ability to NOT stand in line is wonderful!

Since I am the one that has to carry them in, just to let them know that I am and to take them up is a godsend to me. Just last week I had to wait in a 15 minute line with a 50 lb package.... and be late for work!

the ability to NOT stand in line is wonderful!

But if you use the post office on line and register with your cc, there is no charge. They still have that, right? You might want to consider that way.

I can't give all these packages to my mailman..he would hate me (and he'd have to go get his jeep and come back for them...and who knows if he would LOL), and a lot of mine are over the weight limit, so I'd have to go to the Post Office anyway, and we don't have a drop off : (.

Wow, good job on the FAQs, y'all! Very informative!

Oh, and lines? At the PO? You need to move to the middle of nowhere! Even at lunchtime we don't have lines! :teeth:

Dumb question but I don't know the answer....When using this Paypal Shipping Center feature, what kind of paper do you use to print the labels? Can it be printed on regular printer paper and then taped to your package? It do I need to buy a special size of label paper?

I bought Avery 8163 shipping labels and they work fine. One thing to check is if your printer type runs when wet. Mine is an ink jet printer and smears terribly if wet so I use the sticky labels and then still put transparent tape over the label as well.

My turn for a question! I just had 2 auctions end, so actually 2 questions:

1. What's an eCheck? It says it will be automatically deposited into my Paypal account when it clears, about 4 days.

2. All of my other buyers have paid almost immediately. This auction ended last night, I sent an invoice, and have heard nothing from the buyer. Should I contact them at this point, or wait another day. What wording do you use? I don't just want to say "how & when are you planning on paying me?", I need something a little more polished. What's good eBay ettiquitte? Thanks!

I use regualar paper. I also either tape over everything in masking tape or I use a plastic sleeve. (The plastic sleeves were discontinued at DH's work, so we took them)

An echeck is an electronic check - you'll want to make sure it clears before you ship the goods. It is a like a paper check that comes from their bank account.

I usually give the bidder 3 days to contact me about payment before I contact them. In my auctions I state that the bidder should contact me in three days and pay within 10 days. I'm not sure what you have in your auctions for a requirement, but I believe it is also Ebay's policy that contact be made within 3 days. I am not positive on that, but I'm sure one of the experts on here will know! :teeth: You might want to give it another 2 days before you email them.

E-Bay will let you sent a payment reminder through their e-mail after 3 days. I usually forward the original invoice to them after 3 days and say something like "Just wanted to send you a quick reminder about the auction you won from me on (date). Could you please let me know whether you will be paying by PayPal or Money Order? Thanks"

Does anyone use Andale Counters to track "hits" for amazon.com? If so, do the counters only work with auction stlye listings or all amazon.com listings? I can't get my Marketplace listings to appear in my Live items on Andale.

I'm having trouble being patient. I had 7 auctions end on Sunday. One is sending money order, 5 made instant payments Sunday or yesterday morning, one has made no contact with me at all and I sent the invoice thru ebay first on Sunday then today again with 2nd notice written on it. The reason I'm frustrated by this is that this buyer has over 1400 feedback remarks ALL of them positive and the buyer also has an ebay store so she certainly understands the payment issue. Some of her positive remarks were posted today and yesterday from other sellers. Isn't it odd that she would've paid for other auctions yesterday and today and not even emailed me? Just feeling frustrated, I know they have up to 10 days to pay.

OK, I need someone to clarify for me please. I read the post about being able to share our eBay user name info. I had a link in my signature to my current auctions which I felt was the same thing - just gave them a link to the items belonging to jgates so they could go directly. I received a PM telling me I was not allowed to do this.

I have seen some other posters (not necessarily on this thread - couldn't tell you who for sure) recently with a link in their signature so I thought this was part of the 'allowed' sharing.

What is our limit? Can we just say 'my user name is jgates' and that is it?

I really don't feel like getting booted off the boards so if someone could clarify this for me I would appreciate it.

I'm removing the stupid link for now. I have not received a single bid yet this week, yet 4 weeks ago, my book & tape sets all had bids by the next night after launching! Frustrating!

I received a PM telling me I was not allowed to do this.

Was the PM from a mod? I would only worry about it if it was from a mod.

I know when they first started the DisAuctions and I sold (or I should say listed) on them, we were told we could have a link to those auctions, but not eBay. I just assumed (and you know what they say about those who do) once they said you could give your eBay name, you could put a link in. Robin should be around soon to give a "real" answer.

(edited to fix the mistakes I caught!)
Doris

Doris - I am glad you 'assumed' :p the same way I did!!!

I was from a Mod from the Collector, Transportation and Tech Support Board - no names being mentioned and he wasn't rude but I just would like this clarified. I would like to put my link back in if I can.

I would check with Robinrs. She should be able to help you with your question.

Did I do it again???? I posted my user name here cuz I thought it was ok. No link, just my ebay name.

"OMG.

Didn't think anything like this would happen to me, but so weird.

I had an auction going for baby clothes. It had one bidder three days before auction end and she emailed me to say that she accidentally typed in $199 instead of $1.99. She said it was a mistake and if it went any higher than 1.99, she didn't want it.

Well, at the last minute the bidding got crazy and the auction ended at $20 and some change.

I had emailed her back about her question/problem three times and all three times it was returned to me. I tried looking in her contact info for a phone # and didn't find one.

So needless to say, she was the high bidder at $20.50. For three baby outfits, two from The Disney Store.

I can't get in contact with her. I haven't yet sent an invoice.

Instead I forwarded all info to Ebay and am waiting to see what they say. "

I finally heard back from Ebay and they said that I can file NPB and get my Final Value Fees back.
They also are having someone look at all my returned emails from this woman.
She hasn't disappeared.....she has paid for three other auctions she has won since she won mine.
So I can only guess that she blocked my email address from her email. But emails I sent through ebays system were returned also. So that doesn't make sense.

Anyways, I guess I will offer the clothing to the other bidder.
Should I go through Ebay to do this, or just email her myself? I have sold to the second bidder before.

Ebay user names are fine.. ;)

However, I think there may be a problem with "links".. We'll have to wait for the final word on that from Robin or one of the other Budget Board moderators..
