You bet your aft we had a good time! A Wonder trip report Update 12/30 p.59-611

Hi Pam!

I love each and every one of your Wonder pics! BRING IT baby!! :thumbsup2

I am really looking forward to sailing on a classic ship again- my memories of the Magic are 4 years old, and...so that's like it's a dream at this point (lol). I'm thinking it will REALLY feel like a new ship to us! :yay:

Gosh, these cruises I have coming up can not get here fast enough....good thing I don't live in Fla- I would be BROKE from total lack of self-control. :rotfl:

I love your room. Sorry Josh is in pain. It is always hard to see our babies suffer. All that fruit looks delish. We are huge fruit lovers here at my house.

I'm enjoying your TR, thanks for sharing. I'm considering a cruise & find reading TRs like yours so helpful! I'm looking forward to seeing you set sail!

Oooohhhhhh what cruises are in the line up? :hyper:

Do you think they will? Did the change the Magic's?

They did change the Magic's and I can't believe they did :(

I can hear you saying it now: so delicious!

You MUST get there. Their cheese covered tator tots are incredible. We like chili cheese but the chili has meat.

Sounds delicious!

I know!!!! Hopefully WDW June 2015 will pan out. You are always welcome to come see our beautoful state too. We have plenty of room. :goodvibes

I'll have to take you up on that one of these days! If 2015 doesn't work we'll figure something else out :)

Jenny - I hope Josh is feeling better. Ouch! Not good to be like this during this time of year. Happy Pesach, Chag sameach.

Pam - Great pictures.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the double postings from the different cameras on this TR. :thumbsup2

The sleep is amazing. Maybe I can get my doc to write a script for a cruise every 4 months to catch up n sleep? Insurance can reimburse. :rotfl2:
I'm an only child, what's my excuse? :rotfl:
Let me know if the script works out as I could go for that too.
Let's see...what's your excuse? Maybe you wanted an older sibling???:confused3

He had 3 skin graphs on 6 teeth on his lower gums. They took the skin from his upper mouth so basically his whole mouth is in pain. :guilty: Poor kid is miserable. M is home with him today and I was home yesterday. To add insult to injury, he got his top braces put on Tuesday so he's sore from that.

Poor Josh, I hope he feels better soon. That seems like an awful lot for a kids to go through.:grouphug:

Yes Ellen, do tell! You're doing the Wnder on Alaska this summer? popcorn::

Bummer. What did they do with the old one?

We'll figure out something for sure. If you ever come this way, come in summer. We've got a beautiful lake 20 minutes from our house and a boat.

I think it could go under preventative mental health treatment. ;)

Thank you. He's on the mend. :goodvibes

Working on an update. :yay:

Yay for Pam posting pictures too!

I'm glad Josh is feeling better.

194 days until I'm on the Wonder.

I know, I'm happy she's posting too. :woohoo:

Thank you, me too. Hard to see the babies in pain.

Yay you! pixiedust: I'm so excited for you. Will you get off the ship in Ensenada?

That's an excellent question, I have no idea. I googled it but nothing popped out.

Before you move I'll have to come out there, sounds lovely :)

No, this is the Cozumel and Grand Cayman out of Miami. This is the cruise I booked on the cruise last year. Can you believe I've been waiting this long to go on that cruise?

Joining in a little late but love your TR so far
I can feel your excitment on boarding the ship and can't wait to hear about the rest of your cruise :goodvibes

I'd be curious as to where it ended up. I'm guessing there is some back lot somewhere.

It'll be 2 years. :goodvibes

:thanks: Chloe grabbed his homework for him so he's doing it right now. He's such a little studier.

Ohhhh ok. :upsidedow No CC? I hear Grand Cayman is a good port. We loved Cozumel. I know you've done Cozumel. I'd take the same cruise we just took, same boat, in a heartbeat. :cloud9:

:welcome: Linda. Glad to have you. You're just in time. It takes me about 3-6 small updates to cover a full day.

One coming up momentarily. And to all my Christian friends and those that celebrate: Happy Easter!!!

We actually booked the same cruise as we were on onky one day shorter and out of a different port. Only it was supposed to be the reimagined Magic. Then they switched ships on us.

Yes- the Wonder In August In Alaska with the boys, in October we double dip on the Dream with other couples, and next May on a 5 night Magic with girlfriends. Very excited for all!!

Wonderful line up!

Alaska is on my bucket list. I had planned on 2015 but that has changed.

Our luggage was outside of our room so after lugging it in and snapping some pics, Pam left to check out her room and I unpacked. Joshua chilled on the verandah and was so happy with his surroundings.

I had packed three large suitcases but one was filled with FE gifts. I couldn't believe how much room there was for unpacking. It was unreal. The small space is deceiving and maybe it's because there was just the two of us but we had more than enough room for our stuff. I took the trunk like thing for my folding clothes and Joshua took the drawers. We shared the hangers in the closet and still had enough room for a dirty clothes area and to store our suitcases in the closet (standing up/side by side). I am a total unpacker and it felt good to be home. Try as I might to pack lightly, I failed miserably.

I made another quick call to Michael and the girls. My mommy guilt was still there but dissipating.

Our cruise group had planned a meet at the Promenade Lounge at 2:45. Jeff, our fearless organizer, had lime green bands made up for the first 300 people. We had a really fun and active meet thread and FB group prior to the cruise. I was especially excited to meet Pam (which we had), Jennifer, Amy, and Beth.

We showed up at 2:45 and Jeff was there with his family handing out bracelets. I did get to meet all the ladies I wanted too (plus Chase and Carroll, Beth and Jennifer's husbands). We didn't have drinks or food and it was quick and casual. I like meets but they feel semi-forced and I prefer a more natural setting to get to know people. Thankfully I would get to spend more time with these ladies during the trip. What a truly cool bunch of people. It was also fun to see people we *knew* throughout the cruise and chat.

Joshua was happy to see his pal Pam and we took off to check out the Edge, the spa, and Route 66.

First stop, pic with Ariel. Had to get this while no one was around:

How cute is this carpet pattern? I was floored by the attention to detail.

For any of you that read my pre-trip report or chatted with me pre cruise, you know I had reservations regarding Joshua's reaction to the kids' clubs. My concerns were founded but also fleeting (after two days).

We went to the Edge, I registered Joshua, and we checked it out. Looked pretty cool to me. The Navigator was pretty chock full of fun things to do at all of the clubs. I don't have another cruise line to compare it to but Disney keeps the kids busy. :woohoo:

Here's a pic of the daily board and the Edge activities:

And a few from around the club. A shout out to my girls and their boys:

The Edge had various Wiis and Xboxes and a PS3, lots of places to sit and just chill too. It was decorated cute.

After a brief look at the Edge, it was onto Route 66 which includes Diversions, Wavebands, and the Cadillac Lounge. Love the decor and it so reminded me of Carsland at Disneyland.
