I saw this picture this morning but just did not have time to post anything. Lots of work. This just popped into my head when I saw it. :joker:

I don't have any hardware in my ankle YET. But it is coming, it will be the 3rd operation on it. The first left me with a scar that goes from about 1 inch behind my little toe, back my foot, around the bump of my ankle bone thingy, and up my calf about 10". and then there is one right in the front about 5" long. The doctor was a QUACK!!! He used staples, about 70 of them, left them in my cast for 8 WEEKS, and then had a tech try to remove them, they were all covered with skin and etc. I was SCREAMING, the poor tech was shaking thinking I was going to kill him LOL.

Well second op was to fix the first ones mistakes, (he lost his license about 4 months after my surgery, but not because of me :( ) That is a second scar on the front same length, about 1/4 inch over, and one on the back of my calf, to transplant my nerve that the first quack cut, now if you touch the back of my leg, I "feel" it in my foot. LOL

Well next surgery will be a slice in the sole of my foot to insert a 16" rod up through everything, and then a slice on both sides in the front (for a total of 4 scars) to put all kinds of plates and screws.... :woohoo: NOT!

My son and wife already call me Frankenfoot!

It seems like their government would have them stoned to death for wasting precious resources like video tape on something like that.....the guy who wrote the subtitles is one sick puppy!!! I dont care what country youre from...thats some funny stuff!!

that's why I watch it when I feel glum.

Ready to strangle my kid!!!!!!

So at least he now has a job, but only because we stepped on his head and made him. :confused3

How old is he ?? My 14 yr old DD has to be forced to do everything lately. She just seems to want to sleep or lay around and be lazy all day long. They just got out of school and we DID keep them pretty busy helping us move and all of that. BUT this is the last week she is getting away with it. She needs to get herself up at a decent hour in the morning and be more active. I'm not going to let her sit on her butt all summer watching tv or playing online (that's MY job :rotfl2: ).

He's 20. He IS making the grades in school, and hopefully will be able to support us in our old age when he graduates, but right now he's driving me crazy!!!!!

I don't think anyone wants you to take your leg off! LOL

I have been in the OR during a couple of knee surgeries, I am not surprised that they hurt so bad.

My 15 y/o works 8 hrs on Saturdays and 6 hrs on Sunday (he only works Sundays when school is out) He is actually trying to get more hours. Our 17 y/o works a couple evenings a week and half a day Saturday during school and a couple extra short shifts during the summer. They both enjoy their jobs and I like that they have to make their own budgets and handle their won money.

but
the way he treats my children is just more than any mother can handle! He always drops comments that are meant to be demeaning...and he always chooses one of my daughters per trip to bare the brunt of his foul mood. Last year it was Meija, who pretty much keeps to herself and is very mature and repectful. This time it was Annalise, who is a firecracker...but..... It started the first night when my 7 year old was playing Kung Fu (thanks to Kung Fu panda) with his 6 year old son. It was going fine until the son fell down (yeah, she pushed him....all in good fun). Well this guy comes barreling over, yelling at my DD saying "what the he** are you thinking pushing down a poor kid who's sleepy? You should have more sense than that! Come on, why are you so mean?" blah blah blah and he gets this tone...condescending...the kind that makes you want to knock him upside the head.

I finally got him to shut his trap and hopefully embarrassed him when he realized that it was a game and my DD is just much stonger than his son. This lead to comments the rest of the trip about Annalise being mean and his son doesn't want to be with her.."I can't imagine why!" When clearly, his son thinks the sun rises and sets in Annalise and the one with the issue is dear old dad.

Must be in the name, well similar name. My Aleise dropped one of our friend's son on the ground. He was teasing her and being a real jerk. He bent over to pick something up and she plowed him. Then they wrestled for a bit. My DH never stopped her. He said, I wasn't going to stop her he deserved it and she was kicking his %$@. They haven't really talked to us in a year. Oh well.

Ready to strangle my kid!!!!!!

My youngest has been out of school since early May and has worked 1 day all summer. One of my DHs customers works for the staffing agency that hires the folks that set up for concerts and events at our Civic Center. (Meaning free admission to some potentially really cool concerts, sporting events, and fights).

My son talks to her a couple of weeks ago, but she didn't have any openings then.

She calls yesterday, and son is sleeping all day with his phone off. She calls my DH at work to let us know she has an opening. I'm home for lunch and tell my son, and he is really blase about calling her back, but I guess he finally does and has an appointment this morning at 8am.

Goes to the appointment, gets hired, but tells the lady he can't start till next week!!! :faint:

Believe me, this kid has NOTHING to do, he just doesn't want to work :furious:

The staffing lady calls DH and tells him this, and DH informs her my son can start tomorrow.

So at least he now has a job, but only because we stepped on his head and made him. :confused3

Oh...I've got a girl for him!
Remember me with the daughter I wanted to strangle last week. This week she has an appt. for a lifeguarding job. She is certified in CPR..adult and children. She swims like a fish. LOVES it. Took all this lifeguarding course as part of her gym requirement for college. She was determined (or so we thought) to lifeguard this summer. The pay is actually pretty good. She works part time in my brothers law office, but figured this would be a nice change of pace for her, and she seemed so enthused about it. Why not? She had an interview on Mon. at 12...wasn't feeling well, changed it to today at 4 pm. Okay. No problem you say. Only she has never been to this particular park before. I ask her at 3:15..if she was leaving, and she says.."not yet..it's only 10 minutes away. Well, yeah..but if you've never been there before..maybe there's traffic or something. Or how about just getting there early and making a good impression?. Nahh..."don't worry about it ma". Okay...at 4:30 I get a call that she first went to the park..but the front gate told her she was at the wrong park(there are two parks with the same name within a few miles of each other..go figure..but it's true). She winds up at he second park, where they apologize for the error, and send her back to the first(following this so far:rolleyes1 ...yeah..me neither). Anyway, back to the first park..where the person who was supposed to time her and interview her LEFT for the day. So now, she is re-scheduled for Saturday. :scared: Of course she blames the receptionist who sent her to the wrong park..and should have know she was in the right place..since the second park doesn't even have a pool. You know..if she would have left earlier..even if this still all happened, and she wants to blame someone else...she STILL would have wound up where she needed to be and been on time for the interview. THAT would mean ..oh I don't know.. LISTENING TO YOUR MOTHER!:furious:

Mind you..it's her idea to lifeguard. Only I'm pretty sure you have to get off your a** to do that. Oh..and she only knew about the openings because I asked at one of the joint district pools I dropped my son and some friends off at last Sunday. She makes calls..and waits for them to be returned. Which of course they're not. I think Mr. POS boyfriend is behind her sudden the lack of motivation. He likes meeting her for lunch when she works at the office, because he lives near by. Hold..on..gotta :crazy2:
I swear, I keep praying..but nothing. God..ya gotta help me out here.:worried:

I think its great she stood up to him....hopefully if he learns an early lesson that women won't accept being bullied maybe he will grow up to respect them!!! That is my hope anyway!!!

We have these in the stores. I work tomorrow and can see if I can get a picture of the poster. It might be clearer. Would that help you ?
