Just a quickie folks.
I've today received my renewed passport back and yesterday the kids ones were returned because I had to stick them on their own passports.
Unfortunately, their birth certificates were not returned.
Could anybody who has done the same recently tell me if the birth certificates are posted separately. Or if not who do I contact to get them back:confused:

Thanks in advance:wave2:

Haven't done the same very recently, but they were definitely posted separately last time I sent certificates :)

I have just sent off the forms to renew mine (but didn't need to enclose any documents) and I'm sure I read on the form that they would send passports and supporting docs separately, as there was an option of sending more for registered postage costs if you wanted that.

Yes, this happened to me last year when I got one for my baby son. Got the passport in about 10 days but it took about 3 weeks for his birth certificate to come back. I was having kittens!!

I rang up and apparantly its a different department and they get backlogs, especially in the summer. I wouldnt worry yet.

We've just had the same problem after having to move my oldest daughter off my passport and onto her own. The passport came back as a courier delivery and her BC came back via the Royal Mail about 2 weeks later.

Hi there I just did my childrens passports and they ALWAYS return the birth certificates seperate from the passports.
I actually got both the passports before they returned their birth certificates.
