I did not notice any tone just someone being helpful, giving the link so that the OP can read what has been posted on the subject.

Everyone, just deep breathe here, it is ok to suggest doing a search if you in fact know that there have been other threads on the same subject.. It is just way of doing your own research to get information...like you googled it only you dissed it..

Has anyone else heard that YandY won't be taking ADR's? I read/heard this awhile ago. I heard that, like Rainforest Cafe, they won't be taking ADR's..purely walkup. Man, I hope that isn't the case.

I just made ADRS for Rainforest cafe (in AK) as I am afraid I won't be able to get ADRS at Y&Y (don't worry, I'll cancel if I get in )

Also, I know someone suggested this before but it might make it easier if there was a stickyabout Y&Y so people don't have to start a million searches

I have made an ADR for Rainforest before and I'm glad I did the line was huge. You just don't made the ADR through Disney, you call the restaurant directly.

You can make adr's for RFC in AK but downtown Disney RFC is walk up only. I really hope YY takes ressies. Also I hope to hear about Tusker House, re opening and menus. I am going to miss my roasted chicken from there.

The moderators of the Restaurant Board have discussed this option and decided that at this time, Yak & Yeti does not warrant a sticky. We haven't seen the board be overrun by threads on that same topic, and since we try to keep the stickies to a minimum we don't feel it is worth it right now.

I've seen this RFC information posted several times. You can make adrs for AK RFC through disney dining-I've done it! I've read several threads with people worried Y&Y won't take adrs because they don't think RFC does. Just wanted people to know that the one in AK does! Now taking the dining plan is a different question......

Huh. When I called to make ADR's once, when I asked for RFC in AK they gave me the phone number to the restaurant and told me that Disney doesn't make the ressies.

I'm really looking forward to the restaurants opening. We have never spent the whole day in AK and this trip I told hubby we would. He loves AK and I have been lukewarm about it, so I'm going to take my time with AK and really appreciate it. Can't wait for the menus!

. . . we don't know for sure the opening date
. . . we don't know for sure the menu items
. . . we don't know for sure the ability to make ADR's for the TS section
. . . we don't know for sure the status of DDP use

When I called for the discount code this year, I was told my dates were blacked out after being on hold for over an hour. I called back the next morning and saved $339 after less than 10 minutes on the phone!

It was the DTD RFC that I was thinking about. But, now that you mention the AK one, I have had people tell me they weren't able to get ADRs there either. Man, I sure do wish Disney Dining CMs would get on the same page.
Here's hoping we can make ADRs for Yak & Yeti...I'm dying to eat there.

Oh well, I guess that's the problem with dealing with human beings. Sometimes when I'm waiting for a CM on the phone I am just hoping for a friendly voice. I actually hung up once and recalled because the person sounded so nasty.

A couple of years ago I had the best CM, some of the dates I was asking for were full so she asked me for my arrival and departure dates. She booked me into the places I wanted on alternate days. Now I know that I can give a range and they can check all of those days. No one ever offered that to me before.
