WWYD? offered free upgrade

what is a bounce back?? we are leaving on sunday and am curious

It means you can book a trip for next year and receive the free dining plan. I believe the dates to book are somewhere around Aug 30 - Sept 30, 2008. You have to book at your resort before you check out and must leave a $200.00 deposit.

Thanks for this info. So it's $200 flat deposit ? Not one night's rental like usual ? I could book at POP or the GF and still only need a $200 deposit ? I appreciate the help. We'll be at POP on Sept 27 and plan to book.

I believe that is what I read. The dates didn't work for us so I didn't do it. There are alot of threads out there talking about it. You may be able to get more info there. Have fun on your trip!!

I started my trip report if anyone is interested. I am going to be adding a ton of pictures along the way and will highlight: Pirate & Princess Party, our dd's birthday in WDW & our upgraded Old Key West. The title is: Chip ate our princesses hair and Capt'n Jack made our son sad!. Thanks for checking it out! We had a great week!

We got back a couple of weeks ago , but just now getting caught up on work,,,, Anyway, It was soooo wonderful, I don't think I can ever go back to POP!. We stayed in the Carasel Building right accross from the bus stop on the first floor! Awesome, The building may not have had a pool but it was wonderful sitting on the Patio in the evenings and watching the fountain. The heat was horrible but we took full advantage of the pools and loved the activities during the hottest part of the day at the pool, my kids loved making homemade Ice cream, they absolutley cried when it was time to go home. They loved the jaccuzzi tub justa cap of bubbles and they were in heaven! and then carry them bubble filled to the shower to wash off. The parks were great too, But we took full advantage of our room. Actually considering Buying the DVC!

I started my trip report too! It's called "To heck with a catchy title - I've got pictures!" There's not too much there so far, and oddly enough I haven't gotten to the part with pictures yet.

I wish we'd have had more time at SSR. We didn't do any of the activities or even find the building where they take place. The kids did get to go to the pool a few times but we were mostly in the parks. The one thing I don't like about free dining is that it seems like we're always rushing to get to an ADR or to get stuff done in time to make it to our ADRs. I love the food and being able to eat in all the nice and fun places that we normally wouldn't go to because of the price, when we can just as easily split a CS and be full, but I don't like being tied to a schedule with all those dang reservations. Since we most likely will not stay at SSR again, I really regret not spending more time hanging around the resort and taking full advantage of all they have to offer.

Because it was so hot, we wound up back at SSR by noon most days. One day, we didn't even leave SSR other than to play miniature golf. The activity room was such a great little find! We played ping-pong a few times and mydaughters learned how to make towel animals. I would really consider buying DVC at SRR. The only thing that stops me is that there always eems to be some great deal I get for Disney at least once a year.

As far as the food, my daughters were begging not to eat any more TS so I cancelled ADRs the last two days. We just traded them for CS meals and got the coupon for two free snacks. I wound up with 9 bags of Goofy candy and Disney mints to take home. I smile every time I open that little mint box!

I think I added the link to my siggie...hopefully this works! I have completed day 2 of 8! We have lots of pictures and it is hard to pick the best ones that describe the days..thanks for looking. So far no one has commented...tough board :)

We were down there 8/31-9/5. We were on the 1st floor in The Grandstand. Now, what I loved was we were the 1st to pick up on the bus and the 1st to drop off. They had a lot of stops to make thru SSR. It took about 5 mins. to get out of SSR. We loved our 1br villas. We would be out the door every morning by 7:30 and we would also be back at the resort by 12:30 every day. We wanted to enjoy the resort. We took our dd to the main pool twice but the day before Labor Day was soooo crowded. I did enjoy the slide! The one thing being so far back of the resort we could not enjoy filling up our mugs everyday like at the other resorts. we would have to drive up there. I took lots of pics so i will post them later. we enjoyed taking the boat ride from MGM to Epcot which we've never done before and got to see the boardwalk and the swan/dolphin upclose. It worked out good cause we had an ADR @ Le Cellier for lunch so we docked right @ world showcase. I have to give a big shot out to the best waitress in WDW-"Stacey". Loved her job at disney!! She spilt a whole glass of tea on my dh's back, and of course, felt so bad, she showed up with a Canada t-shirt for him to put on cause he was freezing. She was awesome!! We so enjoyed our stay @ SSR. The room was so nice and big! The mousekeeping was great every morning, putting our dishes in the d/w every day, not used to that. we loved the bathroom! we are looking forward to going back to pop in 14 days though!!!
i will post my dining reviews and trip report pretty soon! we're busy moving this week.

I started my trip report to. It's titled "First trip to the World: Grand Gathering of 12". I only have day one and 2 on there. I didn't realize how hard it was to do a TR. It's very time consuming (I reread through the posts, so I know how to post pictures now...Thanks Lyzziesmom :thumbsup2 ). I'm trying to remember everything we did and in order, but my mind in fuzzy on all the details. It must be reality sinking in :sad2:. I absolutely loved our vacation, despite all the pitfalls we had. Funny, when you're there, you don't appreciate your vacation. But when you get home, you have a hard time remembering why you were so irritated in the first place. I truly appreciate our vacation now. I miss the SSR and the king size bed:love: I want to go back right now.

I can't wait to read everyone's TR's. Looking forward to it.

There was a refill station right next to the pool at the Grandstand section.

Congrats! I have no idea what rank I am, but that's ok because I like my tags. Didn't you say you started a trip report? What is it called, I can't remember? I can't even imagine doing WDW with 12 people, that must have been very chaotic! Every time I go with more than just my kids (and sometimes even then) I end up saying "Next time I'm going alone and leaving you ALL at home!" So far it hasn't happened, but I do like taking my kids one at a time better than both together, it's just so much easier and I love the one-on-one time with each of them.

If anyone wants to see my photopass pictures from our trip, PM me your email address and I'll send them to you. I never buy the pictures because we don't get that many (and I take hundreds of my own) but I like to share them.

Thanks :) My trip report is "First trip to the World; Grand Gathering of 12". I updated some last night and I'm about to sneak back on here in a minute to do day 4 (I'm at work). It was alot of work with all 12 of us, and DH and I decided that if we do that again, it will only be us 6 (which is still alot). Don't get me wrong, I had a wonderful time, it was just a little bit hectic. And of course, nothing like I had planned it to be. (6 months of planning:sad2: and we didn't even follow the touring plans). I've been following your TR and  can't think of her name right now (the chipmunk and Capt Jack) TR. She's on here too. I think it's Ellas something (Sorry:guilty: ). I'm enjoying them both alot. I'm enjoying writing mine too, but man, I'm having a brain freeze. I was just there, and I can only remember what happened by my pictures :lmao: Oh well, that's why I took them. If I can figure out how to PM you, I'd like to see your photopasses.

I miss this thread!

I used to get a lot of e-mail alerts from here. Now, hardly nothin'!

I knew Id be depressed when we got home :(

Before we left for Disney I was so busy. Now that we are back the kids are in school and Im bored.

This will change I know but for now it sucks!

lyzziesmom, I love your pics! Thanks for sharing them!
