We are traveling to WDW this summer - DD will be 1 at the time of the trip. Will have park hoppers, and plan to split one day at Animal Kingdom, then Epcot. It will be our only day at AK, but we will have a partial day at Epcot the day before. We also have ADRs set up for that day: Tusker House 8:10am, Marrakesh 5:30pm.

I am unsure what to do about our FP+ ... Initially I had planned to make the FP for Epcot, and just ride standby at AK, but I'm worried about how much time we will spend in line for FoP.. plus I'm stuck on what other FP choices we would make for AK. Is it worth it to use them on a show?

What we'd LIKE to do at AK (just have this one half day):
-FoP (must do for me - didn't get to ride last trip)
-Navi River
-EE (ok doing single rider)
-A show (either Nemo or Lion King)
*Ok skipping Kali River, Dinosaur, Bugs Life. Undecided on Kilimanjaro Safari, not sure if DD would enjoy

What we'd LIKE to do at Epcot (have essentially 2 half days)
-Frozen Ever After
-Soarin
-TT (ok doing single rider)
-Nemo
-Less important but would try and get to: Mexico boat ride, Figment, Spaceship earth, Livin with the land

How should we manage our FP+ choices here? Make FP+ for Epcot the first day, FP+ for Animal Kingdom (FoP, EE and ?) and ride standby at Epcot whatever we don't get to the first day? OR FP+ at Epcot TWO days, and take our chances with standby at AK after our breakfast reservation?

You could just book one or two FPs in AK. There's no rule that says you have to prebook ALL three in the first park. I think Nemo/other tier 2 rides are easy(ish) to get same day FPs. If you can get a morning FOP/everest and then just leave the third one until the day of.

You'll have to wait standby for Navi River though if you're getting FP for FOP.

Not knowing at what point AK falls in the trip, it makes it hard to predict if any FPs will be available.

This will be our 2nd day - I know that'll make it tough in terms of securing FP, but we're only there 4 days in total before we leave for Port Canaveral/DCL. We'll be at the parks on Saturday (Epcot), Sunday (AK/Epcot), Monday (DHS/MK) and Tuesday (MK).

I guess my hope would be to somehow get a morning FP for FOP, and head straight to Navi after breakfast and wait standby for that. DH and I have done Navi and don't absolutely need to do it again; we would wait if the standby time isn't too bad otherwise may just take DD to the walking trail to see some animals or something.

I would not want to do standby line for FOP with a 1yo. Ugh. I would definitely FP that if I can and since you haven’t done it yet, you definitely don’t want to miss it, it’s awesome. My 1 year olds loved Kilimanjaro safari and festival of the lion king. (Nemo is nice but not as much action, and mostly late morning or afternoon times. Little Ones tend to nap here) EE single rider is almost no wait at times. As far as Epcot goes, we always had good luck getting on most the smaller rides with little wait or getting a last minute FP. I would FP your must dos (I know the tiers are an issue) Don’t forget turtle talk with Crush!! My babies loved that one too!!!

Thank you for the feedback on what your little ones enjoyed! It's hard to plan in advance when I have no idea what she'll like. And we don't have much locally to "test the waters" and see how she does with characters, shows etc.

I really want to do FOP this trip. We are going back in late 2019 with other adults who can help us out watching DD but I'd like to do it sooner if I can make it work!
