CONGRATULATIONS!!

I had to do an early weigh in this morning, since we leave for WDW this afternoon. I am hoping to keep it on target while at Disney.

Loss for the month: 3.5; slow but steady is my plan.

Congrats!!!! I am on that plan too!!!

down .2 last night--- I think I need to eat more, I didn't meet my points several days, didn't use any of my earned activity points and didn't even use any of the 35 points.

I am having a hard time eating all of the food!!! (my kinda a weight loss plan!!!)

popcorn::

Hope everyone is having a good week!!!!

Ok Rachel Ray I am not :-)

It was the day before pay and the day before grocery shopping so I decided to experiment with what was still in my cabinets so I wouldn't spend money on fast food.

I grabbed a can of chili (4 points), and Grilled up some chicken on my George Forman (4 points).... and had a small bag of Fritoes left over from lunch previously in the week. So I combined them all for an ok 12 point dinner.

Yeah I know 12 points seems like alot but I usually have about half my daily points left at dinner as I eat a very small breakfast (usually a WW 1 point yogurt).

But meal was ok, but it was still missing something. I called it my Texas Chili Chicken Pie.

Thanks! There were several days and weeks I wanted to quit. The weight was coming off sooooo slowly I didnt know if it was really worth it.
I hung in and did it!
Can I pat myself on the back now?:rolleyes1

Congrats to all that are losing and hang in the those that gained.
Today's another day, use it wisely

congratulations!!:thumbsup2 :woohoo:
that's wonderful!

question re: weekly flex points....when you use flex points are you eating things that are generally WW friendly or are you splurging on things that you normally wouldn't eat (cheeseburgers, high calorie desserts etc)?

I just keep thinking it's hard to use up the 35 points on healthy choices, seeing as they are so little in points. But at the same time, I don't want to eat something really fatty or high in calories just to use up the points you know? Most days, at the end of the day I have been satisfied with my 22 points, so it seems to not make sense to eat anyway(when I'm not hungry) to just use up points.

Welcome to Ken!

Congratulations Bareacuda, that's awesome!

Have a great time at WDW NCRedding, I wish it were me.

Congratulations to all of the losers! I am down 2.8 this week and loving this program I just wish I could get motivated to do some exercise.

Well I thought I was going to be ok at the Hockey game tonight. I had enough points to get a hotdog (without the bun) and a beer. That way I could experience the game and get my arena food craving over and done with.

I didn't count on the fact that I was gong to be soooooo hungry still... So the icecream was calling my name.

*sigh* I need to work on that will power. I marked it down on my Freebie points and know that I will do better tomorrow.

10 more pounds to go.

I was cleaning out my favorites box and came across a website I found a couple of years ago. It contains recipes that have the WW point values figured out for you. Not sure how the recipes are, but thought I would share none-the-less.

http://recipecircus.com/recipes/Mom2two31064/

thank you for this!! I found tons of recipes I want to try. Made the chicken fried rice the other day and it was great!

I weighed in earlier this week, but had not had a chance to post this.....my first week back to WW, I lost 3.8 pounds!! Very motivating to continue. But Ive been sick this week so I haven't been working out at all.

I know I am late joining but I hope it is okay. I really actually did it and joined WW last week. I am doing the Core program and we have switched our house to dairy free (for health reasons). I went to weigh in today and I lost 7.1lbs!!!! :cool1:  I am so excited!!!! I lost about 50lbs before I joined (had a baby in July) and would like to lose at least 50 more but really more like 60 or 70. Anyone else doing core?

Can I join this thread? I joined WW online Jan. 5, and a Disney-related weigh-in thread is DEFINITELY more fun than the regular WW ones!
Just so you'll know where I'm coming from, I'm 6' tall and currently weigh 259. I lost 35 lb. over the last 2 years, but needed a little push to get started again. Weighed in this morning, and am down 9 lbs. since Jan. 5!!

congratulations!!:thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Most days, at the end of the day I have been satisfied with my 22 points, so it seems to not make sense to eat anyway(when I'm not hungry) to just use up points.

For me, I eat a regular diet, just watching what fills me up better.
I dont eat hot dogs with or with a bun. They are not filling to me anymore. Lots of points for nothing.
I still do fish 2x a week and at least 2 nights are meat free. Thoses nights are soups or stir-fry veggies with rice.
My saving grace for dessert is skinny cow mint ice cream!!
I also try real hard not to eat the 35 points. I may splurge and take 7-10 when we have a get-together. I do try to eat some the activity points I gain for that day, but I usually cant eat them all.I can gain more then 13 points 3 times a week with my exercising :scared1:

You just to find out what really works for you. What snacks are satisfying, and what meals won't have you hungry an hour later. I always carry a WW lemon bar with me at all times. I can always spare 2 points for that little hunger pang at 2 in the afternoon.

Hang in there... you'll drop the lbs. I did... very slowly, but I did!
Good luck everybody.

Ann

:goodvibes

Alittle about me... I am 39 (until April) and have been married for 21 years (in September). DH and I have two sons, 18 and 15. We have been to Disney 6 times.

I have decided that I don't want to turn the big 40 the size that I am and are going to start counting points again. I would like to lose a total of 40 lbs. That will probably not all go away before my bday, but whatever I can lose will be worth it.

I am considering using Alli along with points to hopefully keep me on track and maybe lose a little faster. Anyone else use it together with WW?

DH is also retiring from the AF this year and we are going to try to sneak in a quick couple trip before he starts his new job, even more incentive to do well.

I am going to try and check this site two to three times a day and get my water in.

Hey everybody,

Today was a little rough.... no school (work) and it was cold and snowy outside so I spent the day in the house (read= next to all the food!!!) as of right now I am at my point limit and I still have 20 flex points left till Wed. I - know, no big deal, but when I am bored, I really like to snack on food. ---- and there are only so many carrots and celery sticks to eat in one day!!!

ok--- I'll just read some WISH journals and chat with my DIS friends to keep me busy and away from the kitchen.

thanks for being here....

BTW--- silly clippie question-- I added the WISH clippie to my signature, should it represent the weight lost, or the weight desired to loose?? just wondering??? since I am just starting and only 5 pounds down, I wasn't sure.

thanks.

pam:)

No change for me this week. I was doing great until we had a big family dinner on Saturday that included a cake for my in-laws. Should have sent the leftovers home with them and I didn't. :sad2: The good news is it is gone now and I've gotten into a good workout routine that I'm not giving up!

Congratulations all you wonderful weight watchers!!!!:cool1: You are very inspiring.

Bareacuda- party: LIFETIMEparty: You must be sooo proud. That is such a fabulous accomplishment. You are an inspiration.

tubachick-the clippies are used for weight you have lost. We are all working towards that beautiful GOAL clippie!! Some day. Congrats on your loss so far.

Blythep- :welcome: This is a great place to come for inspiration and support. I don't know of anyone using alli. Good luck.

DizneeMommy and Mouse House Mama -:welcome: and congratulations on your losses so far. You are off to a fantastic start.

Congrats to all our losers-NCRedding, tubachick, WeCantWait, Stacerita, and anyone I missed. You are all motivating me to get back on track and stay there. Thanks.

I am up 1.4 this week. I feel like i finally have a good exercise routine going, and have been doing 30-45 min/ 5 days a week since 1/1, but I think i had a false sense security thinking i could eat more because i was exercising, and have been using activity points and more most days. I am going to stick with my daily points plus flex points and not use any activity points this week, and hope to see a loss. I am going to journal faithfully too.

Anyone who had a gain, or maintain, hang in there!! Slow and steady will get the weight off!!:thumbsup2

Have a wonderful week.:cheer2:

Good Morning WW'ers! I just went back last night... I think it's going to be a great meeting.... there were tons of people there that I knew... including one girl I work with! And another girl who used to work in our office and my bosses sister...it's always nice if you have friends there.

I have 50 pounds to lose.... I'd like to lose 70 but I'd be happy with 50.... I'm not going to set a goal more than 50 right now.

I'm 40 years old, married with an 18 year old dd (she's going with me to WW) and an almost 11 year old son. My dh is VERY fit and disciplined which kind of makes me feel like a loser because it's so hard for me to even try to be like that.

I've decided that I will NOT weigh myself here at home.... and I am going to split up my flex points and use 5 extra every day. The leader said it was fine to do that and I think it may help me stay on track. Does anyone do this?

I already drink water (it's my favorite drink as a matter of fact) I'm going to cut down on diet soda and switch to decaf coffee. My dh refuses to switch to decaf so I think I will get one of those tiny coffee makers and just make myself 2 cups every morning. If I don't get my coffee in the morning I don't have a headache so I don't think the switch will be too hard.

I'm really excited to start the program and I'm hoping for a big first week to get myself even more motivated. :thumbsup2

Weighing In.

Wednesdays are my weigh in day, an I was the same weight as last week.
I was down and up this week as I did lose 1.5 about midweek, but then I don't think that free Sundae from Dairy Queen helped. :rotfl2: so on the record books it looked like it was one of my plateau weeks.

10 more pounds to go

Ken
