WW Weekly Weigh-in

Congratulations on all the losses! I finished my 1st week last night and was down 4.8 pounds.

I'm pretty happy. The first week went pretty smoothly. I actually had flex points left the last night. My goal this week is to earn three activity points. I am really struggling trying to fit it in.

Good luck to everyone. Keep up the hard work!

Gretchen

I did a Weight Watchers at Work program that ended two weeks ago. I had hoped that there would be enough interest to do another one, but there isn't and the regular meeting times of WW around here just don't work with my schedule, so I am going to try this without the meetings. If I don't have success, then I'll just have to figure out a way to fit the meetings in.

My first weigh in was this morning. I had gained .4 over my last WW weigh in, but given what I've been eating, I was pleased it wasn't more!

Good luck to everyone.

Great loss Gretchen!:yay: While I have plenty of time to work on Activity points. I am lacking the motivation. I have not done any formal exercise yet. I am happy that I spent about 5 hours cleaning and reorganizing today. I am going to commit to doing the "Walk away the pounds" DVD tomorrow for at least 30 minutes.

Good luck NCRedding. My hisband is in the same situation. They brought Weight Watchers into his office, He was the only man that joined, he had success but there was not enough interest to continue. He has been doing it on his own also. It helps that I bring home what I hear about in the meetings. He has thought of joining online so he would have access to the Etools.

Hi everybody! I am new to this thread. I just joined Weight Watchers last week after being away for more than ten years. I had success at that time and after losing about 50 lbs I slowly put it all back and then some. I then did the Atkins diet and again lost 50 lbs and then put it all back and then some even quicker. For the past two years I have been trying to do Atkins with no success at all. I lose about 10 lbs, start feeling better, have some carbs and gain 20.

Anyway, January 1st is when I started the Flex Plan but I did not make it to a meeting until January 3rd. I had my first weigh in today and I was down 3.2. Of course I would have liked to be down 10 but I feel determined to stick with it this time. I feel like Weight Watchers has really changed into an eating program that I can stick with for the rest of my life. I cannot believe how much I have been able to eat just by making the right choices. I have close to 100 lbs to lose so I really have to stay committed. Thanks for reading and I look forward to posting here. :)

WELCOME!!! :cheer2:

And I forgot to let you all know at WI I was down 0.4 = thats two sticks of butter (gotta look at the positive!!!)

going for a little walk....

good luck this week everyone!!!

Okay, I have been a slacker, now that January is here and it is tax time I am far too busy at work so that leaves little DIS time. So I need to catch up a little I see as you all have been quite the busy bees.

First a big :welcome: to WeCan'tWait, so glad to have you here and congrats on your 3.2 pound loss.

More congrats to our losers, WDWLVR - 1.5; Mikamah - 1.2; jakenjacksmom - 5; chirurgeon - 3; cepmom - 1.2; Temair - 5.4; tiggeraholic - 1.6; gwcollins71 - 4.8; and tubachick - .04. I hope I didn't miss anyone, if I did I am sorry. Wow and congrats to you all for your hard work!!! :cool1:

cepmom, from experience, I have to agree with mikamah, you are not eating enough. Your body needs fuel to burn calories and your 22 points daily are not enough to fuel a body that is exercising. You will have to experiment to see what works best for you, but I highly recomend that you eat at least your 35 FLEX points if you are exercising and earning exercise points. It sounds crazy to eat more, but your body really needs it.

NCRedding, good for you for continuing on with Weight Watchers without your group! Stop by here for support and best of luck on your journey.

It is so great to see this thread busy once again. What a great bunch of losers!!!!!:woohoo:

So I went to my first weigh in last week, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. I was up just three pounds from my starting weight last time I joined. So I was ok with that. I did good most of this week. But I went to DL with the family on friday and was off track most of the day. I tracked everything though, and with the walking I did, I should be ok. I don't weigh in till Tuesday, so I should be able to get more exercise in by then. Good luck to everyone!

Stacerita, so glad your weigh in wasn't as bad as you thought.....you see you did a pretty good job if you only gained three pounds. Back OP those 3 pounds should come off in no time at all. Have a great week!

Weigh-in was this morning and I'm down 1/2 pound. I was hoping for more, but a loss is a loss. I did great working out last week and did ok with eating so I know I'm going in the right direction!

Congrats to all those getting on WW or back to WW.

OK - I'm down 2.4 this week - even surviving a trip to Outback - gotta love plain steamed broccoli without butter! That's almost five lbs since 1/2/ 08 - I'm happy, though it's slowgoing. Going to Starbucks this PM to indulge.

Wow, this thread is getting busy!! This is AWESOME!!! It's been a little crazy around here. I wish I had more time to spend on the DIS too.

I just want to say :welcome: to all our newcomers, and a big congratulations to all our losers!!!!:cheer2: And to anyone who had gained, we all have our ups and downs, and if we don't give up, those downs will out number the ups, and we'll see a loss, and our bodies will be healthier!!

I am down 1.6 this week. I find it amazing how I can gain 7 pounds in 3 weeks, but it comes back off so slowly. I've been doing good exercising. I've done at least 30 minutes five times a day for the past 2 weeks. I'm doing the walk away the pounds on comcast on demand in the morning before my son gets up, and it's been very motivating.

Have an wonderful, losing day everyone!!!

I just started checking out this board. What are the rules and regulations?
I have been on WW for awhile now. Started at Labor Day 2006 at 225 and lost 50 pounds for my Disney trip Feb 07.

I tried to keep it up after the trip and gained back 25 pounds, but since this past fall I have been back on the techniques (journaling and counting points, but not going to the meetings).

Currently at 193
Goal: 180

Thanks for the Welcome Tubachick and Tiggerlover!

Tiggerlover, Your signature is very inspiring!

Thank you. As anyone who has lost weight or is currently losing weight, it isn't easy, but if I can inspire someone along the way than I feel blessed.

WDWLVR, you are so right, every loss should be celebrated as a loss means less of us. So congrats on your half pound!!

smwf71, slow and steady wins the race! You are doing a great job, if you take the average weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week, your 5 pounds is already ahead of the average. Congratulations!!:cool1:

Mik, I hear you about finding the time to DIS, I wish I had more time. I also hear you about gaining quickly and then the slow loss, it seems so unfair....teehee. Yeah for you on your loss this week, kudos!!:woohoo:

I<3EvilQueen, :welcome: There are no rules or regs for this thread, anyone doing WW is welcome. Iwas in the "lost the weight, gained 25 pounds back again" so I can relate. This is a great place to come for support while you work your way back down!

I am down .6 this week. I used some of my flex points this past week, but not all. I asked the woman that runs the WW meetings and she told me not to force myself to eat the whole 35 weekly points, but rather to mix it up week to week....use some points then not use them etc.

I weigh myself at home on meeting day and I was down 1.4 but by the time I got to weigh in I was only down .6....I guess 3 glasses of water and 2 cups of coffee will do that!

congrats to all on your weigh in's this week! Here's to another healthy week!

Oh My !!!!

I made lifetime today!!!
Then after the meeting, the leader asked me if I wanted to work for WW.
Im stunned! On the way home I was thinking it just might be a blast helping out.

Has anyone worked for WW... Id love to know

Keep up the good work everyone ... we're in it together.

Ann
