WW Weekly Weigh-in

Next weigh in isn't until July, so it will be a month until my next update.

I tried my hardest to count up all the points I ate at DL with all the walking we did. Not bad #. Walked for est.7hrs but only did 4 rides. Ate 30 points.
Friday, about the same.
Way off Topic.
DL is more intimate then WDW which is 5 times Larger. Some of the rides look different, but still the same. Splash Mountain, you sit single file, back to front. Makes for a great pic coming down the flume. Keep your left hand up and your right out to your side. You look like an "L". You can see everyone in your group.
Hotels: 3 on property. Disneyland Hotel(the oldest) Paradise Pier(next door) and The Grand Californian(the $$$$)but it does have an entrance to California Adventure. Some of the rooms have a nice over hang view to Downtown Disney . They also have many hotel within walking distance. From accross the street to several blocks. Hotels have a great bus service to and from hotels/DL. Now the new subs are working... "Finding Nemo" Very cute ride. It will be open on the 11th( on Monday).

With all that exercise I am sure you are fine with your 30 points. Lord knows there is a lot of walking involved when you are at the parks.

Thanks for the DL info, I think I will have to send for their park DVD so we can get a feel for the park. We are so familiar with WDW it would be nice to see something different. Is the Disneyland hotel a moderate hotel? The other hotels within walking distance would they be better or do you get early entry by staying at a Disney hotel? Thanks for the off topic help, I appreciate it!!

Gosh, Kim, you guys couldn't get rid of me that easy!!!! I just meant I wouldn't have an official weigh in to report for a month. You will loose me for awhile though, we are going on vacation starting Friday, going home to NY. Having a surprise 80th birthday party for my mom and then on Father's day an 11th birthday for DS. Then we are leaving DS at grandma's for two weeks......all of these events are stressers and it will be a challenge to make it through the food. I have never left DS alone for more than two days when I took a girls trip away, so it will be interesting to say the least.

How are things going with you?
 
I was up .6 today, but not surprised since I had such a big loss last week, and figure it all has to even out. I'm still on track, and we leave on a vacation to sesame place next tuesday, so I'm planning to be real good til then.

tiggerlover- as a lifetime member, could you weigh in more than once a month if you wanted to? I would think it might be hard to go just monthly when you've been used to weighing in weekly. But I guess as a lifetime member, you're more in control and hopefully maintaining pretty easily. Hope you have a great vacation. You're son will probably have a blast being spoiled by grandma.

I think I forgot to check in here last week... I lost 1.8 lbs this week (I had gained .8 last week) I'm down 12.4 total so far.

Hi Mik. Sorry you were up a little this week, but you are right with the big loss last week you are probably evening out. As a lifetime member I can weigh in every week if I want, but I am going to try not to, I want to try to learn to live without being a slave to the scale. If it doesn't work, then I will go back to weighing every week.

Thanks, Kim. I am the baby of the bunch, mom and dad thought they were done having babies when I came along, they were 40 and 42 at the time! (So yes, I am 40). :D

I hope now that your DH has gone back to work that the corruption and temptation is removed and you can move forward. Those little plateaus are a pain, I hope you break through yours soon. :)
 
May I join your group? I just started WW today (for the LAST time)!! I'm starting with the Core plan right now. I'm going to be a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding in June of 2008. That was all the inspiration that I needed to get fit! Let's kick those pounds to the curb! :)

Of course you can join our group.....the more the merrier!!! I will be eager to hear how you like the Core plan, I have never tried it, but admit to being a little curious. I see from your ticker that you are heading to Italy in two weeks, I am so jealous.....I lived there for almost 9 years and would love to go back for a visit. I hope you have a wonderful trip and good luck with all of that Italian food!!
 
I am sad to report my first gain since I started WW in April!! :sad1: It was my weekend away with my girlfriends that did me in!! I had thought about it a lot and hoped to do better, but the temptation was just too great! I thought maybe I'd stay the same with no gain, but no such luck! It was only +1, but still, I was very disappointed when I weighed in on Wednesday. But, I jumped right back on plan, and hopefully that pound will come off quickly!!! I have 2 more weekend trips coming up though, and I have got to do better!!! I was hoping to make my 10% goal by the 4th of July. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! :wave:

I'm just on my third day of core now and I'm really liking it. I hope my body will, too, when I step on the scale next Wednesday! Basically, I love food on the extreme, which means that I LOVE fruits and veggies and I LOVE all the bad foods (i.e. pizza, chips, etc.). I'm hoping that by eating Core foods I can lesson my cravings for the bad foods. :)

I'm SO excited to go to Europe, as it will be my first time! I am a bit nervous about how I'm going to stay OP, but I will be walking a ton (going with a tour group) so I'm sure that will help, as well. My sister went last summer so she gave me lots of pointers on great places to eat and healthy entrees to enjoy, too! :)

I can't remember if I mentioned this yet, but I'm a teacher and so are all, but one of my friends. We have all spent the last week or so just going out to eat. LOL It's be different trying to order Core at a restaurant, but I can completely understand how those girlfriend weekends can do you in sometimes! ;) Other than that, I think you should be so proud that this is the first gain that you made! AMAZING! :)

DON't GIVE UP!!! I was in the same situation as you a few weeks ago! I had my first gain(1.6 pounds) in 12 weeks, and I was so mad at myself because I just didn't have the willpower to resist all the food at Memorial Day!!! So, I got back on plan and lost all of it the following week, plus an extra 1/2 pound. The following week(last week) I lost almost another 1 pound. So, I am only 1.2 pounds from my goal weight! I am kind of stuck this week, but that is OK. As long as I don't give up, I know that I will reach my goal eventually! Just stick with the plan because it works and you will feel so much better! You go, girl!!!:thumbsup2

lajones81- :welcome: I'm with you as far as this being the last time I do ww. Together we all will reach our goals and maintain them!! Sounds like you have a wonderful vacation planned. I wonder if the meals in europe are normal sized, not supersized like here in the US. I'm sure there will be healthy choices out there, and if you plan for the splurges you'll do just fine. When I go away, I try to eat fairily healthy for 2 out of our 3 meals daily, and hope to maintain. good luck.

Andrea_loves_Disney-Sorry you had your first gain. It sounds like you have gotten right back on that proverbial horse and you'll lose it this week. I try to look at those frustrating gains as a learning experience, and motivation to get back on track.

Harvest02-You're so close to goal!!!:cheer2: Those last couple pounds come off so slowly, but they'll stay off forever that way!! good luck!!

I've been pms-ing and snacking too much. Have been trying to eat lots of fruit, and getting some exercise too, but I need to get back on and stay on track for the next couple days. We are leaving tuesday for vacation, so I'll miss my weighin this week. I'm hoping to make more healthy choices while away and stick with one indulgent meal per day. I can be happy with a popsicle instead of a dove bar when it's hot. I'll save my points for a frozen margarita instead.

Hello all! WI today and I am down 1.6!!! Yay! I was so discouraged after my gain last week - it was really a relief to see that lb gone plus a little more!!! I am still hoping to make my 10% goal by July 4 - that is if I can survive through 2 weekends away from home - :scared: I am a little nervous but I am more determined this time!!!! I hope to move a little more (morning walks maybe) on these trips to offset any extra eating I might do!! Anyway, hope everyone is having a good week!! :goodvibes
