WW Weekly Weigh-in

I weighed in this morning and only 1/2 pound again. I think the next few weeks are going to be rough until we complete the weaning process and my body figures out what it needs. I know I also need to step up my exercise more- I've been slacking alot lately. Keep up the good work everyone!

I was up 2.6 today as expected. I just went back and read my posts from the end of april when I did so well for a couple weeks, and noted that I was posting here much more frequently and said I had been totally honest with myself and wrote down every little bite I put in my mouth. Today is the first day I will do that again, and am going stay on program for the next 2 1/2 weeks until my vacation. I've done it before and I can do it again!!!

KJo719- You're doing great. :cheer2: A half a pound down is a good weekly loss and those small losses will definitely add up.

ucfsweetie82- Awesome loss!!!! :thumbsup2 Healthy for life is my goal too!! Keep up the great work.

daisy2-Congrats on your loss to date. You're doing awesome!!!:cool1:

Keep up the hard work everyone and we will all reach our goals. We can do it!!!

Congratulations Tiggerlover. I'm so glad you had a wonderful celebratory meeting tonight. You deserve it. It sounds like you've made some nice friends at your meeting. That new shiny red GOALribbon looks marvelous on you!!!!

Good luck to everyone. We can do this!!!

Thanks Mik. I replied to you on another thread and just wanted to send some {{{HUGS}}} your way. It is hard when we lose control and see the scale going in the other direction, so frustrating I know. Hang in there, try to turn the scale in the other direction and hang firm in your conviction to lose.
You have the power to control, I know you can do this, you can succeed!!

Way to go Tiggerlover!!! How exciting for you!!! keep up the good work. I myself am just plugging away. I love 2 pounds last week and another .8 this week. I am now down 13.8 this is the best that I have done since I joined. Way to go to everyone else just keep up the good work.

Thanks, Daisy. Kudos to you for your losses, you are doing wonderfully. Keep up the great work.

I weighed in last night and lost 3.4 lbs for a total of 13 pounds. My fiance and I are doing this together because we want to be healthy for life. Hope everyone has a great week.

3.4 is fantastic, not easy to do in one week. And a thirteen pound total loss is wonderful, congrats.

1/2 pound is still a half pound, congrats. {{{HUGS}}} for you as you make the adjustment from weaning. My biggest mistake when I weaned my son was that I kept eating like I was nursing. Sounds like you have a plan, best of luck to you.

Mikamah,
Sorry to hear about your gain! You are not alone! I had a gain this week too, my first one after 12 weeks on the program. I was VERY mad at myself because I didn't write everything down like I should have. We also went to the Indy 500 and didn't eat so well there. Plus, we had a block party on Memorial Day, so that was bad too! I gained 1.4, but since I weighed in on Thursday, I am back down to my weight before last weekend. I have been faithful this week to writing down everything. Hang in there! Slip ups are not a sign of failure. At WW this week, they talked about that. My WW leader said that we need to look at how far we have come and be proud of ourselves for that. We also need to forgive ourselves when we have a setback, and move on. Funny, that meeting felt like it was meant for me!!!:lmao:

I weighed in tonight and my regular leader was back....yeah!!! So many members complained to her about her awful replacement last week, she said she will try not to use her again! Anyway, she was very excited that I made lifetime and she really made it special for me. She changed things up and presented lifetime first when she was doing awards and as she was calling me up, I hear a WAIT come from behind me and the next thing I know some of my WW buddies are putting a pink boa and a flashing princess crown on me! I was so touched, it really made up for last week. And the icing on the cake was that I lost another .8 this week. :)

So thanks to you all for helping me through this journey, you all have a huge inpact on my success. I look forward to many more years here with my WISH buds!!!:cloud9:

Onward and downward!!

That is a great story!! I am sooo happy for you!! I sure hope you are doing something to reward yourself for reaching goal :goodvibes

:cool1:  :dance3: :yay: :yay: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: YAY for you!!!!!

You got it right... planning is key "Failure to plan is planning to fail"
You will do just great I am so sure of it!

I had wi today.. up 2.2, no big deal as but I think I know why. Maybe some of you can relate to this...

If you wi say at 5pm every week but one week you have to change your wi o say 9am same day, do you think you will see the same wi you would of if you went at 5pm??

I had to change my wi and in stead of going in the am, I had to go at supper time, so I think that is why I was up. I also kicked butt this week in excersizing so maybe it is muscle :confused3 I am not worried because my pants are soo falling off, I know it is melting off not matter what the scale says!

Good news is my DD (13) joined last week  she did it after watching me being successful... first she went with me on my first day in Feb and didnt want to join, but being around me did something because she had lost 6.6 since Feb, then she lost 3.8 this week  :cool1: she is down 10.4 total :yay: :yay: I am soo happy for her! She is doing Curves and Yoga with me now too:yay: so much good coming from this change I decided to start :woohoo:

Congrat to everyone for just sticking with it! You all are awesome!!

Havent checked in for a couple of weeks.. I had a small 1.4 gain, then a 1.4 loss... At this mornings WI I had a 1.2 loss for a total of 17lbs!:woohoo:

Wow Harvest, this was very well said, what a great way to look at it. I am sorry you had your first gain, but so glad to hear you recognized it, dealt with it and are "moving on". :)

You know, I haven't thought about rewarding myself with anything. My reward is that I am living healthier, making better choices and incorporating what I have learned in my life. My true reward will be keeping the weight off.

Your outlook is phenomenal!!! I think that you hit the nail right on the head about the weigh in times, time of day makes a big difference. As long as the clothes are fitting better you know you are on the right track and you probably are turning fat into lean muscle.

Great news about your DD, that is so wonderful, she must be excited herself.

AMEN TO THAT!!!:cool1: :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Awe come on... do something good for yourself... like a massage  OK I admit it, I will use ANY excuse to book me one of those... just thought I would pass that gift to you LOL

I am so glad I found this thread. I have been on DIS for years but never had never dieted until 3 months ago. So I never even knew about the WISH boards. Anyway, I lost 10 lbs on my own and then stopped losing so i thougt I would join WW to lose my last 10. I have lost a total of 6.6 lbs in 4 weeks. Last week I only lost .2 and I was so disappointed. This will be great support for me since I can't make any of the meetings because my kids are always with me. DH works ridiculous hours since he has started his own business.
My problem the last few weeks seems to be too many BBQ and graduation parties now that the weather is warmer.

Buzzfanmom-:welcome: This is a great thread to find inspiration and support. The summer parties can be tough, but WW is a great program where you can plan and fit in most anything. It's hard when it's one party after another. Congratulations on you loss so far. You're doing great. The weight loss definitely slows down as you get nearer to goal, so hang in there. You'll do it.

tiggerlover-Thanks for the support. I know I can do this too. (this week anyway) I think I might just be one of those people who has to take 2 steps forward and 1 step back to stick with the program. I have come so far, and will not give up. I agree with miss missy and you deserve a massage to go with your healthy lifestyle.;)

drgnfly30-Keep up the great work!! 17 pounds is awesome!!:thumbsup2

miss missy-Time of day definitely affects your weight. I think you can fluctuate by 2-3 pounds during the day, and are up in the evening. I always weighin in the morning, but once in a while I've had to go in the evening and am always up. I'm sure you'll see a loss next week. Kudos to you on being such a great influence on you daughter. I'm sure that feels wonderful.

Harvest02- Sorry you had a gain too. That sounded like the perfect meeting. I have to write everything down, or I'll definitely be over points. I try not to beat myself up, but it definitely gets me down sometimes to lose control. Here's to a loss next week!:cheer2:

This is my third day in control, and within my points. I'm weighing on wed this week, and am hopful I'll have lost some of what I gained the past 2 weeks. Keep up the good work one and all. :cheer2: We can do this!!

I haven't checked in since my last WI 2 weeks ago. We didn't have a meeting last Monday because of Memorial Day. I am VERY happy to report that in 2 weeks I lost 7.4 pounds for a grand total of 33.2 pounds lost since March
12th :)

Great job to everyone!

Awe come on... do something good for yourself... like a massage  OK I admit it, I will use ANY excuse to book me one of those... just thought I would pass that gift to you LOL

Now if that came with a gift card.......;)

Really though, if I want something I usually buy it. I do treat myself to a pedicure once a month, which I enjoy. But other than that?????????

:welcome: There is always room for one more! Congrats to you on your loss to date, that is wonderful. I wouldn't beat yourself up for "only .2", the closer you get to your goal the slower you loose. It took me several months to lose a couple of pounds the closer I got to goal. You just have to hang in there and you will perservere. As for the parties the key to success there is to plan before you go, drink lots of water and if you don't think there will be anything "safe" for you to eat, bring it yourself.

SO glad to hear you aren't willing to give up, you are right, you have come far and together we can still go farther. Glad to hear that you had three days in control, keep up the great work!!! I am routing for you all the way. :woohoo:
